"Casa Miramar was the perfect place to kick off our honeymoon! We spent a week there relaxing, recharging and enjoying all of the beautiful sights in the Dominical area.
The house itself is the perfect place to relax, we spent many hours sitting on the deck watching the ocean and enjoying meals and snacks that we prepared using the fully stocked kitchen. A few other things that were great about the place - it was spotlessly cleaned prior to our arrival, the decorations were lovely so we really enjoyed the space and the curtains are nice and dark so you can really block out the early morning light if you want to sleep in (which we did!). The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to prepare meals and there is a washer and dryer for sandy beach towels. The house is set up on a hill which gives you a feeling of total privacy, but it's not so far up the hill that you feel isolated or that it is inconvenient.
There is a really useful house handbook that we referred to in planning our daily activities - the handbook has information from the house owners and reviews from previous guests. There were only 2 of us, but the house would also be great for 4 as there is another very private suite downstairs with a private bathroom.
We spent one night in a local hotel and can say that aside from all the other great points about this house, it is a great value. Super clean, comfortable and equipped with modern amenities at a much lower price than local hotels offering similar amenities. I could go on and on about how wonderful the house is - highly highly recommend this place."

"If you want to go to paradise and depart with a longing to stay knowing you will have a transformative experience this is where you need to go. My wife and I are nature enthusiasts and like to be around people that have a similar "warm and fuzzy" side particularly if it is genuine and sincere. This place gets into your blood immediately upon arrival. From those born to Costa Rica to those who have become expat's the experience is uniformly gracious, caring and service oriented. Our hostess, the great and wonderful Ashley, anticipated our concerns and truly went the extra mile seemingly what she just does naturally. She even arranged a chef on our last evening for an 'in bungalow' feast that rivaled the excellent on site and area restaurants. Chris (the chef) is beyond description. He is personable, a great food educator with world experience, who felt like a natural member of the family as he did on site creations we have not seen. Chris, the eggs diablo were like nothing I have ever partaken! I didn't know you could do that with anchovies! The most disappointing part of Casa Del Mar was leaving. Colleen and I are both psychiatrists and we can find no better antidepressant than the PEOPLE and resort of Casa Del Mar!!!
Thank you and Bless You, Ashley, Chris and Dave (and David, our beach concierge, who never played Bocce Ball but is a natural!). We'll be back!!!"

"As I sit here looking out the window on this cold, rainy day I am dreaming of the week I just spent at Casa Carolina. An oasis that overlooks the Manuel Antonio National Park and Pacific Ocean, this property offers a wonderful place to get away. I can not say enough about the staff. There was not one request we had that they could not fulfill. From arranging adventure tours to keeping the home spotless to making the best ceviche I have ever eaten, Willie,Lisabeth and Saul did it all and always with a smile.
Casa Carolina has a central location with quick access to the marina for fishing, the beach for sunning and swimming and downtown Quepos for shopping. We also enjoyed delicious meals at nearby restaurants and spa treatments at an upscale hotel. Even with all the activities we did partake in, we found our favorite times were watching the sunset while sitting poolside at Casa Carolina."

"I stayed in La Paloma Blanca for four weeks with my husband and my brother and his wife.
I can still hear the crushing waves and feel the breeze from the ocean. We watched the sunset from our rocking
chairs and the terrace, sometimes we fell asleep, feeling so relaxed.
We had the windows and doors opened all the time, even at night and felt 100% safe.
We hardly used the air conditioners in the bedrooms, the fans were enough.
The airport driver recommended by the owner was great, friendly and dependable.
He emailed us about the scheduled drives.
The Management was excellent. Our needs were dealt with right away.
We missed having a dishwasher, but the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking.
We played tennis at the Morgan Cove Hotel which is a short walking distance. After tennis we walked to many restaurant for nice cold beer and lunch.
Then we went to Mas X Menos Supermarket for groceries and took cheap taxi back to La Paloma Blanca.
We ate fish bought at the Fish Store or at the reastaurant.
On Fridays there is a Pot Luck in the evening and we couldn't believe how many Canadians we met.
We are from Ontario and they had the coldest February in history.
We sure chose a good month to stay in friendly and sunny Jaco Beach.
We are hoping to return soon."
