"We were so glad to arrive and find this house to be everything it claimed to be. The property is in a good location, maybe a bit too far to walk to town for some, but doable if you like walking. It's a short drive though and easy to get back and forth.
The house is new, modern, clean and well equipped. The owners are very good communicators as is their support family that lives in an adjoining part of the house. We had wonderful surprises like a plate of papaya picked right from a tree by our door and a delicious desert delivered as a surprise treat one night. You won't be disappointed with the property itself.
As far as others who have mentioned the winds and in particular this location we are very sorry to have not taken them seriously enough. Yeah, a little wind, big deal. Well it's a big deal. It would be a great idea for the owners to put a kilo of ear plugs in a drawer for those who don't come prepared because the noise from the wind, it does howl, and the rattling of the windows and sliding doors makes it almost impossible to sleep. There are more sheltered places around Monteverde where the wind is not so noticeable, but this location is in an open field with no protection. Take heed and bring something to stuff in your ears. We took tour pamphlets and jammed them into the sliding door frame to reduce the rattling of a bedroom on the downward side of the wind direction which helped a little bit but nothing can reduce the howl of the wind streaming across the house. Maybe we were unlucky with the weather, but we asked and many said this was pretty typical winds for the area. The wind does not let up, and is at its strongest at night so be prepared.
Still a wonderful area to visit and we would go back as the house is truly a 5 star, but just a bit more prepared. Good value and caring owners were the key."

"We were at El Encanto in february for two weeks. We loved our stay there, the condo was clean and the kitchen very well equipped with a lot of pots and pans.An important point for us because we loved cooking .Really enjoy the swimming pool ,small but very nice. The place is at walking distance of everything, large groceries stores, restaurants, shops and bars but far enough to be quiet. We really enjoy Jaco and the proximity of the park Carrara and Manuel Antonio.Taxi from the condo to Jaco is less than $2.00 and there is a very good service by city bus to go to the Herradura beach in 20 minutes for 50 cents Curt and Dinah are very friendly and a good source of information. We appréciate the picking and dropping at the airport. We felt safe and we were like at home in Jaco and at El Encanto. Thanks at both of you.We will tell friends and be back for sure.

"My review will certainly not do this home justice you really need to see it to believe it. Everything about this home is incredible and it's so peaceful even my 12 year old son enjoyed every moment here. You really won't want to leave, the infinity pool is wonderful, you could sit in it all day long watching the howler monkeys who visited on a daily basis. The home is impeccable with the best decor. The location to Playa Hermosa was very close and even though we didn't want to leave the house ever, it was well worth the trip down the road. The local restaurant Dayka was terrific and so affordable, its a must try! Everything you would need is in Cobano which is just a short car ride away. Rolando the gardener was so nice, we enjoyed knowing there was someone around the property if we ever needed anything. The housekeeper was so efficient we hardly ever saw her. We can't forget to mention Flaco the grounds dog, so cute, he came for a visit everyday which we enjoyed. The only other venture we did was an afternoon trip to Santa Theresa and ate at Habeneros on the beach, stunning and delicious food! We can't wait to go back, this house is a gem and so are the owners. Thank you again for opening up your wonderful home, this made for a wonderful trip and a lifetime of memories!"

"This spacious house a few minutes from the beach is surrounded by nature. Amazing flowers attract lots of butterflies and hummingbirds; white faced monkeys visit occasionally in the trees; and iguanas and smaller lizards entertain you as they pass through the yard. You can stroll on the beach, surf or watch surfers or take a dip in the private pool to cool off. A great place to relax while nature entertains you."
