"My friend and I had a great stay in the Plaza Royal apartment. The place was clean and perfect for your stay of a couple of days or long term. The apartment is located above a cafe (we went each morning!), surf shop, massage/spa, and is located about a minute walk from the beach! There are multiple bars and restaurants, and a market nearby for all your food and sundry needs. We woke up to howler monkey's one morning! Being that Santa Teresa is a smaller town the main mode of transport is ATV or motorcycle, so being right on the main road it did get a little loud in the mornings with people heading to work/surf, but that was easy for us to look past with the level of service the owner provided and the amenities in close proximity. I would definitely stay here again on any return trip to the area. Nice, modern, convenient... and the owner/her son were excellent hosts!"

"I would not hesitate to recommend this house to anyone. My boyfriend and I spent one week here in February, we felt quite lucky to have such a large place to ourselves as it does sleep 8 very comfortably. Each room is its own contained unit making it great for 3-4 couples travelling together.
We chose to fly with Air Sansa from San Jose to Tambor where we met our taxi to Santa Teresa. This leg of trip in its self is an adventure. Our ATV's for the week were dropped off at the house upon our arrival and were picked up the day we left - our taxis, activities, dinner reservations & ATV's were all set up by the house manager who did a great job communicating with us and ensuring we were using the best companies. The sunsets and view alone from the pool were worth every penny. The road to the house is quite steep as mentioned and we were happy to have ATV's rather than a rental car.
- Tortuga island with Zumatours, we saw pilot whales, dolphins, blowfish and Macaws.
- The spa at Florblanca as well as the restaurant - we had lunch and dinner on the beach there *you can use there pool and beautiful beach area with bar service.
- ATV from house to Montezuma, don't miss the big Strangler Fir, monkeys or splashing through the rivers.
- Kojis has a nice dinner atmosphere and their sushi isn't too bad either, make a reservation.
***Lots of places are cash only and except US and Colones.
The rooms are simple and exactly what you need. Comfortable, clean queen beds. The caretakers are excellent and skim the pool each day as well as general tidy the house and garbages. Our laundry was even hanging out to dry when we got home most days. The kitchen, dining and living area is a great space too. Honey and Camilla are two canine frequent visitors, we loved having them stop by along with some horses, a bull frog, humming birds - lots of birds and lizards.
I'm sure anyone would love their time at this property. It's private yet close to everything you need."

"This is not your typical VRBO, in the sense that it comes with property managers who are very attentive to your needs at the house, and also are more than willing to act as your visitor's bureau, assisting you with any questions, reservations or recommendations on all things to do in the area. The house also has an onsite maintenance man and maid service. Everyone involved with this property is ultra-friendly and are very invested in the quality of your stay.
This house is all-encompasing to the Santa Teresa experience because some of the best stretch of beach is a 3 minute walk from the front door. It is close and easily accessible to shops and restaurants, so driving is not always necessary. There is no need to go to the wildlife preserve, because they come to you, howler monkeys, parakeets, iguanas (my daughter named them), assorted birds, crabs, etc. It should be noted this house is right next to the main drag, and most of the locals get around on motorcycles and ATVs. Despite it's location to the road, it still feels exclusive when you are onsite, although, you do get the noise from the road. However, that is ubiquitous to the Santa Teresa experience. The open floorpan to this house makes it great place to chill. One afternoon we decided not to go back to the beach, and the house was perfect for just hanging-out by the pool, and laying in the hammocks. The house is also very safe and secure. We slept every night with the doors wide open, and just listened to sounds of the rainforest. If you are planning a trip to Santa Teresa, I highly recommend this house."

"What struck us most was the extent to which every detail was attended to and every effort made to make us feel completely at home!
Greg and his staff (and yes, including the ever adorable Luna) have thought of everything. Their hospitality, assistance and guidance, the conveniences that one would expect and the little details such as an intimate place to BBQ, a comfy hammock to relax in and even reading materials to share in a little makeshift library were all very much appreciated; this place really has it all!
We feel fortunate to have found this place and to have met Greg. During our stay in Santa Teresa, having this place to return to every evening truly felt like we were returning to our home away from home.
Pura Vida Greg!"
