"Our family, including 2 teen girls and my mother, enjoyed our week at this beautiful secluded air-conditioned rental home up in the hills of Costa Rica. A 4x4 is a MUST to get up the dirt/rocky hills, but we all thought that was part of the adventure. If you like to be right in the middle of all the action, then this is probably not for you, but my family loved it. We all enjoyed adventures each day in nearby Quepos/Manuel Antonio and then returned for a swim in the pool to watch the sunset before heading out again for dinner or making dinner at the house. It is at least a 15 minute trip to get to Quepos and about 5 minutes of it is on a dirt road through African Palm Trees. The home is located in a gated area, but you literally can't see another home from it. It has beautiful views and off to the far south, you can see the Pacific Ocean in the distance. The people that manage the home live nearby and were very helpful in getting us to the home and helping us locate good restaurants. As with all homes, there were a few very minor things that the owner needs to fix, but none of it was really a big deal. (The dishwasher ran loudly, there were some scratchy animal noises in the vents, and the wood around the pool needs to be replaced.) The home is very clean and there is plenty of space for everyone to enjoy themselves. Also, the owner, was very helpful and easy to work with via phone/email prior to our visit. We would definitely stay again. We heard about a good adventure even further up the mountain that we didn't get to try, but hear is good."

"My wife and I and another couple stayed at this house for 8 nights. We could not have been happier. It is truly an amazing house in an incredible area. We had everything we needed right around the corner. Donna the owner is a wonderful host. We had some possible trouble with the volcano near the airport flying out and Donna was so nice to work with us if we needed had something happened. Fortunately nothing did but it was nice to know she was willing to try and help in any way she could. We did not have a car and there was no need for one. The bus(60 cents) is safe and very convenient or cabs for 5 dollars anywhere you would want to go are also right there. Its not on the list that is provided by the concierge but I suggest using costa rica tropical adventures for your adventures if you are staying at the house. http://www.manuelantoniorafting.com.These guys are amazing and speak very good english. They also live a few houses down from this house so they help you in any way they can. We did two days of adventures with them and they also ended up taking us out salsa dancing one night and to a locals place for dinner one night at no charge just because they are good people. They also took us deep into the jungle to do a natural hot spring while eating lunch with a local family who cultivated everything they cooked for us. It ended up being the best meal we had there. The internet is also very good in the house just in case you wanted to use it. Cant say enough good things about this place and we will be returning to this house when we go back."

"Great family vacation around fathers 85th birthday. Ten of us were easily accommodated in this spacious beautifully designed home. We arranged for a cook to prepare breakfast and dinner. Hiro the chef received high marks from all of us including my Cordon Blue Paris trained sister and her husband who for over ten years owned a haute cuisine French restaurant on the Monterey Peninsula. Ricky the property manager was always there to provide tour, restaurant and general recommendations. The house was cleaned top to bottom everyday and kept in immaculate condition. I would highly recommend Casa Samba to anyone traveling to Manuel Antonio."

"We stayed at this GORGEOUS home for a week and what a pleasure it was !!!!!! What a Tropical Destination of choice !
The photos do NOT do justice for the house and location ! We saw a wide variety of birds and animals and a troop of monkeys coming every afternoon to the house ....... Omg!!!! I was in PARADISE!!
I will just say it was just perfect!
Thank you Ken for helping us organize our trip . My teenage boys had a awesome time as well ! We did a zip line very very organized and very good food.
And there's Jose the grounds keeper what a awesome man he is ! He took us on a mangrove tour that was amazing ! After that we ended up eating lunch in a Costa Rican home/farm with animals GALOR ! WOW!!!

And then the day before we left we went on Kens boat with 4 crow members ... I really don't know what to say about this experience ......
