  • Luxury overlooking the bay.

"Yes - this place really does exist! The rental agent could have been a bit more prompt in returning e-mails, but her suggestions and help were spot-on. The owners rep, Peter, lives right across the road and was there with a big smile every morning after sunrise (which occurs over-looking the bay as you sit by the pool) and was full of information on where to go, what to do and who to see. It seems like he knows everyone and is always making sure that everything is right. There were 9 of us, spanning 3 generations, and we still had a bedroom left over. You do need a car, but it doesn't HAVE to be 4WD unless you're there in rainy season - it just needs to sit up higher than a car depending on where you're going. The roads are a joke, so speeding isn't something you have to worry about. Most of the roads are dirt and so poorly maintained that an old cow path might be easier to traverse, and the number of motorcycles and ATVs are about the same as cars/trucks, so be careful when moving to avoid a hole in the road as you don't want to hit a motorcyclist trying to pass you. I would highly recommend the Saturday morning market if you're looking for produce. We did the Zip line tours with Sun Trails, and they were great, as was Zuma Tours for snorkeling and Tortuga Island. Peter recommended some great restaurants, and some of the fun was just strolling around and eating at a place that just happened to be there when we got hungry. The locals are all very friendly and most speak some English. Everyone takes American $$. Make sure you take enough so you don't have to use the ATM. Half of our group has already had their bank accounts hacked after using the ATM in Playa Carmen. Can't say enough about the Villa. It was the PERFECT spot to spend the Christmas/New Year week."

"The property is amazingly beautiful and the owners could not be better people. Our best days were doing activities recommended by the host. Our children did not want to leave! Casa trogon has two bedrooms and one bath with daily maid service. We cooked several full meals in our kitchen and played lazily on the porch in the pool and in the hammock. The owner has amazing koi ponds and even let our children hand feed them one afternoon. We saw a huge variety of birds, butterflies, and monkeys even travelled through one early afternoon. We could not have asked for a better experience!"

  • Great family vacation home

"We were a family of 8 adults and one 16 month old baby boy. The home was great for our family. We enjoyed being away from the business and noise of a resort and town. We enjoyed the casualness and openness of the home. Our family cooked meals in most of the week and enjoyed the outdoor kitchen, and pizza oven. Renting a car is a must, and we enjoyed excursions into Montezums, surfing, zip lining, and snorkeling. We had a great week and would recommend this to a family looking for a jungle get away to experience something different!"

"This place is fantastic. The house was clean and very comfortable. So nice to have the windows and doors open the whole week we were there. The pool was clean and warm, with a great view of the ocean. The manager, Leanne, was very helpful and friendly. The owner, Joachim, happened to be in the area so it was great to meet him. We appreciated his offer to help with any problem we had (which was none). It was obvious that he takes pride in his property and it showed from the decor and the maintenance. Definitely would stay here again and we highly recommend it. Mike and Maria"

Montezuma Travel Tips

Montezuma Beach Rentals Offer Affordable Beauty

Montezuma, Costa Rica was discovered by tourists in the 1980s for vacationers with strict budgets. Vacations in Costa Rica to Puntarenas Province are often in small fishing villages, like Montezuma. If you want a romantic getaway then Montezuma Beach rentals on the southern tip of Nicoya Peninsula is the answer you are looking for. Montezuma resorts line the beaches, as do shops and restaurants.

Montezuma Resorts with European Influence

A tiny beach near Montezuma resorts provides a mixture of Ticos and European influence. Montezuma is not as well-known for surfing as other beaches, yet it still provides some great fun. The waves will roll in during high tide offering perfect surfing. For those who do not surf, snorkeling in the mornings on vacations in Costa Rica offers the best lighting. You will be able to see a variety of tropical fish whether you snorkel or scuba dive off the coast near Montezuma Beach rentals.

Nature Vacations in Costa Rica

If you love nature, vacations in Costa Rica are the right thing to do. The tropical rainforest in Costa Rica runs from its western Pacific shores to the Eastern Caribbean. A particular gem of Puntarenas Province is Montezuma Falls. A short hike from Montezuma resorts will have you at Montezuma Falls for a picnic lunch. The falls are located at Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve, which is seven minutes from the center of town. El Chorro Waterfall is a two-hour walk up the north coast where swimming is an option.

Montezuma Beach Rentals near Recreation

Recreation in Montezuma is more than hiking in nature or surfing in the ocean. Many companies cater to horseback riding, kayaking, yoga, boat trips and tours. Costa Rica is well-known as a haven for sea turtles that come to nest on the shores. During July through October, you can watch the nesting sea turtles and hatchlings return to the sea. ATV rentals, Spanish classes, butterfly garden tours, and fire dancing classes are also offered near Montezuma Beach rentals.
