  • Central pacific surf trip

"I spent three weeks in Costa Rica this summer. Casa Rowe was my home for the entire stay. My main reason for this trip, was surf, which I found plenty of in Playa Bejuco and nearby areas. When a big south swell created too big of surf for me in Bejuco, I was able to find nearby spots with nice, clean, more manageable 3-6' waves...just a quick drive away. The house was great, nicely furnished, a/c, super comfortable (even the beds), had absolutely everything I needed, including wi-fi which was a must to keep up with my work, and a flat screen tv with cable, which although not necessary for me, did end up being pretty nice. Nice neighborhood, friendly, and safe. The Delfin and Hotel Bejuco, right down the road, have great food- nice spots to get a couple beers as well. I've been making trips to costa rica for the past 7 years, and realize that the central pacific is my favorite place to stay because of the numerous nearby accesible surf spots. I was in great position for this at Casa Rowe, really enjoyed my stay, and am definitely returning."

  • Just call it PARADISE!!!

"We spent 10 days over New Year's with our 3 kids in Playa Bejuco and I'm convinced we had the best house around! This place is clean, spacious, comfortable and equipped with everything you need. I personnally loved the kitchen, from where you can always have a peak at the beach. The owner lives a few houses down the street and that is convenient. The washing machine is also a great bonus when you have children. The beach is right across the small dirt road. It is a super long beach, endless on either sides. The waves were just perfect for our kids, in shallow water, where they could actually surf with the boogie boards provided by the owner. We could watch some great surfers everyday. You can also watch the beautiful red aras down the street. I would suggest to have a car. It is a residential area with a couple of hotels around and a small convenience store maybe 2 km from the house. For a bigger grocery store, you have to go to Parrita, maybe 12 km away. You are about 30 minutes away from Jaco and Manual Antonio. Manual Antonio has a great reputation, but if you like quiet places, you better stay at the house! If you have your own gear, there is some nice snorkelling to do in Quepos, near the marina. And if you want to do a zip-line, the one in Parrita is awesome. Only 6 cables, but super long (500 meters), super high with great views of the ocean. The hotel near the house can book it for you. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and I would not hesitate to go back. It was just the perfect way to end our 5 week vacation in Costa Rica. Merci Richard!!!"

  • Relaxing, secluded vacation

"The Tropical Beach Vacation Home lived up to its billing. We have stayed a few other house within the same subdivision, but none are better than this one. Given its location within the subdivision (close to the entryway and to the beautiful community pool), its floor plan, its own pool, and the helpfulness of the owner, we highly recommend renting this house (except when we want to again!). Playa Bejuca is not a tourist beach, so if you are wanting seclusion, this would be ideal. Jaco is the tourist beach town and it is only a 20 minute drive, where you can get all the restaurants, groceries, tourist attractions, golf, fishing, and night life that you may desire. Then come back to Playa Bejuca to rejuvinate the body and soul. Maunel Antonio National Park (Costa Rica's most popular national park) is about a 30 minute drive to the south. The house is well apportioned. The only thing I can recommend to the owner would be to install more outdoor lighting around the pool area."

  • Great choice

"The house, neighborhood and location were fabulous! The house has great space for family gathering, is well equipped and beautifully maintained. It is a short distance to the pool (short walk). We loved the gated community for feeling safe and got to meet a few neighbors briefly. The beach is very clean and felt private most of the time....we were the only people there most days."
