"If you're looking for that special place that makes you truly feel like you're a part of the Costa Rican landscape, then look no further than Casa Mas Mananas! The property sits high above the beautiful Pacific Ocean with endless views. It's fairly secluded, so offers you plenty of privacy while having easy access to the beach and resort below. The house is well appointed with beautiful wood furnishings perfect for relaxing while soaking in all the nearby sights and sounds! The kitchen is large and to modern standards and has a large island with additional seating for dining. We cooked most of our meals at the house and grilled using the bbq on the pool deck. We also spent several days of our holiday simply enjoying the house and large infinity pool which overlooks the ocean. Despite temperatures reaching 100 degrees F, the cool ocean breeze and ceiling fans were plenty to keep you cool, and all the bedrooms came with AC units. I read several comments about the wifi issues and lack of television, but honestly, we had no issues sharing wifi on our phones and other devices....and why would you want to watch television in the middle of paradise? I didn't miss it one bit! For as beautiful and tranquil as the property is, our holiday wouldn't have been complete without the attention of the property manager, Javier. From the moment that Javier gave us a tour of the property, to our many tours booked with him, and to sharing a few wonderful meals, Javier was simply the best! I've been lucky enough to travel the globe with work and stay in some of the nicest hotels, and Javier would rival any concierge you would find in a five-star property! He was simply a phone call away if and when we needed recommendations or assistance. His island hopping, ATV, and zip lining tours were truly a highlight of our trip. My parents, who had never traveled outside the US, were so appreciative of Javier's friendly spirit and calming nature. Our airline had lost some of our luggage, and Javier graciously acted as our main point of local contact to sort it all out. He even contacted a friend who opened up her clothing shop so we could replace some of our lost items. Javier seemed more like a member of our family, then he did the propert manager. So if you're lookkng for a stunning property that feels like it's away from it all, you have found it! My family and I are already discussing our return trip to Costa Rica and Casa Mas Mananas! Pura Vida!"

  • Vistas Infinitas . . . Say's it All!

"Upon our late arrival, we were greeted with a big smiling welcome from Nickie (house manager), who showed us around your beautiful home! It was more magnificent than depicted on the website, extremely well appointed, kitchen fully equipped and comfortable beds! Every detail thought of, the fans, lighting, books, etc. The landscaping around the home was full of tropical foliage with landscape lighting at night actuating the lipstick palms to bougainvillea framing in the view of the Pacific Ocean from the porch! My wife and I celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary with another couple and your home provided the perfect setting! Each morning began with gazing at the ocean as the sun rose revealing the colors of the flora of the surrounding mountains . . . after breakfast we explored the country, Quepos Fiera (Saturday), Hacienda Baru (nature trail and zip line), Manuel Antonio, the Organic Fiera in San Isidro (Tuesday's), and afternoon's in the pool (very private), until the rains refreshed earth, then the sunsets, what more can I say! We had visits from Toucan's, Humming Bird's and the resident frogs, a real treat! Showering using the outdoor shower, before dinner each night was Pura Vita with orchids peeping over the rail and the mountain side was the shower curtain! The broad selection of reference books gave insight to the birds, animals and culture of Costa Rica! We were so into the outside world that we didn't turn on the satellite TV at all. WiFi handled data transfer with no problem, and annoying bugs were virtually non existent at that altitude. 4x4 recommended, drive slow and look for wildlife! Nickie was a great help and wonderful to share when, where and what about Costa Rica . . . Perfect pick for us, thank you for sharing your home!"

  • Beautiful

"Casa Toucan is located in a beautiful canopy. The Toucans flying around, in the morning awakened with the Howler monkeys sounding like King Kong. They were swinging from branch to branch, eating along their way! New experience!!! The lizards in the house were cute chasing the insects on the ceiling. Speaking of insects, there were no mosquitoes, amazing! We had a visit from a hummingbird in the living room. We gently removed him, it chirped when released. I think it was a thank you!!! The layout of the house is spacious and comfortable. The pool was great, fairly hidden from the neighboring house. Since it was warm, it was perfect to jump in at all hours of the day or night! Everything was just perfect. The experience was fabulous, definitely a different type of vacation which I would repeat in a heartbeat."

  • Little Bit of Heaven

"What a wonderful place. This place exceeded my expectation. When you arrive at Los Suenos it is like going into a beautiful sanctuary. The people at Stay in Costa Rica reception were wonderful.Anytime I would call they would take care of the problem within minutes. The condo was clean and very comfortable, perfect for two people. We made use of the lovely private pool behind our unit, most days we had the pool to ourselves.I rented a golf cart for the first week and we were able to explore the complex and check out the restaurants and the marina.I did 2 sailfish trips that were fun. It is a little tough to get on a trip if you are single.I suggest you go down to the charter dock and talk to the captains and ask if they have any charters that may accept another person. It worked for me as I didn't want to pay $1500 for the whole boat.Sandy in the charter office hooked me up on the first trip which was fair. The second trip I worked myself by talking to the captain Mike of the charter boat EPIC, he had one guy for the next day that he contacted and I and a third person shared the expense. The Epic Is a nice fast 32' L&H. Mike went 40 miles, twice the distance of the first charter and we caught 21 sailfish and lost another dozen. You can't ask for better than that. As far as the tours go,we did Manuel Antonio which was interesting. The catamaran trip to Tortuga was fun. We rented a car and decided to to go to Nauyaca falls which Nicole recommended. If you do this trip I suggest you arrange to go on horseback. The dirt road is very steep and really requires a 4 wheel. I was hesitant with the toyota rental car,but only bottomed out coming back up the steep slope.I recommend going on horseback as you need to walk about 4 K up hill to the falls. You would be better off during the rainy season also. As far as the dining goes,we cooked breakfast and used the grill by the pool. We did go to the Italian restaurant which was good.Gallion's I thought was a rip off $65 for spiny lobster and one was spoiled. They did take it off the bill and offered us desert on the house.Good restaurants in Jaco much more affordable like Poseidon, Lemon Zest and Grafitti. If you are adventurous you can take the local bus to Jaco from the supermarket at the light by the main road for less than $1. John, the owner of the unit was great to deal with and I would highly recommend staying in this unit."
