  • Perfect Costa Rica vacation!

"Our trip to Costa Rica was fantastic! The condo and property exceeded all of our expectations. We spent each evening in the beautiful pool just beyond the patio area of the condominium. The property is centrally located which made it very convenient for all our daily excursions (ziplining, horseback riding, sailboating, golfing, beach combing, sightseeing, etc.) and there are excellent restaurants located at Los Suenos as well as the nearby town of Jaco. It was a dream come true vacation!!"

  • Rejuvenating stay in paradise

"We stayed in Pelican house for 6 nights and could have stayed 6 weeks! The location is beyond spectacular. It feels remote and yet it is close enough to town to get groceries and have dinner (ceviche at Marisqueria Corcovado was a favorite!). The beach is almost always deserted, the water 80+ degrees and the sand incredibly soft. The house is well appointed with a comfortable bed, amazing outdoor shower, and well stocked kitchen. Rafa, the property caretaker, made our stay particularly unique and memorable. He, his wife and daughter, are incredibly warm and welcoming. We enjoyed so many laughs with him and he is truly knowledgeable about the local area, plants and wildlife. If you speak Spanish and want to go for a local hike, Rafa is an amazing guide. He has an uncanny ability to spot birds, monkeys and other critters way up in the canopy. Although he will decline any money, add it to his tip at the end as he is not otherwise paid for being a guide for the guests--we were happy to be able to support a local family, especially one we had gotten to know so well! If you can pry yourself from the hammock, explore the local dirt roads and beaches. Some of the bridges (particularly the first one coming from Puerto Jimenez) are a bit scary--the railings have been stolen and the bridge is the width of the car---but you'll get used to it and it adds to the adventure:) The surrounding area is incredible with lush jungle and beautiful farms. If you don't venture off the property, you are still guaranteed to see a ton of wildlife---I even saw a Jaguarundi while sitting on the deck--amazing! Thanks Allison for being so easy to work with and for sharing your amazing piece of paradise! We hope to return!"

  • Paradise in Puntarenas!

"I had the pleasure of staying at Oceano and I must say it was the perfect getaway! Backing onto the beach with private access the palm tree covered property is quite stunning and situated in a great location. Whether you want to spend time at the beach catching the sunrise/sunset (which are next to none) or at the pool, both options are fully at your disposal. They also offer a great outdoor covered area with BBQ, making it a perfect spot to spend time with friends and family. Owners Rupi and Karin are great people, very accommodating and knowledgeable of the surrounding area. The caretakers Ronald and Bernie are super friendly and keep everything in great shape; rooms and property are always clean, with laundry and meal options available at your disposal. With Puntarenas being a cruise ship destination there are many day trips and overnight adventures that one can choose if they wish; hot springs surrounding the Arenal Volcano and zip lining through the mountains at Miramar just to name a few. Overall my experience in Costa Rica was next to none, and staying at Oceano was the perfect choice! Thanks to Rupi and Karin for providing the perfect place! Michael"

  • Where the jungle meets the ocean. A great place to experience the best of Costa Rica

"Just a few miles on a country road away from the charming little beach town of Montezuma lies a crossroads called Cabuya, and there you will find the sweetest little property sitting right on the ocean with a sunlit jungle canopy above it that you will love almost as much as the monkeys do. At dawn you'll hear surf and roosters and sometimes howler monkeys who will lift even teenagers out of their comfy beds to watch them cross over the canopy above, playing and eating and grooming one another as they go. On another day we saw a large family of white faced monkeys who were much cuter and quieter, with babies on their backs. They would drop down to where our daughters had placed pieces of banana in the low bushes so we could see them up close. There were local fishermen with fresh caught mahi mahi for sale. The town of Montezuma had some great little restaurants. If I could close my eyes and be back there I would do it in a heart beat. Oh and the house was nice too."
