  • The Wild Life is Amazing

"Since this was our first time visiting Costa Rica we weren't sure what to expect but as soon as we stepped into Casa Del Mar we knew this would be our favorite vacation house. Not only is the casita perfect for us as a couple, there would have been plenty of space for another couple too. The home was furnished beautifully and the views of the ocean were perfect. From jungle strolls to the perfect private beach...this home is a winner and we'll definitely be back!"

  • DINA WAS WORTH THE PRICE!

"We just returned from Villa Grande and it was a vacation of a lifetime. We loved the house and most of all we loved Dina who planned everything for us - she went so far above and beyond to plan and provide advice. She was always available if we needed anything. Thanks Dina and we can't wait to return to Costa Rica! Pura Vida!"

  • Costa Rican Paradise

"Our stay at the house in Las Palmas was nothing less than amazing. The accommodations were great, house was spacious and our group was very comfortable staying there during our stay. With it being remote, it really gave you the sense that you were somewhere else and allowed for us to truly disconnect from our busy lives back at home. Pete, the owner, was very helpful providing tips and advice leading up to the trip. And Bert and Alita, the caretakers, were amazing and SO helpful. Definitely a great stay and would return in a heartbeat! In addition, staying in the Manuel Antonio/Quepos area gave a truly unique and local experience. After visiting Jaco, we were all very happy that we chose the Quepos area and have walked away with a better sense of the Costa Rican culture! If you're looking for a great stay with amazing accommodations and an overall amazing trip, I would recommend staying here at Las Palmas. You won't be disappointed!"

  • Nice home at nice price

"This villa, set at the end of a street, provides privacy in the heart of Manuel Antonio, yet there is easy access to the beach, park, tour operators, stores, and restaurants. There is a panoramic, sweeping view of a pristine valley, with a vista of mountains and sea beyond, where we watched beautiful sunrises every morning while sipping coffee and bird watching. In the neighborhood we saw a squirrel monkey, a sloth, and a rare duck (gray billed wood rail), iguanas, and many lovely birds. The private pool was a great place to unwind after the beach or the other exciting activities we did in the area (zip lining, white water rafting, surfing and paddle boarding, the Nat Park). While the home isn't luxurious, it has a nice kitchen, there is a nice view from inside, and there are verandas on 3 sides for nice light and bird watching. The home is safe, gated, and kept up by the caretaker, Elaudio, a very gentle, sweet man who is friendly and kind, and helpful without ever being intrusive. It is a roomy home where your family can enjoy their time together with privacy and space in a non-fussy atmosphere at a reasonable price. We recommend arriving during daylight hours, as the road leading to the house is daunting at night, with a steep drop that is not nearly as frightening in the daylight. There is a store just a .5k walk away, and you can catch the bus into town at the turn off to the little road, but you'll appreciate having a car if you stay here. My spouse and I are both over 55 but fit and enjoyed walking down the lane daily, but if you older or have mobility issues, it could pose a problem."
