  • Beautiful Stay in Villa Mot Mot

"We recently spent a week in Manuel Antonio on the beautiful property of Tulemar. It is a very resort like atmosphere - pools, restaurant on site, private beach, shuttle drivers, personal concierge - with a Costa Rican twist. That "twist" would be the amazing monkeys, sloths, iguanas, etc that you can see just by hanging out on the property. We stayed in Villa Mot Mot and found it very beautiful. My husband and I, our two kids, and my 84 year old dad stayed in the villa. There are 2 queen beds and a sofa bed that has a pull out mattress for a separate person. That gave us all the room we needed. The balcony was huge with an amazing view of the ocean - plus, it is RIGHT ON the path that the white faced Capuchins like to take to go down the the beach. Several times were were lucky enough to see them come through the trees and play on the balcony for a bit before they moved on their way. We also came home one day to a sloth hanging off the tree just 5 feet from where we were standing. That was so awesome. There are lots of inclines and steps around the property - this Villa in particular is located down lots of little steps so my 84 year old dad really got to get some exercise. Once you get to the top however you can have a shuttle pick up and take you to the beach or up to the front gate of the property. Our concierge for the week was Alcione who worked SO HARD to make everything perfect for us. He checked in everyday, booked our tours, drove us to get our groceries the first day, took us to Quepos, and took our laundry to get done. The man was awesome. He made our stay at Tulemar so easy and comfortable - we really can't thank him enough."

  • Incredible views!!!!!

"We stayed with my sister and her family at this amazing house. We truly had the most memorable vacation. Every morning we were greeted by Howler, Squirrel, and white faced monkeys. The view of the ocean was spectacular and we were away from the crowds. The house was spotless everyday because of the housekeeper!!! Terry was always so helpful during the entire process of planning this trip!!! We are planning a trip for this December and while we like to go to different places, we are considering doing the same trip again. Make sure you take a look at the memory book-it is really fun to read about previous travelers experiences and write your own!!!"

  • Lovely privacy, pool, and great concierges!

"We were here for five days escaping from the snow in Boston. Sabrina, one of the concierges, helped us set up surfing lessons for two 20 year olds and for our 8 year old kids. They had a great two hours learning with Rogelio. Then we had a tour of the national park on the next day--I would only suggest in the future that you try to get there as soon as the park opens in the morning--it was pretty busy and then very hot. Our guide Jason was great, we enjoyed the wildlife spotting and a swim at the beach to wrap it up. Yes, the monkeys did steal some of our food. Smart little dudes. The third day we went ziplining--also set up by Sabrina. Great tour and lots of fun. Highly recommended for anyone not afraid of heights (one of the kids backed out at the last minute and he spent the two hours getting a tour of the butterfly garden and feeding the basilisk lizard. He was fine). We spent the other two days just wandering the beaches--the main one that is down the hill and also the one near Shana Resort. I think it is called Biesatz or something. The house has lots of info on where to go, what to see and restaurants to go to. The other concierge Geralyn helped us get taxis and reservations at the various places for lunch and dinner. Barba Roja was our favorite. We relied on taxis for the most part and the bus. The house is located downhill from most of the restaurants so we walked up and taxied down. It is uphill from the beach and we usually walked down and then took the bus back up and then walked downhill from the bus stop. What a wonderful place--and the small house pool was awesome--perfect temperature and size for an afternoon cool down. Highly recommended."
