  • Beautiful setting, wildlife galore!

"Beautiful secluded setting with capuchin monkeys, toucans, macaws and all sorts of other birds and interesting wildlife. Killer view of the ocean and beautiful sunsets. Everything pretty much as promised. Only reservations preventing a 5 star rating were: all except for approx 36 hours of our 10 day stay we were without internet, and were on a constant back and forth between us, property manager and internet tech via brief email opportunities from internet hot spots in the village trying to have the issue resolved; no sharp knives or a can opener that worked. Other than that, Christine and Tom were polite & friendly hosts on the rare occaisions we were able to make contact : ) Overall yes, I would recommend Kasita Kristina Maria for those wanting the full Costa Rica experience."

  • Mac Daddy!

"WOW! The very first time I walked into this home, I got all choked up. The view is just remarkable. It has huge open spaces and some very cool furniture. The beds were really comfortable and the place just has a great feel. You are like up in the trees and looking over the coastline with the waves crashing. We had a great time out in the park and had a bar-b-que on our last night. The little private falls at the end of the road was like our own private swimming pool in the middle of the jungle. I love this place!!"

  • Chilling in the Jungle!!

"The house is fabulous, with wonderful inside/outside flow. Lots of windows and glass doors allows for easy viewing of the surrounding greenery. Decks are very inviting and covered, so you can sit out during the rain. Pool is more functional than it looks in pictures and the back drop of plants and waterfall is gorgeous. Tons of fans, both inside and out, keep the air moving. Super well equipped. Binders with info on the area. All makes this place very homey and comfortable, while feeling private and safe. The road up to the house is a classic 4x4 road and the driveway quite steep. But it is concrete and very doable. Walking the road was our daily, private jungle hike. Saw all kinds of animals. Did not see any snakes, but made sure to stay open roads/trails! Uvita is a great location to spend time and have a more "authentic" experience of Costa Rica. It is right between the central tourist areas to the north and the remoteness of the Osa. Very good amenities such as grocery stores and restaurants. And the jungle pretty much goes from the mountains to the beach, except in town. Which translates to wildlife everywhere. The beaches around Uvita are great for body surfing and boogie boarding. Not the huge waves and strong undertow of the more surfer-oriented beaches like Dominical, Playa Hermosa, Santa Teresa, etc. Our favorite was Playa Ballena that was accessed via the Marina Ballena Club. A great perk that comes with the house. Sitting where the jungle meets the beach, plenty of shade and wildlife bursting in the background. Totally awesome. Highly recommend. Wish we stayed there longer!"

  • Lovely yard and pool

"We stayed at the property for 4 nights in Jan 2015. The yard and pool are beautiful. The house was as described. We were disappointed that there was no BBQ as advertised. Air conditioning would be a nice addition as the house is quite warm at night. Jenny at Coyote Café was great, she provided much information about the area, she booked a tour for us and also arranged a taxi. She serves delicious watermelon drinks. We ate there one night and the food was good also."
