  • So good we had to come back

"My wife and stayed here once before and fell in love with the area. We came back and brought my Sister and Brother in Law. They didn't believe us when we told them about the area and the home. They confirmed that this is the greatest. We have already made plans to return."

  • Best House Rental in Santa Teresa

"Where to start...what an amazing house! First of all the location of this house couldn't be any better. Very centrally located, 200 meters to the main beach road of Santa Teresa, and such a short walk to the beautiful pristine beaches. The house itself is just beautiful and very well maintained. 2 bedrooms, one with an amazing king size bed, with a big L couch that easily sleeps 2 people if needed. The second bedroom can be made up with a queen or two single beds, making it very flexible for all different groups of travelers. 2.5 bathrooms, very spacious living and dining room space, with an amazing infinity pool. With the intensely hot sun during the middle of the day, seeking shelter in the house to relax and cool down was just perfect and breezy being perched up on the hill surrounded by the Costa Rican wildlife! The two house cats made our stay even more fun as well! The house owner Siggi was simply awesome. She was very organized, and made every effort possible to make sure we were all taken care of properly. It was her organization that assured us our valuables and possessions were completely safe in her house (which I might add has a full on gate to keep any unwanted people out) Having a 4x4 is definitely necessary to reach the house, as I can imagine in the wet season the road gets washed out alot. One of the best parts was having coffee grinds and milk in the fridge for our first morning wake up - the finishing touch by Siggi to her wonderful house and hospitality. This place is a must visit and is as beautiful as described and shown through the pictures."

  • Week in paradise

"This condo was the perfect place for a vacation! Just to wake up to the views every day made us want to stay. We can't wait to go back to have our cocktails by the pool. We will definitely be renting again as soon as we can. Bruce made the renting process so easy and was so great at answering our questions and making us feel at home. Thanks, Bruce!"

  • Amazing View of Backwash Bay

"The home is a welcome retreat: tastefully furnished, spacious, peaceful, and surrounded by large trees and wildlife like coatimundi, scarlet macaws, monkeys, lizards, large tropical birds, etc. We won't forget the day that 30 racoons crossed the back lawn right in front of us. You wake each morning to sounds of Howler monkeys calling from the trees, birds, and the relaxing sounds of nature against the backdrop of crashing waves. You can feed fruits to the visiting Capuchin monkeys in the backyard. You can paddle straight out to Backwash Bay from the properties path down to the bay. And you can go deep-sea fishing along Cabo Matapalo and catch mahimahi, mackerel, tuna, snapper, etc. A fish monger can also sell you fish from his moped each day if you like. There were no mosquitos here - but beware of the noseeums at dawn and dusk on the beaches (their bites itch 100x's more than mosquitos). Our family with young children felt totally safe in the home during the entire stay. Our children played with the caretaker's son most days, as well as with neighborhood children. No one in our family got sick from drinking the tap water, ice or food during our entire stay. One warning is that the power goes out most nights so have your laptops, cell phones charged up before you go to sleep. And lights in the home are dim in the evenings - so plan accordingly. And be aware that there will be some days of cold showers. We appreciated the daily housekeeping which kept things looking neat and tidy. My only suggestion is that the kitchen be stocked with paper towels, salt, and pepper. You can obtain a shopping list for the grocery store in Puerto Jimenez prior to your arrival so that you know what to buy before heading out on the 45-minute drive to Cabo Matapalo (because the road is quite bumpy, you want to stock up on as much food as possible so that you don't need to drive back to PJ too often)."
