"This condo was even more than I imagined. Cathi was very helpful and answered my super long list of questions. The property was amazing! Beautiful views in every room and provided everything we needed. All of the staff was very warm and inviting, I will definitely be back! Pura Vida!!"

  • Stunning views

"Had a great time in this property at the start of green season. We did have some unbelievable thunderstorms (according to the caretaker, Bismark, the worst he's heard in 40 years), but everything was very nice and exactly as described, so read carefully. Some notes: - the view is gorgeous--this is what sold me on the property and we weren't disappointed in the least. As a bonus, we were treated to daily sightings of toucans and capuchin monkeys. They literally play in the trees & garden between the house and the road. There's lots of other wildlife. You'll wake up to the howler monkeys for sure. - there are a lot of steps to climb up & down. There's a pulley system to help with luggage, but you'll be going up & down steps a lot. - when in doubt, ask. Bismark's entire family is VERY helpful. We had a few bad sunburns; we able to help ourselves to some aloe growing in the garden and were given some aloe-based creme. It's so nice having someone nearby to keep in eye on things and to answer questions. - the beaches are nice--Playa Biesanz is more protected (no riptides) if you have smaller children. We actually drove to the entrance way and parked on the road--it's all up-hill coming back and we wanted the kids to have energy for other stuff. - the balconies banisters are somewhat low and the floor boards are spaced kind of far apart. It's nice but something you might want to consider with kids. - Since we did arrive in green season, it's worth mentioning that although it was somewhat hot, we didn't have any issues with bugs or mosquitoes or anything. There were some gnats in the bathroom sink each morning for whatever reason, but we didn't have any issues with biting insects. We had fans that worked well (we moved the big one downstairs to the 2nd bedroom where the kids slept; that solved that problem). - the kitchen was fine and exactly. The refrigerator/freezer worked well. There's no oven, but I honestly don't want to start up an oven when I'm vacationing in the summer in the tropics. There were dishes and pots & pans, toaster, coffee maker, etc. and those all worked fine. The outdoor shower was really good to clean up after a day at the beach. Also--it's hard not to look at the other non-5 star review... but in my opinion you can't compare properties in Manuel Antonio to Arenal any more than you can compare a mountain lodge in Colorado to a beach house in Hawaii."

  • Tremendous home with unbelievable views and fantastic amenities!

"Our family (2 adults and 2 teenagers) absolutely loved Casa Aguilita! The views were phenomenal from EVERYWHERE on the property. We thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in all of the outdoor living space....pool, hot tub, hammocks, outdoor dining area and sun deck. We were sure to be home for the sunsets because they were the best we've ever seen. The house was very clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. Mary (the owner) was an amazing host. She provided us with some food and drinks, helped to reserve activities for us, let us know what to expect and provided us with fantastic restaurant suggestions, menus, an activity selection guide and a great map to get to the San Jose Airport. It was comforting to know that she was close by if we needed anything, but she certainly gave us our privacy. There is so much to do in Manuel Antonio and the surrounding area. With the spectacular accommodations of Casa Aguilita, friendliness and helpfulness of Mary and many more adventures that we'd like to have in the area, we hope to return soon!"

  • Great big house close to Jaco.

"Wonderful house in Esterillos Oeste. This house has three large bedrooms and is spacious enough for a big family. We had four in our party. So the house was big for us. Lovely community. Felt Very safe there. About a two minute drive to the beach here. Best place to eat in town was Sin Rival. Prices are decent and the Owner Chris is awesome! We mostly cooked in. The kitchen has everything you need to cook meals. Could use a pan to make cookies . We enjoyed staying here at this house very much. The owners were good communicators. Recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet place but also beautiful."
