  • Luxury overlooking the bay.

"Yes - this place really does exist! The rental agent could have been a bit more prompt in returning e-mails, but her suggestions and help were spot-on. The owners rep, Peter, lives right across the road and was there with a big smile every morning after sunrise (which occurs over-looking the bay as you sit by the pool) and was full of information on where to go, what to do and who to see. It seems like he knows everyone and is always making sure that everything is right. There were 9 of us, spanning 3 generations, and we still had a bedroom left over. You do need a car, but it doesn't HAVE to be 4WD unless you're there in rainy season - it just needs to sit up higher than a car depending on where you're going. The roads are a joke, so speeding isn't something you have to worry about. Most of the roads are dirt and so poorly maintained that an old cow path might be easier to traverse, and the number of motorcycles and ATVs are about the same as cars/trucks, so be careful when moving to avoid a hole in the road as you don't want to hit a motorcyclist trying to pass you. I would highly recommend the Saturday morning market if you're looking for produce. We did the Zip line tours with Sun Trails, and they were great, as was Zuma Tours for snorkeling and Tortuga Island. Peter recommended some great restaurants, and some of the fun was just strolling around and eating at a place that just happened to be there when we got hungry. The locals are all very friendly and most speak some English. Everyone takes American $$. Make sure you take enough so you don't have to use the ATM. Half of our group has already had their bank accounts hacked after using the ATM in Playa Carmen. Can't say enough about the Villa. It was the PERFECT spot to spend the Christmas/New Year week."

  • Perfect beach location!

"We had a fabulous week thanks to Ivan's welcoming nature and beautiful house. For a family with teenagers it was ideal as safe swimming on our doorstep, and plenty of activities all provided through Ivan (fishing, snorkelling trip to Isla Tortuga, surf lessons, paddle boarding, quad biking through the Nicoya countryside). Other beautiful beaches within walking distance, groceries and a great choice of restaurants a short walk away. The house is just as described and all the people we met in Montezuma very friendly and welcoming. A great place to stay, we would love to return sometime."

  • AMAZING house and will be back!

"All of the great reviews about the house are true and the pictures on the site do not do it justice. The house is fantastic and across the road from Montezuma Falls as well as the Anamaya resort that offers yoga/massage which was a nice treat. The town itself is a couple of minutes away and we loved visiting the different restaurants – our favorite was Cocolores where the fresh fish and relaxed ambiance was beyond compare. We initially planned to stay a few days but between the house and town of Montezuma we extended our stay. We even volunteered at the Montezuma beach Turtle Hatchery. Lora, the manager was extremely helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. Our kids, aged 6, 8 and 14 LOVED the layout of the house and the pool. We were daily visited by Howler monkeys, hummingbirds and coatis. There is plenty to do in Montezuma (Zuma tours was fantastic + Young Vision surf school) and the fact that we had such an amazing location made it even more memorable. We will be back."

  • Great views

"It was our third trip to Costa Rica and we were looking to a home with a view that we could share with another couple. Hilltop Casa met our expectations for a fantastic view as we were 600 feet above the beach overlooking the Pacific. It was a birdwatching paradise with nearby howler monkeys and other wildlife. The house was as expected a lovely tropical home with open-air facilities. The host was very helpful in locating excellent restaurants and hearby activities. Would recommend to home to the adventurous traveler."

Montezuma Travel Tips

Montezuma Beach Rentals Offer Affordable Beauty

Montezuma, Costa Rica was discovered by tourists in the 1980s for vacationers with strict budgets. Vacations in Costa Rica to Puntarenas Province are often in small fishing villages, like Montezuma. If you want a romantic getaway then Montezuma Beach rentals on the southern tip of Nicoya Peninsula is the answer you are looking for. Montezuma resorts line the beaches, as do shops and restaurants.

Montezuma Resorts with European Influence

A tiny beach near Montezuma resorts provides a mixture of Ticos and European influence. Montezuma is not as well-known for surfing as other beaches, yet it still provides some great fun. The waves will roll in during high tide offering perfect surfing. For those who do not surf, snorkeling in the mornings on vacations in Costa Rica offers the best lighting. You will be able to see a variety of tropical fish whether you snorkel or scuba dive off the coast near Montezuma Beach rentals.

Nature Vacations in Costa Rica

If you love nature, vacations in Costa Rica are the right thing to do. The tropical rainforest in Costa Rica runs from its western Pacific shores to the Eastern Caribbean. A particular gem of Puntarenas Province is Montezuma Falls. A short hike from Montezuma resorts will have you at Montezuma Falls for a picnic lunch. The falls are located at Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve, which is seven minutes from the center of town. El Chorro Waterfall is a two-hour walk up the north coast where swimming is an option.

Montezuma Beach Rentals near Recreation

Recreation in Montezuma is more than hiking in nature or surfing in the ocean. Many companies cater to horseback riding, kayaking, yoga, boat trips and tours. Costa Rica is well-known as a haven for sea turtles that come to nest on the shores. During July through October, you can watch the nesting sea turtles and hatchlings return to the sea. ATV rentals, Spanish classes, butterfly garden tours, and fire dancing classes are also offered near Montezuma Beach rentals.
