"Honestly, the best place we stayed on our vacation! The pool was incredible! Honestly, I loved the view and the privacy. For those of you who enjoy wildlife, this place is surrounded by it! You feel like you have perfect privacy with the gated fence and the surrounding jungle."

"Fiesta del Rio is a little paradise. The house and the landscaping of the yard and pool are beautiful. The cottage is in a very private location and has all the comfort of your own home. It is tastefully decorated and has top quality lines, bath towels, etc. We loved the spacious patio and had all our breakfasts and dinners there. The view of the yard and jungle surrounding it is amazing. In the morning we saw toucans in nearby trees and howler monkeys in the trees at the entrance of the property. The yard surrounding the cottage is absolutely beautiful. We loved every single minute of our stay in Fiesta del Rio. My kids (they are 7 and 9) enjoyed to cool down in the pool and my husband and I loved to relax in the pool overcooling the creek and jungle under it.
Ken and Sharon are wonderful hosts. They were very respectful of our privacy but at the same time they really care about their guests and make sure you have all you need. One morning talking with Sharon we told her how much we love tropical fruit and on the same day she had her gardeners bring us fresh fruits from the trees in her property. Ken and Sharon are very knowledgeable about the area and gave us great advice about places to visit and things to do.
Ojochal is a very pretty small village and has everything you can wish for (supermarket, restaurants, info center to book your tour, etc.). It is very close to great beaches and waterfalls.
Fiesta del Rio is surely one special place we plan to go back to."

The most wonderful and romantic week long vacation in paradise
"It has taken me half a year to write this review because I have only had wonderful things to say about this property and the experience we had. My boyfriend and I met Ken, the property manager, who was more than helpful and accommodating and took us to the property. The second we arrived, we were in utter awe, by far the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen and the house was outstanding. One of my favorite things about the house was watching the sunset poolside with a cocktail in hand. Ken provided us with many recommendations of restaurants, local beaches, and activities, which was very helpful during our stay.
The house itself was beautiful. I loved the European feel situated in the middle of the jungle. It had everything we could have needed. We loved going to the local markets and cooking food at the house. The indoor outdoor feel of the house was amazing and at night we could hear the waves crash down below on the beach. We pretty much had our own tropical botanical garden surrounding us with the beautiful landscaping, it made it very hard to leave the property. We even had the pleasure of eating breakfast and seeing a handful of tiny toucans feeding in one of the flower plants about 15 feet away.
The private pool was awesome and beautiful. We spent most mornings and evenings taking a swim and then went off on different adventures. There is a veranda for every mood. Perfect for drinking morning coffee on and taking in the views and wildlife, including the green parrot ritual that many others wrote about. Very cool experience.
Rick and Diane were wonderful hosts themselves. Diane would come around the property to garden and her and Rick were staying at the guest house just below us. They even invited us in and gave us a local avocado to eat. They both were super sweet and gave us great recommendations.
Some of our favorite activities were going out to eat at citrus and mama e papas, getting roadside ceviche, the whale tail beach, the tilapia farms, kayaking, day trip to Corcovado, and finding local waterfalls to hang out at. Oojochal has some of the best food and well worth it.
We are definitely planning on coming back to casa Ylang Ylang in the near future. I still can't get the fresh Ylang Ylang smell out of my nose. Another favorite of the house :) It is about a 3 hour drive from San Jose, but beautiful and worth the trek. The surrounding towns were very cute themselves.
Thanks for the most amazing and memorable vacation!"

"We spent a month overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean. The villa was perfect, exactly as described.
The kitchen is well stocked with everything we needed. The beds were so comfortable, better than could have hoped for. The pool....heaven!!
The restaurants in the area were all fantastic, we loved every meal out. Our favorites, The Dome (uvita), Jolly Roger ( Dominical) and in Ojochal Mama e Papa's, Citrus, Coranado, and the Tilapia Farm. We stayed busy with so many excursions: Osa zip line, Cano island snorkeling, ATV ride, horseback ride to waterfalls, and snorkeling near The Whale's Tail....there is so much to or relaxing at the villa listening to the waves in the distance.
Kumari was so incredible, making sure our stay was perfect, she is one of those rare gems that always shines and makes those near feel warm and welcomed.
We are looking forward to our next trip to Costa Rica and would love to return to Jardin Del Pacifico!! Thank you so much for sharing your exquisite home with us!!"
