  • Nice Vacation rental

"The house was very nice overall and the location was nice as well. It is up on a hill in a small rain forest like area with a very nice view from the top 2 floors. I definitely recommend having a car, golf cart, or driver if you stay here though causes its a bit of a ways up the hill from the beach and other amenities in the area. The only defect with the property that I noticed was one of the door knobs to a bathroom was working but required some effort to unlock. Also suggest not leaving valuables out just like in a hotel because there is a pool guy and cleaning lady with access to the property. (there were safes in each room) Oh also. In the pictures it looks like a secluded property, but there is a neighboring house right next store on the pool side which is not shown in the photos. Not a big deal, just an observation. Overall it is a nice house and our experience was great."

  • Amazing View and Great Hospitality

"Our family of 4 stayed in Bungalow 1 for a week at the end of July and had an amazing time. The bungalow was wonderful, clean and cozy. The views were amazing and we loved hearing the Howler monkeys each morning and watching the Toucans perch in the nearby trees. Uvita is an awesome quiet little town with place with plenty of adventures near by. Some of our favorite activities were horseback riding to the Nauyaca water fall, hiking out on to the whales tale (seen from our front porch), and taking the boat trip out of Sierpe to Cano Island, where we saw humpback whales and snorkeled with reef sharks, rays, and turtles. In the evenings it was nice to sit out on the front porch and watch the sunset or listen to the rain and sounds of the jungle. Aly was an amazing host, she was so pleasant and easy to work with while planning our trip. Although she was not in Costa Rica during our visit, she was always quick to answer any of my questions and made great suggestions on fun activities for my adventurous family, as well as incredible places to eat. Trina, the care taker of her bungalow while she is away, was awesome as well. She was always willing to help or answer our questions. My daughter even made friends with her kids and went for a play visit while we were there. I would recommend Jungle Mountain Bungalows for anyone interested in getting off the beaten path and experiencing the real Costa Rica. This place is great for adventurous families or for those that just want to relax on the front porch while taking in the amazing views. We hope to return to Uvita someday soon. Thanks Aly for making our experience so much better :)"

  • Wonderful!

"We spent a wonderful week at this house. Playa Lapa is so close to nature - right there outside your door. We were lulled to sleep each night by the ocean, and awoken each morning by the wildlife (the parrots and howling monkeys were great.) Conveniently located to the national forest, and remote enough to truly have some unwinding time away from the hustle and bustle. Kitchen was sufficiently appointed, and plenty of linens to last us throught he week. Manuel and Phoebe are on-site and available to assist at any time. Take a kayak out to the lagoon to visit the crocs, or visit Phoebe's sea turtles. My son had an amazing first morning watching sea turtles hatch. He learned so much about nature and wildlife that it was well worth the drive. Would return."

  • Beautiful, spacious. Paradise!

"5 of us, 3 older kids and 2 adults, spent the most fantastic vacation here last summer. We fell in love with Santa Teresa and hope to return as soon as possible. The beachfront home is absolutely stunning and the garden is gorgeous. We had more than enough space and wish we'd known just how spread out the house was, we could have brought another family with us and not felt cramped! We always felt safe and having a/c in our bedrooms meant we slept soundly and comfortably. The owner of the house is a smart, kind, honest person and his home reflects his personality."
