  • Dream Vacation

"In January 2014, my friend and I had the great pleasure of renting a condo at Tres Regalos, Jaco, CR. This was my second visit, having spent time there a year ago, as well. What a perfect place! The ocean view from the front patio offered our group privacy from, yet close proximity to, the beautiful pool. Other residents in the complex were friendly and ready to visit around the pool, giving the entire complex a relaxed, small-town community feel. The condo was lovely, clean, and spacious, with dishes, towels, sheets, and much more, all provided. The condo owner provided us with all that we could possibly want in our home-away-from-home. We appreciated the security of the built-in safe for valuables but never felt a sense of worry for our belongings at all. Condo Managers, Aude and Bertrand, went above and beyond, in providing friendly, prompt, courteous service. I know that everyone in the complex is delighted with the new management! Aude and Bertrand made themselves readily available for anyone who had a request, and they responded immediately to the best of their ability. My computer had keyboard issues, and Bertrand was even ready to help me with that!!! My only wish, now, is that one day soon I get to return. Loretta"

  • Great home

"Nice home, beautiful garden with pool! It is a very quiet neighborhood and not to far from main strip. We really enjoyed it and will be back. Rebecca is great."

  • Total Relaxation!

"Our week spent at Casa Amarilla was wonderful. From the great caretakers to the fully furnished home. Our party included two couples and this home had plenty of room for all of us! Prior to our arrival we received detailed driving instructions that were most accurate. We did encounter a road closure on the new highway that delayed our initial arrival so be sure to check ahead on your arrival date for any possible road closures. This was our first visit to Costa Rica and a few things stood out. First and foremost is the friendliness of all the people we met. Everyone we met were more than happy to help this group of gringo's find their way around the area. The next welcome surprise was the sheer beauty of the area, from the frequent visits from the Macaws to the gorgeous sunsets each evening. One of the greatest days we had was with Tico Style Tours where we met Gino and his lovely wife Maria. In one day we visited Gino's private beach, went fishing, snorkeling and enjoyed fresh fruit and lobster on the beach. We ended the day with a beautiful oceanview sunset and a great dinner prepared by Maria and delivered to Casa Amarilla. Last but not least we would like to thank Patri for all the great information and ideas she provided prior to and during our visit that helped make our vacation a most comfortable and relaxing time. We hope to return to Costa Rica in the near future for a much longer visit Pura Vida Mike & Karla"

  • Great for families

"My family greatly enjoyed ourselves at this wonderful beachfront condo. We were two kids (age: 4 years and an infant), a grandfather, my wife and I. The stay was perfect, the view was beautiful, the pool was great, and the interior was wonderful. The kitchen was fully stocked and we cooked almost every meal. The local stores had everything we needed (tip: just buy local goods from the stores, anything imported from the US is overpriced and bad such as apples and grapes) The owners and property managers were very helpful from the moment we expressed interest and throughout the stay. The building is almost the last building on the north end of Jaco and is very quiet (but note that a casino will open up sometime in the near future). The best way to get around town is by taxi, which is only $2-3 one way. There is no need to rent a car (@ $60-100 a day including insurance)! Most people in the building were retirees, which was perfect for our family. For surfing, there is a school not far away (WOW Surf) that I took a lesson on. Get in shape before you try it!"

Jaco Travel Tips

Jaco Beach Rentals in a Sleepy Beach Town

Jaco was once the archetypal beach town where you would find surfers lining the waves, others sleeping on the beach, and more walking around shirtless in just board shorts. Once word got out about hidden area and the surfing to be found there, Jaco Beach rentals became premiere destinations. Surfers from all over the world spend weeks at Jaco resorts to ride the high waves.

Vacations in Costa Rica at Jaco Beach are usually in Puntarenas Province on the Pacific Coast. Jaco is in central Costa Rica less than two hours from San Jose.

Jaco Resorts for International Surfing

Surfing is what draws most tourists to Jaco resorts, yet the town does not lack fun. There are several bars, restaurants, and places to visit but on the whole, vacations in Costa Rica to Jaco are all about the surfing. The waves are high and unyielding which means swimming is dangerous and riptides frequent the waters. However, for those who do not surf, Jaco beach rentals can still be great places to visit.

Vacations in Costa Rica at Playa Hermosa and Herradura

It is true that Jaco's water is less than perfect for swimming but Playa Hermosa and Playa Herradura which are within six miles of Jaco are great for swimming. Playa Hermosa has an international surf convention each year and Playa Herradura is another top surf beach. Both the beaches are great for sunbathing, horseback riding, and enjoying the view of the Pacific Ocean. Vacations in Costa Rica can also be about eco-tourism with canopy tours, jungle trips, and hiking if you want to get away from the beach for a while.

When to Visit Jaco Beach Rentals

The best time to visit Jaco beach rentals is from January to April. These months offer the driest season. September and October are the rainiest months which you might want to avoid if you really want to see and experience Costa Rica. At other times of the year, the rainfall can come and go so you can expect to find Jaco resorts somewhat busy.
