  • Pura Vida at its finest

"My family and I stayed at this property for three weeks. To say that this property met and exceeded the requirements for our Costa Rican dream vacation is an understatement. The house had three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, dining room, and a kitchen. The bedrooms were supplied with everything one needs for comfort and convenience. The location was excellent as the house is situated next to a quaint fishing village, which provided a quiet and serene setting. You can hear the waves crashing from every room in the house while macaws are squawking and eating from the almond trees along the back fence line. The pool added to the beautiful setting and provided for a much-needed cool down after a day’s worth of adventure. What is most important about this property is that the service we received by the staff, but in particular, Patri the Property Manager was superior in every manner. Upon arrival, one member in our party became ill. Patri rushed over to make sure they were okay and then took her to the local doctor to ensure she received care. Patri arranged every detail of our trip so that we did not have to plan anything except for telling her the activity we wished to do. I can say that this was a true vacation in the sense that the house provided relaxation due to its location and the service provided by Patri and her staff. The service was personal and first rate. If you want, a Costa Rican vacation that provides a glimpse of true “Tico” lifestyle while including the adventure or relaxation elements desired then this house will meet or exceed your expectations."

  • Week stay in Jaco during Green season

"My wife and I with our 2 friends try to go to the Caribbean every year. This year we decided to try something different and picked Costa Rica on the Pacific side. I am usually reluctant to go to a place where we have no reccomendations from friends, but we decided to give it a try. The condo was large, clean, Well furnished and was facing the water. The management staff was attentive to all our needs as well as arranging for our airport transportation and excursions. The town of Jaco was one block away and all the people were friendly and helpful. Lots of choices to eat and easy to meld into the culture. If we go back to Jaco we would stay at the same complex again."

"We have just returned from a 15 day stay at Rilana's Villa in Jaco and have fully enjoyed our stay at this location. These 4 studios are a short walk to the ocean and the busy strip for all your needs--restaurants ,groceries, shopping, etc.. The staff were cheerful, pleasant and always ready to help. Their daily cleaning and maintenance of the property was outstanding. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone."

Jaco Travel Tips

Jaco Beach Rentals in a Sleepy Beach Town

Jaco was once the archetypal beach town where you would find surfers lining the waves, others sleeping on the beach, and more walking around shirtless in just board shorts. Once word got out about hidden area and the surfing to be found there, Jaco Beach rentals became premiere destinations. Surfers from all over the world spend weeks at Jaco resorts to ride the high waves.

Vacations in Costa Rica at Jaco Beach are usually in Puntarenas Province on the Pacific Coast. Jaco is in central Costa Rica less than two hours from San Jose.

Jaco Resorts for International Surfing

Surfing is what draws most tourists to Jaco resorts, yet the town does not lack fun. There are several bars, restaurants, and places to visit but on the whole, vacations in Costa Rica to Jaco are all about the surfing. The waves are high and unyielding which means swimming is dangerous and riptides frequent the waters. However, for those who do not surf, Jaco beach rentals can still be great places to visit.

Vacations in Costa Rica at Playa Hermosa and Herradura

It is true that Jaco's water is less than perfect for swimming but Playa Hermosa and Playa Herradura which are within six miles of Jaco are great for swimming. Playa Hermosa has an international surf convention each year and Playa Herradura is another top surf beach. Both the beaches are great for sunbathing, horseback riding, and enjoying the view of the Pacific Ocean. Vacations in Costa Rica can also be about eco-tourism with canopy tours, jungle trips, and hiking if you want to get away from the beach for a while.

When to Visit Jaco Beach Rentals

The best time to visit Jaco beach rentals is from January to April. These months offer the driest season. September and October are the rainiest months which you might want to avoid if you really want to see and experience Costa Rica. At other times of the year, the rainfall can come and go so you can expect to find Jaco resorts somewhat busy.
