  • Beautiful Tropical Home

"We made a great choice by staying with Dale in her beautiful home in Uvita. The main house is lovely, and our accommodations were great. We especially appreciated the recommendations for restsurants and things to do in the area. We would definitely recommend this home as a great place to stay in the Uvita area."

  • Idyllic Spot for Family Vacation

"My husband and I couldn't have been any happier with our choice to secure Villa Mayana for our 1-week family vacation in August ‘14. Not only was it an idyllic spot for a restful yet adventurous week, but we also chose this home for the location of our intimate, family-only wedding. All 15 (11 adults & 4 kids, 2-12) fit very comfortably between both wings of the house and had an unreal week. I'll start by saying we were a bit nervous picking a place we had not seen first for the spot of our wedding, but the photos really do a great job depicting reality-in fact, I don't think they do it justice! We were fortunate to see the property during our 1 planning trip in May and were blown away. We were also a bit nervous about the in-country flights and chose to do 1-way driving and 1-way flying during our initial visit. We think flying to/from Quepos is the way to go! Ana, the house manager, who also doubled as our wedding planner, was nothing short of amazing. She planned all of our activities from zip-lining to white-water rafting to the hike around the private reserve, in addition to coordinating both a masseuse and a yoga instructor to come to the house. She connected us with Citrus for our rehearsal dinner and Bamboo Taco Truck for a beach day with tacos! She was always available to us-both before and while we were there. Ana was incredibly resourceful and organized when it came to the wedding. Message me if you want a full planning review. Roberto, the chef, was so accommodating when it came to different diets and food requests. Every meal was delicious! He's got a great personality and we really felt like he was part of the group by the end of the week. Adolfo, Roberto's assistant, was wonderfully hospitable. There is an awesomely oversized wood table, which allowed the entire family to eat together for every meal. This was one of our favorite things about the house. Nelson, the gardener who doubled as our hiking guide, was so helpful the entire week both around the house in the rare case something needed to be fixed and during the wedding day. He was super patient with us during the hike too! The cleaning staff was on point and always had a friendly smile around. We echo the prior reviews-this will be a dream vacation. We feel lucky the owner, Rick, built this stunning property and opened it up to us for such an important time in our lives. We would not have changed a thing-it was stress-free and perfect! Happy to be contacted with questions."

  • Beautiful setting, wildlife galore!

"Beautiful secluded setting with capuchin monkeys, toucans, macaws and all sorts of other birds and interesting wildlife. Killer view of the ocean and beautiful sunsets. Everything pretty much as promised. Only reservations preventing a 5 star rating were: all except for approx 36 hours of our 10 day stay we were without internet, and were on a constant back and forth between us, property manager and internet tech via brief email opportunities from internet hot spots in the village trying to have the issue resolved; no sharp knives or a can opener that worked. Other than that, Christine and Tom were polite & friendly hosts on the rare occaisions we were able to make contact : ) Overall yes, I would recommend Kasita Kristina Maria for those wanting the full Costa Rica experience."

  • One of our best vacations ever

"There were seven of us in our group. We had a perfectly wonderful stay at Lattice House and we all hated to leave, it seemed so perfect for us, so well equipped, and so beautiful. The pool turned out to be perfect for our 4 ½ year old – and the rest of us too. The staff was really great. Ana was there for us at the drop of a hat, and very helpful. It was remarkable how Alexandria and her helper could come in and serve our great meal and be almost invisible! The grounds and pool people were hard workers and friendly while staying in the background. We felt very well cared for and yet in our private paradise. Some of us took surfing lessons, others rode horses, we did some bird watching tours as well as bird watching off the deck, we went snorkeling, and we spent a lot of time in the warm ocean waters. The fun local beach towns with great restaurants drew us in a lot. But the best was the time on the deck, in the pool, relaxing with the great view and enjoying being together. We hope to return - this was too fun to do only once!"
