"We had a wonderful experience at this beautiful home in Cabuya, Costa Rica. We stayed for five weeks with a family of six, including four young children. The home is exquisite and well-appointed. We found we had everything we needed. The beds are comfortable and the outdoor space is divine. Some days we just hung around the house, enjoying the pool and the fantastic hammocks. It's true, there is no air conditioning, but we found ourselves accustomed to the heat fairly quickly. The (very clean) pool is fantastic, by the way! The owner and the caretaker, Rosa, are wonderful people. We found them to be helpful and kind every step of the way, including when we needed to leave quickly due to a family emergency. We loved the location of this home. Cabuya is quaint with beautiful shorelines and the people are so friendly. I couldn't recommend the home more!!
In terms of Cabuya, it can be helpful to know a few things. First, a car or ATV is necessary to fully enjoy the area unless you are comfortable walking long distances. There is a public bus, but it is somewhat unreliable. Visit Jenny at the Cafe Coyote is a must. Try the coffee at the Cabuya Bakery and the family-style meals at Delphin De La Luna. We found that we didn't swim at Playa Cabuya, due to the rocks, but there are numerous beautiful beaches very close by. Check out Playa Montezuma, Playa Grande, Mar Azul, Playa Carmen and Playa Hermosa."

"The property is amazingly beautiful and the owners could not be better people. Our best days were doing activities recommended by the host. Our children did not want to leave! Casa trogon has two bedrooms and one bath with daily maid service. We cooked several full meals in our kitchen and played lazily on the porch in the pool and in the hammock. The owner has amazing koi ponds and even let our children hand feed them one afternoon. We saw a huge variety of birds, butterflies, and monkeys even travelled through one early afternoon. We could not have asked for a better experience!"

"We stayed at the pool house and absolutely loved it. Gini was very friendly and made us feel right at home. This house is in a perfect location. Close enough to town but still gives you a secluded nature feel. We are deffenitly planing on returning in the future."

"We recently returned from a 4 week stay (February 2015) at La Colina de Carolina just outside of Montezuma in Costa Rica. The accommodations were just right for us, 2 retired travellers.
The house and grounds were in excellent condition, private and very secure with an onsite caretaker (Bladimir) and nearby property manager (Ginette) available should we need them. The house was comfortable and very well equipped, especially the kitchen. The veranda is a highlight; spacious with lots of comfortable seating and a large a dining table where we had all of our meals. It had cool breezes, birds and butterflies visiting the trees and flowering bushes, a great view of the ocean, and no problems with bugs.
The weather was perfect every day for four weeks, Montezuma is a small but interesting town with many beautiful beaches, waterfalls, excursions and other attractions available to spend the day and a huge number of dining options ranging from gourmet to typical Costa Rican. The house and property were accessible to the town and surrounding area by walking and public transit (we didn't rent a car). Taxis and shuttle services are also plentiful and reasonably priced.
The owner "Carolina" indicated that her goal was that our stay at La Colina would exceed our expectations ... mission accomplished. Prior to our arrival, she and her property manager answered many questions to help us prepare for our first visit to Costa Rica. Many thanks to Carolina, Ginette, and Bladimir for making our first visit to Costa Rica a fantastic experience."
