"The Light of Dawn is everything and more of what we had expected. The pictures do not do justice! From the hospitality of Pete and Deborah, to the amazing views of the rainforest, to the absolute delicious and outstanding meals prepared from Edgar (along with his "surprises"), to the sweetness of Clara, and to the mornings of waking up to the howling monkeys, we are already desperately wanting to return. This was the most perfect honeymoon! We were able to have our private tours on the property, two days of excursions where we chose Zip-lining and Horseback riding. Although September is considered a winter month, we certainly lucked out with our tours as they ended up being private with only us two as reservations! Excursions were done in the morning, so upon returning home, we were able to relax to electrifying thunder and lightning storms. For the last two nights of our honeymoon, we chose to stay at the beach. The hotel was a stylish boutique hotel with friendly staff members. The area was nice too as we were able to experience more of the "town" culture of the Manuel Antonio Area. Not was our house stocked with snacks, beverages and goodies, but the same treats came along for our hotel stay at the beach! Pete, Deborah, Edgar and Clara were so wonderful in taking good care of us, we hope they have as great of a memory of us as we do them! xoxo, we hope to see you soon, Kristy and Jim"Guest: Kristy C. "We stayed for a week at the "Jungle House": 5 adults, two teens and an 11 and 8 year old. The pool was great- kids and adults loved the slide! (Although I do recommend that you use an old bathing suit because the slide can cause a little damage to your suit...we had a blast and didn't care ultimately!) The wildlife on the property was fabulous. On the second day there a large group of titi monkeys came to visit us and were very comfortable and playful on one of the trees just above us (we took a million pictures of course!), there was a sloth in one of the trees just across the dirt road from the house, and we saw tons of beautiful birds throughout our stay and even bats at night! We loved sitting out on the back porch and enjoyed our coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening watching the wildlife and the view of the mountain and jungle forest was spectacular at all times of the day and evening. The property felt very safe - with the house alarms and 24 hour security at the entry gate. Josue, the concierge, was fantastic. He helped us plan and coordinate all of our activities each day (Sunset cruise, zip lining, Manuel Antonio National Park, and Parasailing) and was very responsive to whatever we needed. We also really enjoyed having him as our guide for our visit to Manuel Antonio National Park as well. Roxana, the housekeeper, is truly lovely and was very helpful when needed. Basically the entire management of the house and rental process by Heather (the owner), Josue, and Roxana was superb. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the family jungle house to friends."Guest: Heather B. Date of Stay: November 2014 Review Submitted: December 13, 2014View listing
"Stunning architecture, simple but functional interior design, breathtaking views of coast and sunset. Hammocks on the porch, nice size jacuzzi, gas grill, outdoor dining perfectly located on a hilltop with a constant nice breeze and surrounding wildlife. Jean, the owner, did not only make sure we had all we needed and expected but was also a great resource for local tours and events. We were very happy with our accomodation and will likely be back in the near future. PS: ..and YES, you can hear some wildlife around the house, even at night because it is so quiet but that is one of the reasons we chose Manuel Antonio and not a desert. Thanks Jean!!"Guest: Alex D. "Just got back from a 2 night stay in this Condo. Was staying in another condo in the same complex for 5 days prior which was nicer/larger but also more expensive. Can't beat the amazing views and great location of this condo. This is perfect place if you don't want to get a rental car and want to be near beautiful beaches and amazing restaurants and bars. The apartment itself is a little outdated and could. Would be great if there were a couple beach towels and a few others items for guests. The bathroom also could use a bit of a scrub down. Overall I was super happy with the space for the cost! Marc was very responsive and helpful. Will definitely look to stay here again when I come back"Guest: Brittany L.
