  • Charming house, great hosts!

"Our stay at Mango St. Casita was just what we hoped for. It’s a sweet little house, next door to owners’ house, but out of sight—sufficiently private. We had our own little patio that backed up onto a patch of jungle, where we saw birds, butterflies and cute little lizards – but not the sloths or monkeys other guests sometime see! Owners Nichole and/or Mario would stop by every day to see if we needed help organizing anything, or finding food—I had some of the best fresh fish I’ve ever had, when Mario found us some red snapper that had just been caught that day! They helped arrange trips to Corcovado, snorkeling, the night hike (fabulous!), and a private bird-watching walk (Carlos was great!). We loved having our own little place, and felt very taken care of as well. The house is a 5 minute walk from the boat landing, or to the collection of little restaurants and tiny tiendas in town. You can also walk from town down the coast, in the jungle with ocean views and sweet little beaches, for as far as you want. We had a great time, and would happily come stay here again!"

  • Wonderful!

"We spent a wonderful week at this house. Playa Lapa is so close to nature - right there outside your door. We were lulled to sleep each night by the ocean, and awoken each morning by the wildlife (the parrots and howling monkeys were great.) Conveniently located to the national forest, and remote enough to truly have some unwinding time away from the hustle and bustle. Kitchen was sufficiently appointed, and plenty of linens to last us throught he week. Manuel and Phoebe are on-site and available to assist at any time. Take a kayak out to the lagoon to visit the crocs, or visit Phoebe's sea turtles. My son had an amazing first morning watching sea turtles hatch. He learned so much about nature and wildlife that it was well worth the drive. Would return."

  • Great family vacation at the Family Jungle House!

"We stayed for a week at the "Jungle House": 5 adults, two teens and an 11 and 8 year old. The pool was great- kids and adults loved the slide! (Although I do recommend that you use an old bathing suit because the slide can cause a little damage to your suit...we had a blast and didn't care ultimately!) The wildlife on the property was fabulous. On the second day there a large group of titi monkeys came to visit us and were very comfortable and playful on one of the trees just above us (we took a million pictures of course!), there was a sloth in one of the trees just across the dirt road from the house, and we saw tons of beautiful birds throughout our stay and even bats at night! We loved sitting out on the back porch and enjoyed our coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening watching the wildlife and the view of the mountain and jungle forest was spectacular at all times of the day and evening. The property felt very safe - with the house alarms and 24 hour security at the entry gate. Josue, the concierge, was fantastic. He helped us plan and coordinate all of our activities each day (Sunset cruise, zip lining, Manuel Antonio National Park, and Parasailing) and was very responsive to whatever we needed. We also really enjoyed having him as our guide for our visit to Manuel Antonio National Park as well. Roxana, the housekeeper, is truly lovely and was very helpful when needed. Basically the entire management of the house and rental process by Heather (the owner), Josue, and Roxana was superb. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the family jungle house to friends."

  • Beautiful! Great location!

"This was our first trip to Costa Rica - and we will be coming back very soon. The bungalow's are right on the beach. It was also walking distance to cafes and a grocery store. Anna was great - she helped us with transportation to and from the airport in Tambor. My husband surfs and he was very happy with the surf. I really enjoyed the beach to the right of the bungalows. It was more private, had some great tidal pools - like bay water. Very peaceful. Directly in front of the bungalow is where the fisherman are. You can even buy their catch right there on the beach. If you're looking for heaven on earth - this is it!"
