  • Perfect Location

"Just got back from a 2 night stay in this Condo. Was staying in another condo in the same complex for 5 days prior which was nicer/larger but also more expensive. Can't beat the amazing views and great location of this condo. This is perfect place if you don't want to get a rental car and want to be near beautiful beaches and amazing restaurants and bars. The apartment itself is a little outdated and could. Would be great if there were a couple beach towels and a few others items for guests. The bathroom also could use a bit of a scrub down. Overall I was super happy with the space for the cost! Marc was very responsive and helpful. Will definitely look to stay here again when I come back"

  • Stunning views

"Had a great time in this property at the start of green season. We did have some unbelievable thunderstorms (according to the caretaker, Bismark, the worst he's heard in 40 years), but everything was very nice and exactly as described, so read carefully. Some notes: - the view is gorgeous--this is what sold me on the property and we weren't disappointed in the least. As a bonus, we were treated to daily sightings of toucans and capuchin monkeys. They literally play in the trees & garden between the house and the road. There's lots of other wildlife. You'll wake up to the howler monkeys for sure. - there are a lot of steps to climb up & down. There's a pulley system to help with luggage, but you'll be going up & down steps a lot. - when in doubt, ask. Bismark's entire family is VERY helpful. We had a few bad sunburns; we able to help ourselves to some aloe growing in the garden and were given some aloe-based creme. It's so nice having someone nearby to keep in eye on things and to answer questions. - the beaches are nice--Playa Biesanz is more protected (no riptides) if you have smaller children. We actually drove to the entrance way and parked on the road--it's all up-hill coming back and we wanted the kids to have energy for other stuff. - the balconies banisters are somewhat low and the floor boards are spaced kind of far apart. It's nice but something you might want to consider with kids. - Since we did arrive in green season, it's worth mentioning that although it was somewhat hot, we didn't have any issues with bugs or mosquitoes or anything. There were some gnats in the bathroom sink each morning for whatever reason, but we didn't have any issues with biting insects. We had fans that worked well (we moved the big one downstairs to the 2nd bedroom where the kids slept; that solved that problem). - the kitchen was fine and exactly. The refrigerator/freezer worked well. There's no oven, but I honestly don't want to start up an oven when I'm vacationing in the summer in the tropics. There were dishes and pots & pans, toaster, coffee maker, etc. and those all worked fine. The outdoor shower was really good to clean up after a day at the beach. Also--it's hard not to look at the other non-5 star review... but in my opinion you can't compare properties in Manuel Antonio to Arenal any more than you can compare a mountain lodge in Colorado to a beach house in Hawaii."

  • Nice!

"I agree with all the wonderful reviews listed here! So I won't repeat them. But I want to add a note about the owner, John, who we booked directly with. John was efficient and answered every email very quickly. He helped with all our questions and even offered us to call him if we wanted to chat about Costa Rica. Seemed like such a friendly guy! But here is what happened: A few days before arriving at Villa Titi I had an accident on a river rafting trip in another Costa rican town, that required surgery. So we had to quickly cancel several reservations and re-book our flights home. When I emailed John (from Manuel Antonio) about my accident he quickly emailed me back that he would refund our last night stay (a night we couldn't use because of our new flights home). I thought this offer was exceptional. I understand that he must have rules about refunds and usually you must cancel a few weeks ahead of time to get a refund, but John didn't seem to hesitate to help us out. Our budget is empty because of the hospital bills and having to buy new flights, so his offer was very much appreciated. If you rent at Villa Tito you are renting from someone who is honest, fair, and kind. Thank you John!!"
