"This was our first trip to Costa Rica. My husband, kids and sister spent the week in the condo. We got exactly what we thought we had purchased online in terms of the condo, proximity to the ocean, view etc. The condo was perfect for us and well furnished/stocked. Stephanie arranged for a driver from San Jose. I had several changes to our itinerary and she was on top of all of the changes. The driver was EXCELLENT. She was also great about answering the many questions I had before the trip. The penthouse views are spectacular and it is so relaxing to sit outside and listen to the waves coming in. You can easily walk in to town but it is only a couple of dollars to grab a cab. The guard will call one for you at any time. We enjoyed Taco Bar, Los Amigos among others. Jaco is a great little town with lots of shops and restaurants. The farmer's market on Fridays is wonderful and a great place to get fresh fruit and veggies. We did the catamaran tour around Manual Antonia, the canopy tour as well as the guided tour of Manual Antonio. All of these were booked through the tour company that Stephanie and John referred us too. I would highly recommend all of them.
We had some trouble with the phone in the condo. Stephanie and John were all over this and made sure that the phone was fixed as soon as possible. In the interim they brought us a pre paid cell phone in case we needed to make phone calls until it got fixed. Very much appreciated their attention to detail.
I have been to many places and I absolutely fell in love with Costa Rica!!! Our great hosts made the trip easy and enjoyable. we will be back. thank you so much."

"I was part of a group of six adults and two children staying at this most awesome home for Christmas 2014. In every group, some can be comfortable, while others not.
I loved Gary's home! Everything that is needed can be found here!
I loved waking up before sunrise, sitting on the back porch with my husband watching the sun rise over the beach.
Pool stayed in almost constant use. We used the built-in barbecue located next to the pool. This area also boasts showers, bathrooms, and volleyball net with ball! ready for a fun family game. In the backyard, the fence door opens right onto the beach. After walking on the beach there is a water hose making it easy to rinse the sand off.
This house is in a perfect beach location! Really enjoyed walking for a couple of miles after the tide rolls out in the morning. Beautiful landscape, lots of nice people to meet.
Most amenities Gary listed were put to good use, #1- WIFI! The Ping-Pong table held several matches, the foosball table saw some action. Even my husband enjoyed the rope swing… we have pictorial evidence. We enjoyed puzzles at the table in the evenings. On Christmas, we played our annual game of Risk which lasted to the next day! We left the game for many others to enjoy.
If you like open air, then this home offers it! Large windows with large doors that allow good circulation throughout the main part of the house - gives a "beachy" feel and not closed up. Plenty of ceiling fans throughout the house!
Full kitchen with plenty of counter-space. A large refrigerator and pantry. Easy to cook breakfast and dinners when desired.
Bedrooms were spacious. If a box fan is not in your room, ask Gary and for an extension cord if need be!
It is true the shower water is not American standard hot. Gary was able to adjust the water from being tepid to warm.
Gary is the best host ever! Shortly after arriving my husband became ill from a flu he picked up at work and unable to travel to the airport the next day to pick up the rest of our group. At a moment's notice, Gary was able to make the second trip but also stop by the pharmacy to get flu medicine. His wife immediately provided two icepacks.
Everybody's opinion matters, but only you can decide what is important to you! If you are looking for Pura Vida in Costa Rica with the greatest host, the greatest place, at the greatest price… choose property #17355!"

"My friends and I went to Casa Dolphin for New Year's and everything was awesome. Susan is a very kind person and she always answered my mails with all the info that we needed.
The house is actually more beautiful and charming than it looks on pictures. Everything was clean and neat, the rooms are comfortable, the bathrooms are very well maintained and the kitchen has everything you need. The pool was always clean and fresh.
We spend a wonderful week and we have no complaints :)"

"My husband and I, plus our teenage granddaughter, stayed in this condo on the 6th floor and what a great decision we made! The photos are true and the balcony also has a couch
which my husband took all his naps there! There is a wood dining table plus a high round bar table with stools. We could live on the balcony with the beautiful views of the beach. Hearing the waves was so peaceful. We never wanted to leave it. Having an end unit we also had the side view of the balcony that had a view of the full beach! This unit is special with front view from kitchen window and high side windows which makes it light and bright in the living room. TV's in both bedrooms, Washer and Dryer in unit, fully equiped kitchen, two bathrooms for each bedroom with rain shower heads in both. There is an elevator right by the front door and a security guard at the gate entrance. The Palms is right next door to the new Croc's Hotel with a nice size casino, full bar by their pools and other amenities that are shared with the Palms.
You don't even have to go outside your complex to get there. Just a walkway from your parking area over to their pools. They will give you towels there also. The palms also has a pool you can see from your balcony. I was lucky enough to see two parrots fly right by the balcony which was beautiful! Jaco has a lot of restaurants to chose from and we truly enjoyed our stay in Butch's spacious condo. We will definitely stay there again on our next visit. I feel like I made a new friend from phone conversations with the owner. The management company is very helpful also. One day we had a tour bus pick us up and we took a catamaran for the day to Tortugua island. I recommend this side trip and Butch's condo- either one, you won't be sorry."
