"Clinton, you are the best host ever also. We loved every minute in your home & didn't really even need to go anywhere to have the best vacation. It was ALL right there at our fingertips! The coffee you so generously provided was amazing as well. When we did venture out we began to fall in live with ALL of Costa Rica but were always so excited to come back to Casa Antigua. Anyone looking for the most incredible place to stay should look no further than this house. This was a girlfriend trip & we try to go somewhere new every year, but Costa Rica & Casa Antigua is a pace we will come back to within 2 years...no doubt. Thanks again Clinton for all the extras you did to make this the perfect trip. Trish & Deb"

"We must echo the positive reviews of those who have come before. "Heliconia" casita is easily accessed from the coastal highway (4x4 vehicle best) and perfectly located to take advantage of the the fine restaurants of Ojochal - the culinary capital of Costa Rica. It's a perfect mid-way point to day trip south to Sierpe and the Osa and north to Manuel Antonio and points in between. Our hosts, Laurice and Dennis, took us on an orientation tour of the immediate area on arrival which opened up all sorts of possibilities for exploration during our week's stay.
The house is comfortable and the kitchen well equipped for simple meal preparation. We enjoyed sitting on our patio in the evening watching darkness descend on our mountain view and awaiting the cooling evening offshore breeze to take away the heat of the day.
We fell into a rhythm of exploring the area in the morning (Sierpe is a must) and enjoying the glorious saltwater pool and fabulous gardens in the heat of the afternoon. The "sails" above and around the pool assured shade was always possible.
Although the casita sits on the same gloriously landscaped lot as the owners' home, our privacy was never compromised. The casita is physically set apart. Laurice and Dennis are very conscious of respecting personal space, but make themselves available to answer any questions and offer advice. When we did come together. we throughly enjoyed our conversations, particularly about the history of Ojochal. Learning about the development of this unique village is a Costa Rican exploration in and of itself."

"Casa Toucan is located in a beautiful canopy. The Toucans flying around, in the morning awakened with the Howler monkeys sounding like King Kong. They were swinging from branch to branch, eating along their way! New experience!!! The lizards in the house were cute chasing the insects on the ceiling. Speaking of insects, there were no mosquitoes, amazing! We had a visit from a hummingbird in the living room. We gently removed him, it chirped when released. I think it was a thank you!!! The layout of the house is spacious and comfortable. The pool was great, fairly hidden from the neighboring house. Since it was warm, it was perfect to jump in at all hours of the day or night! Everything was just perfect. The experience was fabulous, definitely a different type of vacation which I would repeat in a heartbeat."

"We just returned from two weeks at Casa Sunset. Matapalo is a great location if you enjoy being away from the crowds. Just to the north and south are two larger towns, Quepos and Dominical, with all of their amenities, each close to a National Park. It was easy to travel either direction and nice to "come home" to your own bit of paradise. Casa Sunset has spectacular views of the ocean and sunsets to die for. Yes, you do have to travel up a steep road to get there. Along that very road we saw Capuchin monkeys and the large trees at the house attract many birds. We saw parrots, toucans, laughing falcons and many other small colorful birds while sitting on the patio. We saw sloths every day along the beach road in Matapalo. In other words, you don't have to travel far to see much of the amazing wildlife Costa Rica is famous for. The house has all you need, we cooked dinner for ourselves every night. My husband especially enjoyed grilling. As nice as the house is, you will find that you will spend most of your time in the outdoor space. Casa Sunset has a wonderful pool and patio. Some is undercover in case of the occasional shower. You can open the large french doors and have the wonderful indoor/outdoor living that Cost Rica's climate allows. Perfect!!!"
