"My family of four were staying in Playa Grande when we decided we wanted to see a different part of the Pacific Coast. We found this place and contacted the owners who responded quickly. Happily the house was available and we stayed there the next night! Jeff and Katherine were so kind to have the place ready on such short notice. Their directions were clear and accurate and we found it quite easily. The grounds are like a botanical garden, there are so many fruit trees and beautiful flowers. The pool was small but perfect for our needs. The entire property is like a mini-resort without all the noisy people. The house was much more stylish than most vacation rental places and we settled in easily. We were only there for two nights so we didn't end up cooking there, but it looked like they had everything one would need. The rooms all had A/C, which was quite welcome because the entire west coast was in a bit of a heat wave when we were there. The house was immaculately clean and had a lovely spice smell. We would be happy to stay there again (for a longer time, hopefully) but visitors should be aware that it's a good 10-15 minute walk to the ocean. On the plus side, it's just a 5-10 minute walk to two good markets and two very good restaurants. Jeff and Katherine helped set up a day tour to Isla Tortuga and I know there are many other activities they can help set up. We loved our visit to Casa Tranquilo!"Guest: Patrick F. "We stayed at Ype s house for a week in July.We had such a nice time there. It s really quiet and peaceful. You are surrounded by nature and fruits trees. Ype is so helpful with everything! He took us every morning to the town. He is the guy who makes you really comfortable. We had some nice talking, really nice time. He even did some shopping for my boyfriend in Cobano because he wanted to have some fishing gear. He has few dogs in his property. They are very friendly. It was really nice to have them around! Ype is a really kind guy who really takes good care of their guests! I definitely recommend this place. I will recommend it to all my friends who are going to Costa Rica and definitely I ll go back one day. My boyfriend and I had such a great time over there. It s just what we were looking for. Also, the room was really clean and all the house as well even with dogs! So, don t wait to book at his place!;) you will not be disappointed !;)"Guest: Marie-Julie Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 17, 2014View listing
"This casa exudes the Costa Rican life style, frequently referred to as Pura Vida. Sitting in the title pools (when safe) with your favorite bevarage removes any stress that one may have brought down with them. It is close enough to Montezuma but far enough away that one can engage in the life there or escape into your own private garden. The casa is artistic with beautiful wood work and tile. The hammock on the front porch will afford you as many hours of peace and calm you may need. We loved this place and would recommend it only to people seeking Pura Vida."Guest: Suzanna Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: June 9, 2014View listing
"Chez Mu is a beautiful home in a rugged, beautiful area. It is close to Montezuma but off the path enough to enjoy beautiful views, sounds of the jungle and enjoy the wildlife. The kitchen is well stocked with nice appliances and dishes. The bedrooms are air conditioned and the furnishings are basic, clean and comfortable. The house is well stocked with coolers and beach mats for a day at the beach. The deck area is amazing. It is better than the pictures. We loved getting up in the morning, listening to the monkeys, seeing the ocean and viewing birds from the gorgeous infinity pool. The pool is small but our family loved relaxing in the pool soaking in the view. The owners are responsive by email and the caretakers keep the property clean and are sweet and helpful. We cannot wait to come back!"Guest: Sheridee Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 6, 2014View listing
