"We stayed in Casa Sandra for four days; a family of 5(3 teenagers). We really enjoyed our stay in Casa Sandra. It was in the middle of our roundtrip in Costa Rica and because of the nice decorations, the spacious rooms, relaxing sofa’s and super balcony's we felt being at home immediatly. We loved that the supermarket was very close and with all necessary groceries like good fresh fish and beef. The kitchen was very well equiped to make a fine meal, dining in the spacious room with my family was great, The kids connected their Iphones to the great stereo in order to cheer up dinner ;-)! In the early morning the monkeys surprised us on the balcony playing with the water of the pool. The park of Manuel Antonio is awesome(we went their twice), we took the bus, 3 minute walk and very cheap (running frequently). We did’nt use our car at all. Using the washingmachine and dryer was a plus. We really recommed Casa Sandra. Hazel gave us a warm welcome upon arrival."Guest: Wil P. "I agree with all the wonderful reviews listed here! So I won't repeat them. But I want to add a note about the owner, John, who we booked directly with. John was efficient and answered every email very quickly. He helped with all our questions and even offered us to call him if we wanted to chat about Costa Rica. Seemed like such a friendly guy! But here is what happened: A few days before arriving at Villa Titi I had an accident on a river rafting trip in another Costa rican town, that required surgery. So we had to quickly cancel several reservations and re-book our flights home. When I emailed John (from Manuel Antonio) about my accident he quickly emailed me back that he would refund our last night stay (a night we couldn't use because of our new flights home). I thought this offer was exceptional. I understand that he must have rules about refunds and usually you must cancel a few weeks ahead of time to get a refund, but John didn't seem to hesitate to help us out. Our budget is empty because of the hospital bills and having to buy new flights, so his offer was very much appreciated. If you rent at Villa Tito you are renting from someone who is honest, fair, and kind. Thank you John!!"Guest: Marijke Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 10, 2014View listing
"My husband and I wanted to create a holiday for ourselves, our three adult children and their spouses. Casa Alta was the absolutely perfect choice. The bedrooms are actually private suites, allowing everyone to have their personal space. The kitchen, pool, outdoor dining area and living room were the ideal areas to gather. Olivier and Luz were excellent to deal with and quick to respond to any concerns. The house is warm, comfortable and spacious. Olivier said that we wouldn't need a cars and we didn't! Restaurants and grocery stores are minutes away by foot. It really is the perfect place to call home for a group. Five stars for sure!"Guest: Virginia L. "We were a family of 8 travelling from Canada... 4 daughters aged 12 to 23, son-in-law and boyfriend, plus my wife and I. Everything about the trip was fantastic. The listing was not accurate....because the pictures don't do it justice! Unbelievable size, layout, comfort, etc. and what a view. The monkeys came by most days and the weather was perfect. Absolutely perfect. We were very comfortable with 8 people ...and there was room for more. Alex is excellent in his organizing of all our activities. We tried the horse back riding, repelling, national park tour and catamaran sail. All highly recommended. He organizes for pick up and drop off at the front door. Local restaurants were excellent too. Although cab drivers told us the walk to the beach was either "too long or too dangerous (due to traffic)", we walked it every day without problem. It was a great way to get some exercise after spending a day at the beach. Another thing Alex did was organize an on-site meal provided by a local chef (Kukula?). It was one of the best meals we have ever had, and we do a lot of travelling. We didn't rent a car, as the local grocery store was within walking distance, as were the restaurants, and we didn't mind the 20 minute walk to the beach. We flew to San Jose, and Alex organized the 2 1/2 trip for pick up and drop off at the end of the stay. The house was cleaned every day (we didn't realize that), and there are laundry facilities on site. We definitely over-packed. This is a flip flop and short/swim suit vacation. We didn't need to wear a sweater at any time during our stay. We will go back and I recommend this for families, couples, etc. The only caution I would have is for those with small children. The building code is no where near the restrictions that we have in Canada, and as such, the area around the main floor, infinity pool and stairs may be a safety hazard for small children. For adults, it adds to the beauty of this spectacular place! A+++++ and a 12 on a 1-10 scale. Truly spectatular."Guest: fish007 Date of Stay: February 2014 Review Submitted: February 26, 2014View listing
