"We were so glad to arrive and find this house to be everything it claimed to be. The property is in a good location, maybe a bit too far to walk to town for some, but doable if you like walking. It's a short drive though and easy to get back and forth.
The house is new, modern, clean and well equipped. The owners are very good communicators as is their support family that lives in an adjoining part of the house. We had wonderful surprises like a plate of papaya picked right from a tree by our door and a delicious desert delivered as a surprise treat one night. You won't be disappointed with the property itself.
As far as others who have mentioned the winds and in particular this location we are very sorry to have not taken them seriously enough. Yeah, a little wind, big deal. Well it's a big deal. It would be a great idea for the owners to put a kilo of ear plugs in a drawer for those who don't come prepared because the noise from the wind, it does howl, and the rattling of the windows and sliding doors makes it almost impossible to sleep. There are more sheltered places around Monteverde where the wind is not so noticeable, but this location is in an open field with no protection. Take heed and bring something to stuff in your ears. We took tour pamphlets and jammed them into the sliding door frame to reduce the rattling of a bedroom on the downward side of the wind direction which helped a little bit but nothing can reduce the howl of the wind streaming across the house. Maybe we were unlucky with the weather, but we asked and many said this was pretty typical winds for the area. The wind does not let up, and is at its strongest at night so be prepared.
Still a wonderful area to visit and we would go back as the house is truly a 5 star, but just a bit more prepared. Good value and caring owners were the key."

"We spent a month overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean. The villa was perfect, exactly as described.
The kitchen is well stocked with everything we needed. The beds were so comfortable, better than could have hoped for. The pool....heaven!!
The restaurants in the area were all fantastic, we loved every meal out. Our favorites, The Dome (uvita), Jolly Roger ( Dominical) and in Ojochal Mama e Papa's, Citrus, Coranado, and the Tilapia Farm. We stayed busy with so many excursions: Osa zip line, Cano island snorkeling, ATV ride, horseback ride to waterfalls, and snorkeling near The Whale's Tail....there is so much to or relaxing at the villa listening to the waves in the distance.
Kumari was so incredible, making sure our stay was perfect, she is one of those rare gems that always shines and makes those near feel warm and welcomed.
We are looking forward to our next trip to Costa Rica and would love to return to Jardin Del Pacifico!! Thank you so much for sharing your exquisite home with us!!"

"First, let me say that Peter and Diane, the owners are amazingly helpful and a true joy to be around. My boyfriend and I stayed in Casa Selva and we chatted with Diane and Peter every morning and even went out to eat together our last night there to a delicious Sushi restaurant about 15 minutes from the house. They supply you with a map of all great spots to hit while youre there (which was my boyfriend and I's main source of a map, thats how good!), all the brochures you could possibly need and are quite knowledgeable about the area for not being natives! The house was small, but everything 2 people could possibly need and more. The shower had an amazing view as well as the porch where we had morning coffee. I felt so safe in the house each night and leaving our stuff there every day. You truly get privacy, but company if you want it too whenever Peter and Diane are home hanging outside. We saw lots of howler monkeys, blue morphos, toucans and tons of other birds on their property alone! You do need a 4 wheel drive, but then again you need 4 wheel drive pretty much anywhere in Costa Rica. HIGHLY recommend staying here! So much better than any hotel!!!!!!!"

"Hello. I was part of the group from NY, GA, and CA that just ended their stay at Casa Fantástica. Amazing accommodations; the rooms were comfortable and the service was terrific. I especially want to extend my thanks to Chef Stephane de Pascali and sous chef Jimmy Dlarr. Every meal they prepared was better than the one before. And, to concierge Ricky, who attended to every detail of our requests with patience and finesse. These three individuals are essential elements of the experience and you would do well to do whatever is necessary to keep them in your employ.
Thank you for being part of a wonderful vacation week and helping to make the celebration of our friend Zanne’s 50-year milestone that much more memorable.
