  • Nice home at nice price

"This villa, set at the end of a street, provides privacy in the heart of Manuel Antonio, yet there is easy access to the beach, park, tour operators, stores, and restaurants. There is a panoramic, sweeping view of a pristine valley, with a vista of mountains and sea beyond, where we watched beautiful sunrises every morning while sipping coffee and bird watching. In the neighborhood we saw a squirrel monkey, a sloth, and a rare duck (gray billed wood rail), iguanas, and many lovely birds. The private pool was a great place to unwind after the beach or the other exciting activities we did in the area (zip lining, white water rafting, surfing and paddle boarding, the Nat Park). While the home isn't luxurious, it has a nice kitchen, there is a nice view from inside, and there are verandas on 3 sides for nice light and bird watching. The home is safe, gated, and kept up by the caretaker, Elaudio, a very gentle, sweet man who is friendly and kind, and helpful without ever being intrusive. It is a roomy home where your family can enjoy their time together with privacy and space in a non-fussy atmosphere at a reasonable price. We recommend arriving during daylight hours, as the road leading to the house is daunting at night, with a steep drop that is not nearly as frightening in the daylight. There is a store just a .5k walk away, and you can catch the bus into town at the turn off to the little road, but you'll appreciate having a car if you stay here. My spouse and I are both over 55 but fit and enjoyed walking down the lane daily, but if you older or have mobility issues, it could pose a problem."

  • Breathtaking! Loved the little details!

"Very beautiful views! Every which way you look your in paradise. The ocean view, the rain forest view, animal life all around! A tropical paradise. Mary and Lee, (owners), put so much in to the little details that make your stay here so comfortable. The lighting, the hammocks, the tree house sun deck, hot tub overlooking the jungle! I'm serious when I say you are on top of the world here! There are so many ways to relax, from a refreshing splash, a hammock nap, sun deck tanning, or hot tub jet snooze at night. Mary was the perfect host as well. She can lead you finding any activities or restaurants that you may want to do. Or she will leave you alone if that's what you want. She is the sweetest woman and is very knowledgeable about the area. My wife and I vacation quite a bit and our stay at Casa Aguilita was certainly our top experience together. Be you young and looking for adventure, or just looking for quiet tranquility, this place is a perfect fit. Thank you Mary for a perfect vacation!!!"

  • Pura Vida 4

"Wow! What an amazing vacation and what an amazing house! My 3 grown children and I have fallen in love with this beautiful house and all of the wonderful places and things that we were able to experience while staying there. It is truly like staying in your own luxury resort. The pictures are impressive but don't begin to show how incredible this house is and how beautiful the surroundings are. I experienced the most breath taking sunset I have ever seen while sitting by the pool. It was so nice to be able to experience the small town of Quepos as well as the many beaches, shops and restaurants in Manuel Antonio. The Canopy Safari Zip Line was a blast and a big highlight of our trip. The hike in Manuel Antonio National Park was an amazing experience. We saw sloths, monkeys, Iguanas and stopped at several beautiful beaches along the way. We ate at so many wonderful restaurants and were so impressed by how friendly and welcoming people were everywhere we went. We were also relieved to know that we could do just fine with "no habla espanol"! We are very grateful for the opportunity to spend a week at Casa Tranquila and made memories there that we will cherish for a lifetime. We have vowed to return soon to experience all of the things we couldn't squeeze into the week!"

  • Unforgettable 2 week Trip

"We wanted to commend the owner and the staff for the superior level of service my family received at Casa Carolina. It was such an amazing experience all the way around. Lisbeth, and Saul are a real treasure. Willie's good personality and close relationship with both Lisbeth & Saul tie the whole team together well. Lisbeth was just the sweetest and her cooking was delicious. Saul....the groundskeeper was a great cook as well and was just so cool. They were always on top of things and very hard workers. All three went above and beyond ensuring our every need was attended to. They all made us feel so comfortable, and it was as if they were a part of our family. The house was beautiful/the view/ and just the experience was just out of this world. We can not thank these great group of hard workers enough. Great management, great service, and the housekeeping made our trip what it was. Hope we can come back soon. Thank you."
