"Our family of five spent a week at Tesoro Escondido- truly a Hidden Treasure! It was a quick walk to EVERYTHING! Very nice to be off of the main strip, but close to everything. The local bakery was a favorite for our three teenagers. The house has everything you can imagine needing from beach towels to a washer and dryer. The kitchen is fully stocked with all serving and cooking wares and small appliances- LOVED the gas stove with 6 burners! Vivian was quick to answer all of our questions and Rebecca, the local manager was absolutely wonderful. The house is beautifully maintained, we very much enjoyed the pool and cabana every morning and night. I took more pictures of the gorgeous flowers and the yard than the kids! Book it for your own - you will not be disappointed."

"I was there for with 10 other people for a bachelor party. I think everyone in the group agreed that it was probably the best vacation they had ever had. The house is amazing, it feels like you're in an MTV crib type of place. It's literally on the beach, and the beach in Costa Rica is pretty unreal. Jim (the owner of the house) was awesome. He set up ATV riding, transportation, and the chef for us, all for better prices than anyone else could do. We had the chef everyday. It's pretty amazing how cheap it is and how amazing the food was. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU GETTING THE CHEF EVERYDAY!! Location is perfect in regards to the city too, as it's literally a $3 cab ride. (you could walk easily but we didn't) There is a security guard/yard keeper there 24 hours a day, and trust me when I say a security guard is important to have. They'll call a cab for you, set up beach volleyball for you, pretty much whatever you need. If you're going to JACO beach this is the place to be. If you tell people in town where you're staying they all know which house it is and how nice it is. I highly recommend casa rio mar!!"

"This condo was a perfect spring break rental for my husband, son and me. Everything was well maintained in the condo itself, and the grounds. The path providing beach access from the condo was nicely shaded, had a lovely stream with beautiful plants and flowers, frequently visited by bird life, and many lizards. The pool is a bit small, but provided a shaded alternative to the beach in the heat of the day. The condo is near to 2 or 3 surfboard rental and lesson locations on the beach. Wonderful trail to hike in hills very nearby where we saw a toucan close-up. We saw many macaws fly over and hang out nearby on the beach. Many restaurant options in nearby Jaco. So much fresh fruit. It was awesome. Thanks to the Richard for providing helpful suggestions for nearby activities. Could probably get by without a car. Car rental was unexpectedly expensive because Thrifty didn't mention at booking that required insurance doubles rental rate. Suggest you look into that during booking."
