  • Great vacation home!

"Chez Mu is a beautiful home in a rugged, beautiful area. It is close to Montezuma but off the path enough to enjoy beautiful views, sounds of the jungle and enjoy the wildlife. The kitchen is well stocked with nice appliances and dishes. The bedrooms are air conditioned and the furnishings are basic, clean and comfortable. The house is well stocked with coolers and beach mats for a day at the beach. The deck area is amazing. It is better than the pictures. We loved getting up in the morning, listening to the monkeys, seeing the ocean and viewing birds from the gorgeous infinity pool. The pool is small but our family loved relaxing in the pool soaking in the view. The owners are responsive by email and the caretakers keep the property clean and are sweet and helpful. We cannot wait to come back!"

  • Paradise

"The property is amazingly beautiful and the owners could not be better people. Our best days were doing activities recommended by the host. Our children did not want to leave! Casa trogon has two bedrooms and one bath with daily maid service. We cooked several full meals in our kitchen and played lazily on the porch in the pool and in the hammock. The owner has amazing koi ponds and even let our children hand feed them one afternoon. We saw a huge variety of birds, butterflies, and monkeys even travelled through one early afternoon. We could not have asked for a better experience!"

  • Luxury overlooking the bay.

"Yes - this place really does exist! The rental agent could have been a bit more prompt in returning e-mails, but her suggestions and help were spot-on. The owners rep, Peter, lives right across the road and was there with a big smile every morning after sunrise (which occurs over-looking the bay as you sit by the pool) and was full of information on where to go, what to do and who to see. It seems like he knows everyone and is always making sure that everything is right. There were 9 of us, spanning 3 generations, and we still had a bedroom left over. You do need a car, but it doesn't HAVE to be 4WD unless you're there in rainy season - it just needs to sit up higher than a car depending on where you're going. The roads are a joke, so speeding isn't something you have to worry about. Most of the roads are dirt and so poorly maintained that an old cow path might be easier to traverse, and the number of motorcycles and ATVs are about the same as cars/trucks, so be careful when moving to avoid a hole in the road as you don't want to hit a motorcyclist trying to pass you. I would highly recommend the Saturday morning market if you're looking for produce. We did the Zip line tours with Sun Trails, and they were great, as was Zuma Tours for snorkeling and Tortuga Island. Peter recommended some great restaurants, and some of the fun was just strolling around and eating at a place that just happened to be there when we got hungry. The locals are all very friendly and most speak some English. Everyone takes American $$. Make sure you take enough so you don't have to use the ATM. Half of our group has already had their bank accounts hacked after using the ATM in Playa Carmen. Can't say enough about the Villa. It was the PERFECT spot to spend the Christmas/New Year week."

  • Nice place for a young family

"We felt really comfortable and wellcomed from the first minute after our arriving. Ype is a good guy, who is open to help you anytime. The accomodation is clean, spacy and enough private. Fully equipped kitchen, a few friendly dogs and cats, and a privacy makes the place ideal for us as we were here with our 16 months old boy. The house is close enought to Montezuma center and surrounded beaches, it takes 5 minutes by car to go there, but at the same time remote from nightlife noises. Fur surf lovers, nice beaches are around in Cabuyia (15 min), Malpais and Santa Tereza (40 minutes). The house is located on the hill, so you can see and hear the ocean and the coast, the stars, sunrise and sunset. We definitelly reccomend the stay here!"
