  • Our new home away from home!

"What struck us most was the extent to which every detail was attended to and every effort made to make us feel completely at home! Greg and his staff (and yes, including the ever adorable Luna) have thought of everything. Their hospitality, assistance and guidance, the conveniences that one would expect and the little details such as an intimate place to BBQ, a comfy hammock to relax in and even reading materials to share in a little makeshift library were all very much appreciated; this place really has it all! We feel fortunate to have found this place and to have met Greg. During our stay in Santa Teresa, having this place to return to every evening truly felt like we were returning to our home away from home. Pura Vida Greg!"

  • Excellent vacation

"This condo was hard to leave! Such an oasis from the cold, New England weather. Everything was fantastic with the condo. Our kids got their own king size beds and bathroom so mom and dad didn't hear any complaints. The pools were amazing, super clean and barely anyone in them most of the week. The ocean view is breathtaking, especially the sunset. We spent a lot of time at Clarita's, the bar/restaurant you can walk to from the condo on the beach. Amazing pizza, of all things! I would highly recommend booking this condo for your vacation. You won't be disappointed. Thank you Stephanie and John for your hospitality. Wish I was still there!"

  • Beautiful Villa with Amazing Sunset Views

"My family of three stayed at Casa Antigua for a week, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is simply beautiful, and the views of the ocean and evening sunsets are breathtaking. We used the infinity pool everyday, and definitely enjoyed having central A/C throughout the house. It was also very nice knowing that the property came with 24-hour security. I would definitely recommend having a 4-wheel drive vehicle since the road up to the house is a very short, but steep dirt road. The villa's location is also great, with several beaches and three grocery stores within a short 15-minute drive. Food in Costa Rica was surprisingly expensive, so it was nice to be able to save a little money by preparing and eating some meals at the house."

  • Clean, safe, beautiful location, but not quite as advertised

"We were really excited to stay at this Playa Hermosa Bungalow. While the place was clean and the location was beautiful there were some key things that were not as described. First of all, no drinking water was provided. This was a real bummer, as we had just flown overnight and driven from SJO and wanted to relax on the front porch with a nice cup of water. We ended up taking one of the empty 5 gallon jugs to Mas X Menos and getting it filled. I let the owner know and she made no apologies or effort to reimburse us. There is no telescope, nor long distance phone calls or a helpful property manager who will assist you with tours. For some reason, the maid did not fully make the beds, so we were without a blanket for one of them. Aaron did provide us with one of his, but it was not clean, but we made do. We did not feel comfortable asking him for anything after that point-- there was a certain vibe to him that made you feel as if you shouldn't bother him. I did let the owner know about the telescope and phone calls and she basically played ignorant. Had we known that some of the descriptive items were not available, nor accurate, we probably would not have gone with this house, as these were selling points for us. Some of other property managers were much more interactive and friendly. I would suggest renting a bungalow from them if you want to be able to feel comfortable asking questions about what to do in the area and where to go. Besides all of the "surprises" we really did enjoy a peaceful vacation. We spent a lot of the time on the front porch. There is a nice ocean view. On the back porch we spent time looking at all the birds and animal visitors. We did get to see the monkeys. We lounged in the pool and the hammocks and felt quite relaxed. Victor, the fisherman, came by our place and had delicious catches. A walk along the beach to some of the restaurants was a fun time. The Backyard has a nice happy hour going on. The Bluegrass Cafe had delicious cinnamon rolls. And, make sure you take a trip to the waterfalls: Tres Pascinas."
