"We stayed for a couple nights in November, 2015. Marc's instructions on how to get to the property and all the things to see and do were the best we've ever received from a Home Away rental. The condo was clean and spacious enough for the two of us, and it was the only place that had air conditioning during our week-long stay in Costa Rica.
The pictures in the description can't capture the panoramic view from the balcony. Marc's place is about 375 feet above the sea level (as are most of the condos there), so you get a view of the Pacific that you can't get from the beach. We spent most of our non-tourist time out on the balcony, even well after sunset.
There is a mini-market next door which has just about everything you need. The prices are very reasonable, especially for a tourist area. There are many places to eat nearby within 10 minutes walking distance, although like in most of Costa Rica, you're sometimes walking on the road and sometimes in what serves as a sidewalk/shoulder. We felt completely safe during our stay and the staff at the units was very helpful in answering our questions. If you like to walk with the monkeys, the Manuel Antonio National Park is a 5-minute drive from Marc's condo.
Despite the fact that there is no official public parking near/on the beach, we drove down there because we had seen others do so (I calculate the road at an average of 8% grade, so walking may be difficult for some (you should have a 4-wheel drive in all of Costa Rica)). We parked under a tree and there were about 10 others who did the same. While not technically a private beach, it is definitely one of the quietest we've experienced. The volcanic boulders and mini-islands are fun to investigate during low tide and provide spectacular wave crashes during mid- and high tides. Abundant life everywhere on the beach and the road leading to it.
Overall, a very pleasant and relaxing experience and we would stay here again."

"This was the second time our group stayed at casa Yin Yang.
The property is perfectly situated on the beach with just enough distance to get full privacy but still reach points of interest within walking distance. Not to mention the uncrowded beach break for surfing just outside the gate. The premises hold a high standard with everything you would expect.
Marta the property manager is nothing short of fantastic and goes the extra mile to ensure you get the most out of your stay. She's also shares her local knowledge and can recommend a range of quality assured services like yoga, massage, ATVs, etc. at a good price.
We are definitely coming back!"

"Loved this place. Super comfortable house with all of the amenities and a great feel. Even nicer than the photos. Sitting areas abound, tastefully decorated, all bathrooms are ensuite, little details provided (laundry soap, coffee, tea and even bug spray - which by the way wasn't necessary in the dry season), kitchen super usable and well supplied (yes, as others have commented, the dishes are high (we saw this in other houses in Costa Rica too) but it allows a window at the sink with great views of the monkeys in the trees, we just put our dishes in the pantry to make it easier - plus the maid had set the table so many of the dishes were already down anyway). The really great thing about this place, aside from it being a great house with a nice refreshing pool, is that you see more animals while relaxing at home than we did at the Manuel Antonio Park and Rainmaker Park! Titis (endangered squirrel monkeys) came by (20-40 of them), even several babies clinging to their mommas, every morning and many evenings, we also had visits from capuchin monkeys, coatimundis, iguanas, motmots, and other beautiful birds. This helped make our trip spectacular. Jonathan, from the property management company, was awesome and very helpful when we needed it. We had a couple of hiccups and he handled them graciously and quickly. He also booked excursions for us at the same price as booking yourself yet we in no way felt pressured to book through him. The information was simply there with his phone number - call if you need his services, or not. Great place!"

"My husband and I stayed here for 6 nights and we absolutely loved it. The house was beautiful with an amazing view of the ocean and the Whales Tail in Playa Uvita. We probably spent our entire time at the house on the balcony. The view from the house was unobstructed and breathtaking. It never got old. We didn't get to see as many animals as we'd like but we could hear them early in the morning and throughout the day and night. The house had everything that we could possibly need in a vacation rental; we wanted for nothing. The road up to the house was a bit intimidating at first but by the last day, I was breathing easier and no longer white knuckling the trips up and down. There is a reason why they strongly recommend getting a 4x4 tho. Don't disregard this advice!! Trina, the property manager was amazing and responded timely to our questions via text. The owners were fabulous. We received our deposit back almost immediately and Jacqui was very helpful with any questions I had. We would totally return and recommend this rental to anyone."
