  • Just as superb, if not better, in the off-season

"This is the place where I step-off the grid of big-city life and a stressful job. Santa Teresa. The White House is the perfect retreat to take a group of friends or family. Ladies on a trip can get their daily yoga in right next door at Pranamar or "sip in the sunset" poolside. Gents on a trip, can surf at one of the world's best beaches, a quick walk away at Hermosa. Take a fishing boat out for the day in nearby Mal Pais. Come back to the house and cook it up - the dining table seats 8-10. Not to mention, being an event planner by trade I have noted, the house is uniquely set-up perfectly to host a small to mid-size wedding or special event. The way the kitchen is designed, the entry, the view and the back lawn facing the ocean, suitable to bring in tables and seat away. Use the Master suite for the bride/groom + family and the two villas for the wedding party. If you need catering, there are many wonderful chefs in town. Ask Mario, the house manager for my specific recommendations. Then hire me as your event producer - as I will fly down from the states. I know all the locals and speak the language. ~your bon vivant."

  • Relaxing atmosphere, amazing views, super clean and reasonably priced

"My girlfriend and I stayed 6 nights here. It was amazing! We drove from Arenal, where we stayed for 3 nights. I'm so happy that we ended up here!!! This was just a totally different experience. This penthouse is nestled into the rain forest landscape, with a perfect view of the ocean and wildlife. Most days we spent a few hours down on their beautiful beach where we could get beers, rest and relax. There were only a few other families on the beach so it was peaceful and felt very private. We took a trail (part paved part unpaved) down to the beach on two separate days and saw monkeys, iguanas and lizards. We also saw all kinds of wildlife in the jungle right on the hotel's property. The hotel staff as well as the owner were very friendly and easy to deal with. The food at the hotel restaurant was quite good, but you're in walking distance to plenty of other restaurants, so your choices of eating out are very abundant. We toured the Manuel Antonio National Park one morning - walked to it - and had massages one afternoon on the beach. We often sat at the hotel restaurant bar (awesome views from it) and chatted with the restaurant staff and owner, who were all lovely. This restaurant is probably one of the best restaurants in all of Manuel Antonio. Also, you can't go back home without going in for a dip in the pool. It is very clean, picturesque and it has a jungle feel to it. We didn't hear any construction noise as another guest mentioned here. You won't regret staying here. Also, the price is more than reasonable for what you get. The whole place felt relaxed and beautifully maintained. There are white curtains on the porch that makes you feel you are in paradise. We would definitely go back. Thank you Marc for suggesting this wonderful property and for all your gracious support. Your price is more than reasonable given what you get for it."

  • Bliss in Santa Teresa

    scott n.

"Having rented homes in numerous parts of Costa Rica before we were looking forward to trying a new area. Santa Teresa is a delightful town and a wonderful place to hang out. Maison Marazul is everything it appears to be on the website. The home itself could not be nicer and indeed the photos do portray an honest reflection of what you get (and will love!). The owner/management team were very straightforward and easy to deal with in the curveballs at all from them and all payments/refunds etc were handled in an honest and efficient manner. In summary I would highly recommend this will not be disappointed."

  • Perfect spot for a relaxing beach vacation!

    Pamela R.

"Casa Miramar was the perfect place to kick off our honeymoon! We spent a week there relaxing, recharging and enjoying all of the beautiful sights in the Dominical area. The house itself is the perfect place to relax, we spent many hours sitting on the deck watching the ocean and enjoying meals and snacks that we prepared using the fully stocked kitchen. A few other things that were great about the place - it was spotlessly cleaned prior to our arrival, the decorations were lovely so we really enjoyed the space and the curtains are nice and dark so you can really block out the early morning light if you want to sleep in (which we did!). The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to prepare meals and there is a washer and dryer for sandy beach towels. The house is set up on a hill which gives you a feeling of total privacy, but it's not so far up the hill that you feel isolated or that it is inconvenient. There is a really useful house handbook that we referred to in planning our daily activities - the handbook has information from the house owners and reviews from previous guests. There were only 2 of us, but the house would also be great for 4 as there is another very private suite downstairs with a private bathroom. We spent one night in a local hotel and can say that aside from all the other great points about this house, it is a great value. Super clean, comfortable and equipped with modern amenities at a much lower price than local hotels offering similar amenities. I could go on and on about how wonderful the house is - highly highly recommend this place."
