  • Casa Namaste! Romantic and private retreat in lovely San Josecito

"My husband and I live in Dominical, Costa Rica and needed a place for a “stay-cation” when we had an overflow of visiting relatives in our own home. Casa Namaste was absolutely perfect for us – a true home away from home! Mercedes, daughter of the owner, greeted us warmly and then left us to ourselves, but always available if needed. The house is very private and enjoys a beautiful jungle and ocean view. It is beautifully decorated with artful objects from the owner’s extensive travels and cleverly designed to make the maximum use of space. Sliding glass doors and screens disappear into walls to create a gracious, chic and comfortable indoor-outdoor living space focused on the small, lagoon-like pool. The kitchen was well equipped and surprisingly well stocked. We never used the bedroom air conditioners because of the multiple ceiling fans and almost constant breezes passing through. We enjoyed the large flat screen TV and were able to stream Netflix with the fast wi-fi connection. We have stayed in many VRBO properties in Costa Rica and in other countries and feel that our stay in Casa Namaste was one of our best, most comfortable and relaxing ever. Kudo’s to Linn and Mercedes for what they have created and the grace with which they share it with others. We hope to see you again soon!"

  • Great Value

"This house was great for our needs. We had a one year old and a two year old and the house was great for us. We didn't utilize the lower portion of the house. If you do plan on using it, take note that it is completely separate from the top portion with its own entrance from outside. The view is unbeatable. Walking to the beach is possible, but it is a steep incline the whole way."

  • Just as Lovely as We Hoped

"We are a group of 5 adults who enjoyed this home/ammenities GREATLY. The pool/rancho area is beautiful - perfect as we spent most time out there. The bedrooms were comfortable, master ensuite very convenient. The kitchen was well stocked and laid out - the counter with stools was used daily as we would work as a group to get meals together. We walked A LOT during our week here which was fine for us. We used the grill, washer/dryer - all worked great. We were glad to be a little distance from the busy-ness of the main street. The kids enjoyed the iguanas that came to visit/roam through the yard, and I made friends with a neighbour cat. Vivian is an excellent resource - she answered all questions, had excellent recomendations and made me very comfortable. I highly recommend this property."

  • Paradise Found

"This property is stunning. We loved every minute of our week spent in the Villa Baha. My husband and two sons, ages 13 and 16, love to explore but we had to tear ourselves away from the splendours of the Villa. We enjoyed the pool immensely and the ping pong table provided us with lots of family fun. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook lovely gourmet meals, dining al fresco in candle light. We picked herbs, star fruit and lemons growing on the property. It was a real treat making fresh squeezed lemonade from fruit picked that day. Jose the gardener also cut down coconuts for us to enjoy. The beds were super comfy and the house is beautifully decorated. The new shower in the master bathroom is heavenly. The views, the gorgeous landscaping and the warm saltwater pool were the highlights for us. Waking up to the sounds of the tropics and being lulled to sleep by the jungle creatures was magical. The Villa is in a nice location. Only 15 mins to surfing in Dominical (we took lessons through Costa Rica Surf Camp) and 15 minutes in the opposite direction to the trailhead of Nayauca Falls. We opted to hike the trail (1.5 hours one way) rather than take a horseback riding tour and it worked out perfectly. We were still able to climb the falls, then jump off them with the guided tour. Swimming under the falls is a must. We also did a day trip to Manuel Antonio, hiring a guide at the park gates, then hanging out on the beaches and playing in the waves. There are lots of sodas, fruit stands and restaurants within a half hour of the Villa. It is definitely the kind of place where you can do as little or as much as you want. Amy was an excellent resource for our trip planning. Her willingness to share her knowledge of Costa Rica ensured that our first week prior to our arrival at the Villa Baha was outstanding. If you want an authentic Costa Rica experience, rent Villa Baha! You will get a taste of paradise and when you return home, you will start planning a return trip! Thank you Amy and Richard!"
