"My wife and I arrived late Saturday night and much to our surprise, didn't get lost. We arrived at the Jardines del Pacifico and the guard was waiting for us with the keys and his assistance. When we arrived, the a/c was on (it was unseasonably warm while we were there), the house was clean and well appointed. We opted to sleep in the downstairs bedroom, but the upstairs loft would have been a great option as well(it was very roomy up there)! There are three a/c units which keeps the house nice and cool, but don't run them if you are not in the house as electricity is very expensive in Costa(unlike everything else)! The house has a washer and dryer which is very important to us as we love our clean laundry. The home owners assoc. pool is awesome(the pictures on the vrbo website don't do it justice). The neighbors and guard were very friendly and helpful, especially Greg and Arlene (the property managers) and Oscar (the gate guard during the day).
We awoke Sunday morning to the sounds of singing birds serenading us. We went down to Playa Bejuco (the name of the "town" as well as the local beach). It's a short walk and even a shorter drive and, much to our surprise was practically deserted, as it was every time we went. We saw flocks of wild scarlet macaws, the water was very warm and pretty rough (be careful), but still enjoyed playing in it daily! There is a restaurant called Sunsets on the road to the beach which was our favorite! Maria, Carlos and Jason treated us like kings and the had Jagermeister!!
My wife gets very animal deprived when we go on vacation, but the resident iguanas filled that void as she would feed them fruit every day! We went shopping in Jaco, the sleepy surf town 20 minutes north twice. Parrita, another decent sized town, is 20 minutes south. We took Rafa the monkey man's mangrove tour where we feed monkeys bananas, which was super entertaining. We swam at Tres Picinas (3 pools) and the hike and cliff jumping was incredible. I'd recommend a guide as it is little hard to find. We also made it to manual Antonio which is a beautiful beach/park town with lots of restaurants and shops for your enjoyment. One thing we missed out on was stopping to see the crocs at the torcales bridge. You drive over it coming and going, so definitely take the time. All in all, a fantastic trip/home/ area I would recommend to anyone!"

"Stayed for a week with 5 friends. Couldn't ask for more beautiful views! The house is lovely - the photos do not do it justice - but we spent almost every waking moment outside. The area is definitely worth the drive from the airport, with tons to explore nearby, and the pool was perfect for afternoons hanging out at the house! The spacious property is great for a big group, giving everyone room to do their own thing if desired. Definitely recommend!!"

"Our group of 16 friends stayed at Blue Macaw a few weeks ago for a bachelor party trip and loved everything about this place. The layout and grounds were perfect, the beachfront access was great, the pool is huge, and the service from the Jaco VIP staff went far beyond our expectations. We never had any problems partying hard and loud or just relaxing and recovering. Privacy was a big concern for us when we booked this and we had plenty of it the whole time we were there. It is very close to the center of Jaco and all the action and party scene. A little too far too walk to town, but a real fast and real cheap taxi ride in either direction. You couldn't ask for a better location, right on the beach, private and secure, and close to everything fun."

"We loved this place. It's at the quieter end of the beach but walking distance to all the restaurants and shops. Plus I think the beach is better at this end, nice and sandy whereas closer towards Jaco it gets a bit rougher, more gravel. The apartment was very nice, big balcony. It has everything you need for a great vacation."
