  • Perfection

"Five of us just returned from a week at Villa Montemeru. We couldn't have been happier with the house, which is even more beautiful than the pictures and description suggested. The layout and decor are thoughtful and stylish, the indoor/outdoor kitchen and living room are gorgeous, the beds are comfortable, and the views of the ocean, jungle, and sunsets to die for. Mariella was an excellent host, welcoming but discreet, and gave us excellent suggestions for local beaches, food shopping, and restaurants. Although we ate out a few times in Santa Teresa and Malpais, we really preferred long, relaxed evenings in the house, with Ray and Marlie, the two adorable ridgebacks. The region is beautiful, though the roads are sometimes rough and dusty. The house is situated high above the road and is therefore secluded and quiet, except for the wonderful noises of the jungle. One word of caution - the jungle and its wildlife are all around and very present, and if that doesn't interest you, this might not be the best area to stay in. All in all, the location, the house, and the welcome make Villa Montemeru paradise. I hope we'll be back soon."

  • Absolutely Amazing Beach front house

"This was my third trip to Costa Rica, and by far the best. This house is truly amazing. It is positioned in a secluded private location with gorgeous views. few minutes down from Santa Teresa and all the amenities. Yan is very accommodating and coordinated all our activities and recommended fabulous beach front restaurants. Melba kept a very clean house and is a sweetheart. They also have all night security at the house so you feel extremely safe. If you are looking for a relaxing, remote and beautiful location I would highly recommend the March House."

  • Paradise

"I have stayed in this house three times over 6 years. The first, my now husband and I fell in love. The second, we brought all our loved ones and had our wedding. And we just returned to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary. To say that it's special to us, is an understatement. But for the sake of this review, I will try and leave my obsession for this home aside. THE HOUSE: The house itself rests right on the beach. You will spend most of your time in the wade-in pool and you can hear the waves while you swim. The pool is the center of the home (you can see in the pictures)--each morning you will open the huge glass and wooden doors to the outside, connecting indoors directly to the outdoors. The grounds are landscaped impeccably. Inside, each of the suites could be their own stand alone living quarters. You have complete privacy, they're hugely spacious and they are romantic and grand. Each opens to the outside. And most importantly, they are all air conditioned (it's hot in Costa Rica!). When we didn't enjoy dinners outside, we would take advantage of the giant dining area and create massive spreads for everyone. After dinner, we would have cocktails at the tiki bar in the house and typically head back to the pool. The house is so customized. The wood comes from the owners teak farm and every detail has been taken into consideration--it just feels so special. LOCATION: Nothing is more than a 5 minute quad ride away, but you feel like you're totally secluded. You can go ziplining right up the road. We always go to the fishing boats to get fresh fish. And we love to stop in and visit friends at the Surf Camp--each time, our guests have taken surf lessons and loved it. You can get a board for the day for (something like) $10. You have tons of restaurants around you! DINING: Mal Pais has amazing food. Our favorite is Mary's. We literally ordered every item on their special board and weren't disappointed with a single dish. The sushi place is great, but the service is pretty lax. There's a new bakery that has amazing coffee and delicious breakfast. There's so many great restaurants on the beach--really you can slip into most places and just have aps and cocktails for very little money and just enjoy the beauty of this place. TIP: You have to have a quad/ 4-wheeler. They're not cheap and you don't want to run out of gas."

  • Nie besser gefaulenzt! :)
