"The views from this house are incredible. It is well worth the money to stay here. Every morning we would see Toucan birds flying around the trees as well as many other colorful birds. We also had visits from the squirrel monkeys, white-faced, and holler monkeys. The pool was also one of our favorite places to relax in."Guest: Obe H. "We booked the villa for a birthday destination and had all the information needed to prepare for the trip. Nancy and Steve are great at answering any questions not already listed on their FAQ pages. Sabrina, the concierge with CRneeds, was superb! She arranged our pick up from the airport and was in constant communication via email after the reservation was made. She met us at Villa ls Vista and gave us the tour of the two bedroom spacious home. She was very thorough and answered any questions we had. She was not rushed and was very pleasant as she explained about the villa, life in Costa Rica, as she showed us around the villa situated above the ocean with spectacular views from both the downstairs and upstairs balcony. The villa itself is Pura Vida! If you don't know what that means, come to Costa Rica and experience it. Tile floors throughout, rich native wood furniture, spacious bathrooms and any amenity you would need for your stay is provided. The pool gives you cool relaxation among the tropical flowers and towering ficus. Villa la Vista is very secure and private. We felt safe with the extra security measures the owners have installed. They have also made sure you feel like Villa la Vista is your home in paradise. Most everything from artwork to needful things can be found locally in the shops. I fell in love with the wooden coaster set and easily found one of my own for very little cost. Feel free to buy local made and more than likely you will see them making it for you on the spot! The walk to the beach is fine walking down but walking back up is moderate to difficult. Take your time, take rest stops at your own pace and wear shoes suitable for steep gravel/muddy terrain. There is plenty of shade, sand, sun, and surf once you get to the beach. House and grounds keepers are wonderful and keep the villa in pristine shape for you. Ask Sabrina and you might just get a home cooked Tico meal if you would like. She can recommend anything of your liking and arrange any tour you or your family might enjoy. There is WiFi provided at Villa la Vista, games, books, and TV/cable to occupy if you are indoors during a storm (we stayed during the start of rainy season and it rained/stormed every day but the sun did share the sky for most of the day) but don't let those amenities keep you from the Costa Rican experience. Book your Pura Vida vacation today!"Guest: SalleySue Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: September 10, 2014View listing
"Our stay at the house in Las Palmas was nothing less than amazing. The accommodations were great, house was spacious and our group was very comfortable staying there during our stay. With it being remote, it really gave you the sense that you were somewhere else and allowed for us to truly disconnect from our busy lives back at home. Pete, the owner, was very helpful providing tips and advice leading up to the trip. And Bert and Alita, the caretakers, were amazing and SO helpful. Definitely a great stay and would return in a heartbeat! In addition, staying in the Manuel Antonio/Quepos area gave a truly unique and local experience. After visiting Jaco, we were all very happy that we chose the Quepos area and have walked away with a better sense of the Costa Rican culture! If you're looking for a great stay with amazing accommodations and an overall amazing trip, I would recommend staying here at Las Palmas. You won't be disappointed!"Guest: Jonny Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: May 21, 2014View listing
"Stunning architecture, simple but functional interior design, breathtaking views of coast and sunset. Hammocks on the porch, nice size jacuzzi, gas grill, outdoor dining perfectly located on a hilltop with a constant nice breeze and surrounding wildlife. Jean, the owner, did not only make sure we had all we needed and expected but was also a great resource for local tours and events. We were very happy with our accomodation and will likely be back in the near future. PS: ..and YES, you can hear some wildlife around the house, even at night because it is so quiet but that is one of the reasons we chose Manuel Antonio and not a desert. Thanks Jean!!"Guest: Alex D.
