  • Beautiful, spacious. Paradise!

"5 of us, 3 older kids and 2 adults, spent the most fantastic vacation here last summer. We fell in love with Santa Teresa and hope to return as soon as possible. The beachfront home is absolutely stunning and the garden is gorgeous. We had more than enough space and wish we'd known just how spread out the house was, we could have brought another family with us and not felt cramped! We always felt safe and having a/c in our bedrooms meant we slept soundly and comfortably. The owner of the house is a smart, kind, honest person and his home reflects his personality."

  • beautiful jungle house with spectacular views!

"We were lucky to spend a few days in Bosque en el Cielo. Great spacious house. The master bedroom is surrounded by windows, with a great view. Very quiet and serene and full of light. Dominical is down the hill if you need to buy groceries or go to a restaurant or go to the beach. Otherwise it was nice to relax on the infinity pool or on the terrace listening to the birds and animals. The pics dont do justice to the real beauty of this property. Would love to rent it again in the future!"

"Had a great stay at Villa Bonita. The amenties, the house, the location, and the owner were just AWESOME. The town also had a great diversity of restaurants, which was great. I would definitely stay again at Villa Bonita."

  • Yerba Buena is a destination in itself!

"We were fortunate to meet owners Regina and Saul upon our check-in at this amazing property. They made us feel completely welcome and at home and our children were immediately drawn to them and their dog, Echo, as well as Max, the caretaker's dog. We had visited Monteverde before and knew of its amazing wildlife and serenity, but had a completely different experience this time because of Yerba Buena. The grounds are beautiful and have little trails and secret spots all around. When we sought a break from our sight-seeing, our kids loved running around the property. It is close to Stella's Bakery, Curi-Cancha Reserve, the cheese factory and delicious Tramonti Restaurant. Regina recommended an amazing guide, who took us on a day hike and a night hike. On our guided hikes saw many species of birds (including tucans and mot mots), as well as a sloth, porcupine, snakes, kinkajou, walking sticks, and much more. We drank our morning coffee and birded from the large picture window of cabin #1. The cabin's kitchen was the best equipped of any of our accommodations on our Costa Rica trip. We made breakfast every morning and two dinners in our four-night stay. Hernan is the on-site caretaker - he is so helpful and sweet. He even made walking sticks for our two kids! I am sure we will return to Monteverde one day, in which case we will surely hope to stay at this amazing home again."

Puntarenas Travel Tips

Puntarenas City Vacation Rentals in the Center of it All

Second in size only to San Jose, Puntarenas City is one of the largest cities in Costa Rica. While the city used to be one of the principal seaports for the country, Puntarenas City travel is popular for tourists, mostly because cruise ships traveling along the Pacific often use Puntarenas City as a stopover port. A tree-lined promenade near the beach, known as the Paseo de los Turistas, becomes a popular area for tourists to visit restaurants, cafes, discos and bars. While the murky water near Puntarenas City vacation rentals isn't the best for swimming, the beach is a great place to relax.

Puntarenas City Travel Steep in Costa Rican Culture

Puntarenas City travel during special festivals and carnivals can make your Costa Rican experience even more enjoyable. Even the locals make family traditions of traveling to Puntarenas City. The Casa de la Cultura offers plays and concerts during peak tourist seasons. A visit in November will allow you to participate in the Festejos Populares, an end of the year celebration. July brings the Fiesta del Virgin del Mar (Fiesta of the Virgin of the Sea), a festival including a habor parade of decorated boats, boat races, dancing and food. February and March are alive with the city's annual carnival. You can also enjoy the beautiful old structures within the city and a spectacular old church.

Puntarenas Beach Homes Near Several Destinations

Staying in Puntarenas beach homes puts you in a great starting location to travel to other areas of the Puntarenas providence. Several beaches are nearby to enjoy, including Playa Naranjo, Playa Mal país, San Lucas, Cedros and Jesuita. The Monteverde Cloud Forest, a lush rain forest with many available exploration activities to enjoy, is also close by. Several other national forest and wildlife refuges make up the Puntarenas region.
