The best villa in the resort
"When we checked in the concierge at the front desk said "Oh! You have the best villa at the resort". We thought, he probably says that to everybody. That was before we opened the front door and stepped inside. It was fully air conditioned and that day it was extremely hot and humid. It was so welcoming. There was even an ice maker! Oh happy day! The owner had thought of everything. The interior inside was so tastefully decorated and colorful. No sooner were we there and 15 minutes later a large family of spider monkeys came to check us out on the balcony. Everyday there were monkeys, always the curious Capuchins, and one morning we were serenaded by the howler monkeys on a tree next to the villa. If you hear noises at night it's the monkeys on the roof. There was an abundance of wildlife at this resort and our concierge Jonathan was extremely friendly and helpful. Always a phone call away if we needed anything. Our 13 year old enjoyed the pools, but mostly the boogey board down at the private beach. We took a zipline tour through Canopy Safari one day in the pouring rain, but it was warm. The next day we headed to Manuel Antonio National Park and took a guided tour. We saw lots of sloths and interesting insects/snakes, but it's a very touristy place on the beach so we decided to go back to Tulemar and use our own private beach. We ate at several restaurants and loved Aqua Azul and if you visit please say hi to Caesar who owns the Wagon Wheel (they make wood fired pizzas there). Everyone in the area is super friendly and we definitely would recommend Villa Mot Mot and Tulemar Resort as a prime destination in Costa Rica."

"This villa was an awesome place to stay in Manuel Antonio. It is centrally located and the views are fabulous. We stayed here for my 50th birthday, and I needed a place with at least 10 rooms. This villa was perfect for the occasion. All rooms have king-size beds and almost every room has its own bathroom. There is a kitchen for the main house and separate kitchens for the 3 two bedroom apartments below the main house. There is one room on the main level which worked out perfectly for my mother who has some difficulties with stairs. With a total of 17 people, everyone was extremely comfortable and had plenty of space.
The villa sits on top of a hill near the Hotel Mariposa. There are amazing views of Manuel Antonio National Park and the ocean from every floor. There is a large outdoor table area for dining which we used every day. There is a nice pool for when we did not want to walk down to the ocean, which was a 20 minute walk (or 5 minutes by taxi). We were also visited almost daily by the monkeys.
Laurent, the owner, was incredibly helpful. He arranged transport from San Jose for a number of my guests. He also helped to set up the activities we participated in (Catamaran Cruise, Zip-Lining, Mangrove Tour). Finally, he helped us order groceries for delivery from the local supermarket. Laurent was always around to help, but at the same time, he gave us our privacy and was never intrusive.
All in all, I would highly recommend this villa, especially for those with a large group. We had a fantastic week in Manuel Antonio and this villa was central to our experience."

"Loved this place. Super comfortable house with all of the amenities and a great feel. Even nicer than the photos. Sitting areas abound, tastefully decorated, all bathrooms are ensuite, little details provided (laundry soap, coffee, tea and even bug spray - which by the way wasn't necessary in the dry season), kitchen super usable and well supplied (yes, as others have commented, the dishes are high (we saw this in other houses in Costa Rica too) but it allows a window at the sink with great views of the monkeys in the trees, we just put our dishes in the pantry to make it easier - plus the maid had set the table so many of the dishes were already down anyway). The really great thing about this place, aside from it being a great house with a nice refreshing pool, is that you see more animals while relaxing at home than we did at the Manuel Antonio Park and Rainmaker Park! Titis (endangered squirrel monkeys) came by (20-40 of them), even several babies clinging to their mommas, every morning and many evenings, we also had visits from capuchin monkeys, coatimundis, iguanas, motmots, and other beautiful birds. This helped make our trip spectacular. Jonathan, from the property management company, was awesome and very helpful when we needed it. We had a couple of hiccups and he handled them graciously and quickly. He also booked excursions for us at the same price as booking yourself yet we in no way felt pressured to book through him. The information was simply there with his phone number - call if you need his services, or not. Great place!"

"We loved Casa Del Mar. Beautifully decorated with a fully equipped kitchen....so much attention to detail throughout the entire Villa. Fresh cut flowers and wonderful staff. You can tell that the owners want their guests to feel like they are in a place where they could stay forever. The rest of the property is amazing as well."
