  • Bali Ha'i!

"Perfect bungalow with breathtaking views, beautiful natural landscaping, a fabulous private beach that made us feel like we were in "South Pacific" (even though we were more mid-Pacific) and views of the sunset and jungle from the bungalow and the infinity pool close to the bungalow. Glad we found last minute availability for Tulemar through Green Coast Rentals. Julie was very responsive to my inquiry and questions about the area and property. Though our arrival was delayed because of a problem with our rental car, Frank met us and directed us to the resort and bungalow and helped us book a tour to Manuel Antonio with an entertaining and knowledgeable guide! The bungalow was simply but nicely decorated and very clean with a phenomenal view, privacy, a comfortable bed and quiet A/C. Great maid service and throughout the resort the staff went out of their way to assist us. Though we kept missing the monkeys on the property (it was too hot for them) we heard them early mornings and saw them in the park. Saw sloths close up by the pool area, toucans, many lizards and birds. We relaxed mostly at the beach, kayaked to take in the view, and snorkeled. Everything you need right at Tulemar. This was one of the best places we have stayed in our many years of travel. Loved Costa Rica and our Tulemar bungalow!"

  • Paradise Found

"If you're looking for that special place that makes you truly feel like you're a part of the Costa Rican landscape, then look no further than Casa Mas Mananas! The property sits high above the beautiful Pacific Ocean with endless views. It's fairly secluded, so offers you plenty of privacy while having easy access to the beach and resort below. The house is well appointed with beautiful wood furnishings perfect for relaxing while soaking in all the nearby sights and sounds! The kitchen is large and to modern standards and has a large island with additional seating for dining. We cooked most of our meals at the house and grilled using the bbq on the pool deck. We also spent several days of our holiday simply enjoying the house and large infinity pool which overlooks the ocean. Despite temperatures reaching 100 degrees F, the cool ocean breeze and ceiling fans were plenty to keep you cool, and all the bedrooms came with AC units. I read several comments about the wifi issues and lack of television, but honestly, we had no issues sharing wifi on our phones and other devices....and why would you want to watch television in the middle of paradise? I didn't miss it one bit! For as beautiful and tranquil as the property is, our holiday wouldn't have been complete without the attention of the property manager, Javier. From the moment that Javier gave us a tour of the property, to our many tours booked with him, and to sharing a few wonderful meals, Javier was simply the best! I've been lucky enough to travel the globe with work and stay in some of the nicest hotels, and Javier would rival any concierge you would find in a five-star property! He was simply a phone call away if and when we needed recommendations or assistance. His island hopping, ATV, and zip lining tours were truly a highlight of our trip. My parents, who had never traveled outside the US, were so appreciative of Javier's friendly spirit and calming nature. Our airline had lost some of our luggage, and Javier graciously acted as our main point of local contact to sort it all out. He even contacted a friend who opened up her clothing shop so we could replace some of our lost items. Javier seemed more like a member of our family, then he did the propert manager. So if you're lookkng for a stunning property that feels like it's away from it all, you have found it! My family and I are already discussing our return trip to Costa Rica and Casa Mas Mananas! Pura Vida!"

  • Idyllic Spot for Family Vacation

"My husband and I couldn't have been any happier with our choice to secure Villa Mayana for our 1-week family vacation in August ‘14. Not only was it an idyllic spot for a restful yet adventurous week, but we also chose this home for the location of our intimate, family-only wedding. All 15 (11 adults & 4 kids, 2-12) fit very comfortably between both wings of the house and had an unreal week. I'll start by saying we were a bit nervous picking a place we had not seen first for the spot of our wedding, but the photos really do a great job depicting reality-in fact, I don't think they do it justice! We were fortunate to see the property during our 1 planning trip in May and were blown away. We were also a bit nervous about the in-country flights and chose to do 1-way driving and 1-way flying during our initial visit. We think flying to/from Quepos is the way to go! Ana, the house manager, who also doubled as our wedding planner, was nothing short of amazing. She planned all of our activities from zip-lining to white-water rafting to the hike around the private reserve, in addition to coordinating both a masseuse and a yoga instructor to come to the house. She connected us with Citrus for our rehearsal dinner and Bamboo Taco Truck for a beach day with tacos! She was always available to us-both before and while we were there. Ana was incredibly resourceful and organized when it came to the wedding. Message me if you want a full planning review. Roberto, the chef, was so accommodating when it came to different diets and food requests. Every meal was delicious! He's got a great personality and we really felt like he was part of the group by the end of the week. Adolfo, Roberto's assistant, was wonderfully hospitable. There is an awesomely oversized wood table, which allowed the entire family to eat together for every meal. This was one of our favorite things about the house. Nelson, the gardener who doubled as our hiking guide, was so helpful the entire week both around the house in the rare case something needed to be fixed and during the wedding day. He was super patient with us during the hike too! The cleaning staff was on point and always had a friendly smile around. We echo the prior reviews-this will be a dream vacation. We feel lucky the owner, Rick, built this stunning property and opened it up to us for such an important time in our lives. We would not have changed a thing-it was stress-free and perfect! Happy to be contacted with questions."
