  • AMAZING FOR THE FOURTH TIME!

"We recently returned from our fourth stay at Casa Mono Congo and it never fails to be magical. The location is perfect for visiting Manuel Antonio National Park as well as many fine dining establishments in the area. However, nothing can compare to the actual experience at the house itself. On our first evening, we were visited by about twenty or thirty titi monkeys, many with babies. They swung through the trees and played on the roof and patio right next to us. As the sun began to set, a group of about fifteen howler monkeys moved into the trees right above the pool and checked us out until dark. The following day we were visited by a sloth and a band of capuchin monkeys. They put on a show for us and three of them played on the balcony above the pool for about tweny minutes. The following days were more of the same. The house itself is absolutely perfect for any group or family. It has three floors, four air-conditioned bedrooms and five full baths. The top floor has a wet bar with a beautiful view of the ocean and rain forest. It also has all of the modern conveniences while still maintaining a very eco-friendly environment. Terry and Pete are great hosts and they always go the extra mile to be sure everything you could need for a perfect vacation is provided. The house manager Mikol is the absolute best we've ever seen. He can recommend great restaurants, tours and out of the way local spots as well. He is extremely professional and immediately responsive to any questions or requests. For larger groups, they also own the house below, Casa Mono Titi, which is beautifully furnished with it's own pool and offers additional privacy as well. If you are visiting the Manuel Antonio area, you can't get a better location to enjoy the true Costa Rica experience than Casa Mono Congo. We will be back for a fifth visit as soon as possible."

  • This is Paradise

"My girlfriend and I have been here nearly one month and it is fabulous. The location is perfect for going into town or the beach. Easy, inexpensive, reliable bus transportation or a quick cab ride. The monkeys have visited, the birds are very vocal and we have an iguana who has taken permanent residence on the patio roof..the amenities are perfect. The heated, locked security closet is a real perk and having a washer and dryer makes the visit even more stress free. The Hotel California behind the complex offers amazing sunsets, happy hour specials, and wonderful food. As two women traveling alone we couldn't feel more safe and secure. Lance and Letty are great people as well as awesome musicians...they rock it every Saturday in Quepos...I did a lot of research on choosing a place to stay for an extended period and I know I got the best value..Pura Vida!"

  • Multigenerational trip

"Casa Anjali is an amazing property, just as described, very high end and comfortable. The pool was a great place to relax after a day at the beach or a hike in the park. My only complaint would be the long steep driveway after a rain storm, the owner should have a John Deere "gator" type vehicle on site to help taxi people up and down driveway. My 75 year old mother in-law had a hard time getting up driveway when it was nice. We had amazing food, I recommend cafe Milagrow for breakfast a 10 minute walk as well as a sunset dinner at Ronny's place, my first day shopping the owner told me to buy sausage in Quepos rather then at supermarket, great advice. We also found La Cubanita a small out of the way local place near the soccer field in Quepos. We hired chef Chris for 2 nights, I would only hire chef for 1 night, it was great but tooo much food and I love to eat. Irecommend his grilled plantains with ice cream for desert. As far as tours go the kids ages 10- 16 loved Chino and Barti from Barrabas Surf Lessons near Mary's rentals under the Quicksilver tent at MA beach. We also did Titi Canapy tour as well as the Saverge rafting trip. We also did the Ocean King catamaran out of Quepos. A great house nada great vacation. Looking forward to coming back."

  • Perfect Get-A-Way!!!

"Wow . . .I just returned from a stay at this villa. I had a wonderful and relaxing visit and am already scheming about how to get back again!! To start off with, I was pleasantly surprised because the place is actually nicer than the pictures as all the decor has been updated recently and looks brand new!! The view from the front porch/balcony is amazing. (I can't say enough about this!!!) The view alone made this place worth it for me!! (And we did see monkeys in the treetops right down from our balcony!!) Luckily, everything else was nice too. The kitchen was equipped with all the necessities. And if you don't want to cook there are plenty of restaurants within close walking distance---the location is great. (We ate at Cafe Azul, Barba Roja, Sanchos, and Cafe Milagro -- all were only a few steps away and each was excellent!!) Another big plus is that the public bus stop is super close and makes getting to the beach a breeze (only about 50 cents each way!) (It is only a short bus ride-- you can walk down in about 20 minutes, but in the heat I felt like it was 50 cents well spent!!) The beach inside the National Park is one of the prettiest in all of Costa Rica. Well worth the trip! There is also Wi Fi--the signal is strongest on the balcony--which came in very handy!! You should know that there are actually two units within this listing. The actual price depends on if you choose to have just one bedroom or two---and if one--if you want it with or without the kitchen, etc. There are a lot more helpful details about this with all the updated pricing info on the owner's website: http://www.costaricabeachvilla.com I received quick and very helpful responses to all of my inquires via Paul. And the owner has an onsite manager, Dave, who is very helpful once you arrive. I would not hesitate to recommend this to friends and family. If you are looking for a clean and homey feeling place to stay with a great view, this is it. (I should add that I had a car but left it parked during my stay (easier to walk or take the bus). The car remained safe in the parking area in front of the on-site restaurant.)"
