  • Perfect family layout

"The house and property is set up so well for kids. We have 4 (6,5,3 and 20 months). Lots of private space for them to run and explore. In the first 2 days we saw from our backyard, a family of monkeys with their babies, several different iguanas, birds, geckos and tones of butterflies. The covered patio is awesome to escape the sun but still have lots of room to play. The pool is a safe distance from the house so we did not stress about our youngest falling in but close enough that when everyone was swimming/wearing water wings around the pool we could sit up on the deck and relax. We did 2 trips to the beach each day and the walk with 4 little ones was a breeze. The sunsets were amazing! My favourite part of the day was from 4-6 on the beach. The Mariposa staff was very attentive and any request we had they were on it immediately. Very friendly and hard working people. Thanks for all your help! We ate at Koji's which is mandatory and you will hear that from everyone! Habaneros was also good food, great (and only) spot on the beach and ideal for kids as their are tones of crabs after sunset."

  • Amazing Vacation - True Gem in Costa Rica

"My husband and I and our best friends and their family rented all 4 villas. My husband and I stayed in Villa 2. It was so beautiful. Big kitchen, beautiful bedrooms, just amazing. We were greeted each day with a warm smile by Maria and received fresh flowers daily. Richard was amazing, we can't say enough about him. He helped us with all of our transportation and excursions (fishing, canopy tour, horseback riding, massage, etc.). Whatever we needed, Richard & Maria were there with their warm smiles and truly genuine hospitality. The Rocamar Beach Lounge is a true gem. Great people, good chill vibe, amazing food and beautiful sunsets each night. Great place to just kick back and lounge around. We couldn't have asked for more. The Villas are beautiful whether you are walking out and going into the pool to cool off or relaxing in the hammock or on the couch...it just doesn't get any better. Thank you to everyone at the Villas Santa Teresa for all that you did to make our stay so wonderful."

  • Awesome Place, totally recommend!

"Villas Solar exceeded our expectations! We thought it looked nice from the photos and the owner Greg was great to work with, very helpful and responded quickly to emails, answering all sorts of questions we had. Once we arrived we were blown away by how helpful Greg was and how lovely and clean the property and unit was. Greg was there to meet us and gave us a great tour of the property and detailed instructions about our unit. It was apparent that there is a lot of pride in ownership with this property, it is very well taken care of. We felt very safe and very comfortable. My husband and I traveled to Santa Teresa with our three year old and eleven month old and we were a little nervous about the unit and property being kid friendly. Our kids had a blast! We stayed in the two bedroom and it was really spacious! Way bigger than we expected it to be. It is so well maintained and very clean, we felt really good about letting our kids crawl around on the floor to play. It is located right on the main road that runs through Santa Teresa and is right across the street from a beautiful beach. We were easily able to walk to restaurants and the market. We rented ATV's and cruised around town on those and there was plenty of room to securely park within the gated property. There is a great juice/smoothie/sandwich shop and surf shop with rentals and supplies directly below the unit which was really convenient. The kitchen in the unit is fully equipped with a fridge and stove so we were easily able to cook meals at home. One other thing we were really impressed with was the construction of the buildings. We stayed in the duplex and that place is totally sound proof. We never once heard a peep from our neighbors or anything from the shops below. It was very private. The deck out front is amazing for eating, laying in the hammock and watching monkeys in the trees. We loved our stay and would recommend this property to anyone. Greg was amazing, so professional, and made us feel like we had a close friend in town. Can't say enough good things."

  • Beautiful, spacious. Paradise!

"5 of us, 3 older kids and 2 adults, spent the most fantastic vacation here last summer. We fell in love with Santa Teresa and hope to return as soon as possible. The beachfront home is absolutely stunning and the garden is gorgeous. We had more than enough space and wish we'd known just how spread out the house was, we could have brought another family with us and not felt cramped! We always felt safe and having a/c in our bedrooms meant we slept soundly and comfortably. The owner of the house is a smart, kind, honest person and his home reflects his personality."
