"I can honestly say that this home was the most SPECTACULAR home we have ever rented through VRBO. the pictures really do not show how truly amazing this property is!
All four bedrooms are equally spectacular, balconies and hammocks with comfortable furniture to lounge in . The beds are comfortable and the open air with ceiling fans are all that is needed. You do not need air conditioning in this home.
The infinity pool overlooking the ocean is incredible. I never wanted to get out of it!
The sunken large kitchen is well appointed, and the outdoor living space is top notch, and also very comfortable.
Marley and Rey the resident dogs are so sweet and are never a bother. The owner Daniel is present only to care for the dogs and keep his beautiful landscaping watered. It truly is paradise.
The driveway is however very steep.....so be carefull if you've had a few too many cocktails in the pool! I do not recommend walking to the beach... Going down the drive is ok, it's the coming back up that is killer! We did have a very large beetle in our bathroom sink one morning....but with the openness of the house I expected a few critters, and we only had a few.
I hope to return to villa montmeru at another time. It truly was a vacation I will always remember!"

"My review will certainly not do this home justice you really need to see it to believe it. Everything about this home is incredible and it's so peaceful even my 12 year old son enjoyed every moment here. You really won't want to leave, the infinity pool is wonderful, you could sit in it all day long watching the howler monkeys who visited on a daily basis. The home is impeccable with the best decor. The location to Playa Hermosa was very close and even though we didn't want to leave the house ever, it was well worth the trip down the road. The local restaurant Dayka was terrific and so affordable, its a must try! Everything you would need is in Cobano which is just a short car ride away. Rolando the gardener was so nice, we enjoyed knowing there was someone around the property if we ever needed anything. The housekeeper was so efficient we hardly ever saw her. We can't forget to mention Flaco the grounds dog, so cute, he came for a visit everyday which we enjoyed. The only other venture we did was an afternoon trip to Santa Theresa and ate at Habeneros on the beach, stunning and delicious food! We can't wait to go back, this house is a gem and so are the owners. Thank you again for opening up your wonderful home, this made for a wonderful trip and a lifetime of memories!"

"My man and I stayed there for three days in April. How we loved this place and truly the best part of our Costa Rica trip! We did not want to leave and hope to return again one day to stay longer.
It is the most unique and wonderful place to stay. Every thing you could need: great, large always hot shower; kitchen where we made breakfast and the fish we caught for dinner one night, not to mention the most comfortable bed we experienced during our entire trip.
We had breakfast every morning out on the balcony. Beautiful beach only a few minutes away, along with zip lining and fishing very close by.
The owners are outstanding and the entire experience was wonderful. Highly recommend!"

"Beautiful bi-level villa w/pool and view of the ocean. First time we've been to Costa Rica and we don't speak the language, so Trey (he lives on the property) helped us out a great deal with finding activities we were interested in, including: zip-lining, paddle-boarding, snorkeling, boating, and finding an animal reserve. He also showed us around town and helped us rent an ATV for getting around. Tips for anyone interested: you need to rent either suv, truck, or jeep to reach destination due to the very rough dirt roads, a GPS will be very helpful since there are many unmarked roads, rent an ATV to get around town, on your way into town stop at a local grocer in St. Teresa to pick up food for house.. Don't lose money doing an exchange at the airport like I did! Just use ATM machine to get what cash you think you might need, and a lot of places will accept american money anyway. Not many people speak English, so it would be wise to brush up on useful Spanish words & phrases before travel."
