  • Spectacular!

"Our villa was called a Buena Vista three bedroom villa. It definitely exceeded our expectation in every way. The view from our terrace was so spectacular, we often brought dinner in so we could enjoy the breathtaking sunset, ocean and mountain views. The house itself was perfect....beautifully decorated, incredibly comfortable and immaculate. We also enjoyed the Jacuzzi on the deck. The surfing instructors/lessons were amazing, even our 8yr.old was riding waves like a pro by the end of his lesson! As for our guide when we visited Manuel Antonio Nat'l Park- fabulous. The rafting tripi was fantastic, the guides were incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and fun!! Tulemars staff truly go above and beyond to make sure your guest's stay is unforgettable-thank you! We will most definitely be back!!"

  • Idyllic Spot for Family Vacation

"My husband and I couldn't have been any happier with our choice to secure Villa Mayana for our 1-week family vacation in August ‘14. Not only was it an idyllic spot for a restful yet adventurous week, but we also chose this home for the location of our intimate, family-only wedding. All 15 (11 adults & 4 kids, 2-12) fit very comfortably between both wings of the house and had an unreal week. I'll start by saying we were a bit nervous picking a place we had not seen first for the spot of our wedding, but the photos really do a great job depicting reality-in fact, I don't think they do it justice! We were fortunate to see the property during our 1 planning trip in May and were blown away. We were also a bit nervous about the in-country flights and chose to do 1-way driving and 1-way flying during our initial visit. We think flying to/from Quepos is the way to go! Ana, the house manager, who also doubled as our wedding planner, was nothing short of amazing. She planned all of our activities from zip-lining to white-water rafting to the hike around the private reserve, in addition to coordinating both a masseuse and a yoga instructor to come to the house. She connected us with Citrus for our rehearsal dinner and Bamboo Taco Truck for a beach day with tacos! She was always available to us-both before and while we were there. Ana was incredibly resourceful and organized when it came to the wedding. Message me if you want a full planning review. Roberto, the chef, was so accommodating when it came to different diets and food requests. Every meal was delicious! He's got a great personality and we really felt like he was part of the group by the end of the week. Adolfo, Roberto's assistant, was wonderfully hospitable. There is an awesomely oversized wood table, which allowed the entire family to eat together for every meal. This was one of our favorite things about the house. Nelson, the gardener who doubled as our hiking guide, was so helpful the entire week both around the house in the rare case something needed to be fixed and during the wedding day. He was super patient with us during the hike too! The cleaning staff was on point and always had a friendly smile around. We echo the prior reviews-this will be a dream vacation. We feel lucky the owner, Rick, built this stunning property and opened it up to us for such an important time in our lives. We would not have changed a thing-it was stress-free and perfect! Happy to be contacted with questions."

  • Perfect spot for a relaxing beach vacation!

"Casa Miramar was the perfect place to kick off our honeymoon! We spent a week there relaxing, recharging and enjoying all of the beautiful sights in the Dominical area. The house itself is the perfect place to relax, we spent many hours sitting on the deck watching the ocean and enjoying meals and snacks that we prepared using the fully stocked kitchen. A few other things that were great about the place - it was spotlessly cleaned prior to our arrival, the decorations were lovely so we really enjoyed the space and the curtains are nice and dark so you can really block out the early morning light if you want to sleep in (which we did!). The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to prepare meals and there is a washer and dryer for sandy beach towels. The house is set up on a hill which gives you a feeling of total privacy, but it's not so far up the hill that you feel isolated or that it is inconvenient. There is a really useful house handbook that we referred to in planning our daily activities - the handbook has information from the house owners and reviews from previous guests. There were only 2 of us, but the house would also be great for 4 as there is another very private suite downstairs with a private bathroom. We spent one night in a local hotel and can say that aside from all the other great points about this house, it is a great value. Super clean, comfortable and equipped with modern amenities at a much lower price than local hotels offering similar amenities. I could go on and on about how wonderful the house is - highly highly recommend this place."

  • Absolutely loved it

"This is a beautiful home in a great location in Manual Antonio. It's super clean and has a fully stocked kitchen (not like some vrbo's that say "fully stocked" & then you get one old pot and one pan etc., this kitchen has items like a salad spinner and roasting pan & tons of plate & glass ware). The owners live on site and made excellent recommendations for dinner & the best place to watch the sunset. We were able to walk to restaurants and went for morning jogs right outside the gate and on the beach. You have access to a gorgeous private beach, we only saw 3 people the whole time we were there. We visited the national park while there and saw more animals at the house then we did at the park! Wish we were there longer, in just a short stay we saw sloth, a toucan and fed monkeys right from the veranda. Hope to be back soon! Thanks Ken & Kim."
