  • Great getaway

"We had an excellent experience at the pool house. The house is very clean and comfortable and the pool is wonderful. It was incredibly relaxing and wish we could have stayed much longer. I enjoyed the close proximity to Montezuma and Cabo Blanco and being able to come back to such a peaceful home. Ginny makes sure everything is in order and I felt like this place was well worth the money. I highly recommend it."

  • A beautiful home in a beautiful country

"I will start by sharing the basic details of my family. I went over to Costa Rica with my husband, 2 kids (7 & 2), and my mother. We arrived in San Jose and rented a car to drive to the ferry, and then Montezuma. Please be advised that if you have children (especially small children), it is probably best to stay overnight in San Jose and head out the next morning for the journey to Montezuma. It takes over 4 hours to get to Montezuma from the airport, and that is if you have no major delays and get on the ferry quickly (which can also be a challenge)...and bring food (depending on the route, you may have very limited options along the way). Anyhow, once we arrived at the home in Montezuma, we were greeted by the caretaker. He was very friendly, and showed us where things were, and had already set up the beds for us. That was very nice, as we arrived late that evening. The home is very nice! My 2 kids had a great time running in and out onto the porch, and really liked the option of having breakfast outside on the porch. Please take into consideration as well (when you are packing) that the home isn't equipped with air conditioning as it is not really common in the area. It can be humid as well...it is essentially in a rain forest. The home is installed with a solar hot water heater, which worked out well as we never ran out of hot water. Most things that you need at home are there (i.e. washer/dryer, refrigerator, microwave, stove, etc). The home has a beautiful view of the ocean. The wildlife and plants surrounding it are fascinating. My children had a great time noticing all of the new plants, lizards, monkeys, and red squirrels. The beach is very near and was lots of fun to explore. The home is very near the city of Montezuma...where there are great restaurants and a small store to purchase grocery items. We had a very relaxing fun time in Montezuma!! The kids talk about going back a lot! I would also recommend spending a day in San Jose before you return home. Carol, the owner of the home in Montezuma, referred us to a taxi driver that took us to visit the coffee plantation, volcano, and waterfall garden for a great price! We definitely plan to return to Costa Rica one day!!"

  • Absolute paradise!

"Casa Frangipani was amazing. Every detail is taken care of very meticulously, so you arrive and you feel at home. The villas are wonderful and spacious, with a very cozy decoration and an architectural style that is in perfect harmony. The staff at the property is always very helpful. I would recommend the place for any type of vacation, especially in groups, because of the intimate feeling you have inside the property. It'll be hard to stay at a regular hotel anywhere after this experience."

  • Perfect beach location!

"We had a fabulous week thanks to Ivan's welcoming nature and beautiful house. For a family with teenagers it was ideal as safe swimming on our doorstep, and plenty of activities all provided through Ivan (fishing, snorkelling trip to Isla Tortuga, surf lessons, paddle boarding, quad biking through the Nicoya countryside). Other beautiful beaches within walking distance, groceries and a great choice of restaurants a short walk away. The house is just as described and all the people we met in Montezuma very friendly and welcoming. A great place to stay, we would love to return sometime."

Montezuma resorts line the beaches, as do shops and restaurants.

Montezuma Resorts with European Influence

A tiny beach near Montezuma resorts provides a mixture of Ticos and European influence. Montezuma is not as well-known for surfing as other beaches, yet it still provides some great fun. The waves will roll in during high tide offering perfect surfing. For those who do not surf, snorkeling in the mornings on vacations in Costa Rica offers the best lighting. Nature Vacations in Costa Rica

If you love nature, vacations in Costa Rica are the right thing to do. The tropical rainforest in Costa Rica runs from its western Pacific shores to the Eastern Caribbean. A particular gem of Puntarenas Province is Montezuma Falls. A short hike from Montezuma resorts will have you at Montezuma Falls for a picnic lunch. The falls are located at Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve, which is seven minutes from the center of town. El Chorro Waterfall is a two-hour walk up the north coast where swimming is an option.

Montezuma Beach Rentals near Recreation

Recreation in Montezuma is more than hiking in nature or surfing in the ocean. Many companies cater to horseback riding, kayaking, yoga, boat trips and tours. Costa Rica is well-known as a haven for sea turtles that come to nest on the shores. During July through October, you can watch the nesting sea turtles and hatchlings return to the sea.
