  • Best family vacation ever!!!!

"Believe all the great comments that you read about Tulemar! My family and I booked a week at a bungalow in the Tulemar resort through our new best friend Chris, our personal concierge for our stay. From the day we booked our bungalow until we left for the airport on our last day, Chris and the team at Tulemar made us feel like royalty. Chris made the planning process for the trip a pleasure by helping us figure out the best activities to participate in (we highly recommend the zip lining and sunset cruise) as well as the best way to get to and from the resort (he arranged for a driver to pick us up and also for local transportation while we were there). When we arrived at the resort we were amazed at the natural beauty, especially the wildlife and AMAZING sunsets over the Pacific Ocean every night. The private beach was truly breathtaking and even though the resort was booked, it was far from crowded. We took advantage of the complimentary boogie boards and kayaks and also highly recommend dining at the beach side restaurant. The facilities are truly amazing including the three pools available for families. Our 8 year old kept us busy from sun up till sun down and sitting pool side with a few drinks watching the sunset while she swam was a great way to end the day. Everyone at Tulemar and in Manuel Antonio / Quepos area were very welcoming and made us feel at home. Very safe, very clean, great food, amazing sightseeing, friendly people made this a real once in a lifetime experience. I travel internationally frequently and Chris and the Tulemar team have made Costa Rica and Tulemar our new #1 destination. We are already planning our return trip with friends and family!!! Thanks Chris for making our vacation truly amazing!!! PURA VIDA!"

  • Cannot go wrong with this choice in manuel antonio

"We rented both levels of Villa Titi for 3 nights while we were in Manuel Antonio, and loved it - it is hard to go wrong as there are many things that will make this a great spot while in MA. 1. People: Everyone associated with Villa Titi are warm, responsive and helpful. Prior to arriving, John (the owner) was very helpful over the phone and email. The staff on location (remember this is a villa within a hotel) were helpful, and most importantly John's friend Rosa, who made us feel at home and less of a tourist - She spoke to us at least 2-3 times on the phone, advised us on what buses to take, what activities might be appropriate with kids, how to avoid getting ripped off as tourist, and even arranged our transport to San Jose with a wonderful car and driver - she is an excellent resource who makes you feel at home. 2. The Environment : Villa Titi is located in the Hotel Eclipse, which is a collection of villas on a cliff surrounded by lush greenery - there are trees, flowers and wildlife all around. You end up getting the best of both worlds - you own private villa surrounded by nature, yet creature comforts like a swimming pool or a hotel bar or laundry are a few steps away. We saw two types of monkeys, large garden lizards, and butterflies and birds - more animals than you will see at the national park. 3. The Location :You will not find a better location in MA - the hotel entrance is on the main road from Quepos to Manuel Antonio national park, and there is a bus stop just outside the hotel - the bus will take you to the Manuel Antonio beaches, the national park, and also Quepos and the supermarkets. You can also walk to all the other major hotels and restaurants ... they are all walking distance. For little kids, there is a mini butterfly garden about 200 meters (opposite the Si Co Mo No hotel) - you really dont need your own transport to get around. 4. Things you should be prepared for: a) Villa Titi is beautiful but its not luxury - Its a charming home with all amenities (kitchen+utensils, bed, A/C, open space, fast WiFi) but don't expect the four seasons - the bathroom tiles are an older design, and the sinks might be smaller than your fancy resort, but after about 10 minutes you dont notice it, and settle right in b) Manuel Antonio is expensive - Expect New York prices everywhere, and that everything is built for tourists c) Villa Titi has stairs - You are on a cliff so be prepared to walk up and down a fair bit"

  • Excellent long weekend at Condo Del Mar

"From the moment of arrival, we were more than satisfied with this condo. Walking distance to a beautiful beach, walking distance to amenities (for people inclined to get some exercise while on vacation) and walking distance to multiple restaurants makes this a great choice for either a group or a family. If however, one wishes to stay home and enjoy the onsite restaurant or pool, this too was a possibility. A car would be helpful for a group with either young children or seniors. The condo itself is beautiful. The owners are extremely helpful prior to arrival and provide excellent information for the local area. The concierge willie was available if need be, although we didn't have to use his services. I highly recommend this rental and would definitely return. Thanks again. Sincerely, Steve"
