Beautiful property - more spectacular than the pho
"My family spent 5 glorious days in this villa. We loved every part of it - from the magnificent views to the wonderful décor. Everything in the house is of a very high quality and very comfortable. Even though there is another house very close by, the design of the villa is very clever and one feels private all the time. I enjoyed getting up early in the morning and watching the sun rise and the birdlife begin. Although we did not see monkeys we heard them! Its a steep drive up - so be sure to get a 4-wheel drive - but its pretty close to Uvita and a good supermarket. We enjoyed the dinner prepared by chef Gustavo - excellent food and service and actually contracted him for another evening. I can't recommend the house high enough! We felt well looked after and when the internet was problematic had numbers we could call to help us sort it out. I can't recommend the house highly enough!"

An Intimate and Memorable Experience with the Real Costa Rica
"We were looking forward to returning to the Uvita area again this year after visiting just south of there for a shorter time last year. So we booked 2 weeks at this wonderful home. If you want to get close to what Costa Rica is really like, the nature, the ocean views and sunsets, then this is a perfect spot to spend your time. The owners have left the property so very well equipped and there was nothing we could not find when needed over the 2 week period. The view from the patio is as good as anything we have ever seen and the daily visit by Toucans, Hummingbirds and many other colorful birds we can't name was thoroughly enjoyed.
The house opens up into an indoor/outdoor structure that really makes you feel like you are in touch with your surroundings and the property itself is planted and maintained like a garden with a beautiful variety of local plants. You can tell the owners put so much into their design concepts when building this home and it is modern, comfortable and everything works perfectly.
The area offers so much to do. Our highlights were the local beaches, waterfalls, walking the Whale Tail, multiple area farmer's markets and the trip to Cano Island Preserve for Snorkeling and lunch. The trip down the Sierpe River was hard to beat but the snorkeling was surprisingly good and topped off with a visit by a sea turtle as we wound up the day.
Yes the road is a challenge that takes a couple of trips to get used to but with a 4x4 SUV you will soon find it to be nothing difficult to manage if you are at all comfortable off blacktop. Highly recommended and promises to be a very unique and memorable Costa Rican experience."

"Stayed for a week at the casita. Beautiful views of the pacific. ALthough it was about 7-8 min up the mountain from the highway it was well worth it each time we drive back to the cabin. Coming from Florida and being our first time in costa rica it was an experience we will never forget. The area was remote yet close enough to two larger sized grocery stores all within a 10-15 minute drive. The beach, the same distance. I'm already thinking about buying property in uVita. Thanks Kathy Tyler and Ines"

"If you're looking for privacy, with a stunning view, beautiful accommodations and easy access to nearby amenities, this is the place for you. My husband and I traveled to Lattice House for a week's stay with our teenage son and a friend of his. We arrived to a lovely meal prepared by Alexandra. We were also greeted by Ana, the uber competent property manager. Any requests for assistance on excursions or questions about the house were handled by her promptly and cheerfully.
The house and view were even better than pictured in the listing. The main living area has a very open feel, with no screens and because of the lovely light breezes, we were never once bothered by biting bugs. I was very concerned about this because I am usually the target of "no-seeum" bugs while on tropical vacations. No need to worry about that here.
The first day, we walked to the waterfall on the property.... and we all work out quite a bit...it still took some effort to get there and back but it was worth it.
We could not get enough of the pool with the truly amazing views. I also spent some quality time in the soak tub off the master bedroom at sunset, which I highly recommend. I made a sound recording of the waves crashing and the jungle noises so I can always remember the experience. It was so relaxing after a day of...relaxing.
I stay at a lot of very fine VRBO homes for vacation and have had great experiences. What put this one over the top for me was how we could have such privacy in a beautiful, popular location and have someone like Ana who knows all the ins and outs of the area to assist with anything you need.
Booking the property with Patricia, the owner was a breeze and we got our deposit back immediately upon our arrival home. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home, Patricia. You have outstanding taste in vacation homes!
I highly recommend this property to people who want to experience the unspoiled beauty of the Costa Rican coast. We will be back!"
