  • Perfect Place for a Wonderful Vacation

"This was our first trip to CR. The house is wonderful. There was plenty of room for 3 couples to have our space and yet be together. There was everything we needed and more. The welcome book was nice to have and having contact with Arvin was a great asset. He helped us with getting comfortable in the area since none of us have been there. We fell in love with Costa Rica, didn't know that could happen. Kevin was easy to contact and there was never a time that I didn't feel that I could call and ask questions. The larger grill was extremely nice, thank you for that. I highly recommend Kevin's home and CR in general. It was truly a wonderful vacation."

  • Truly, Paradise on the Osa

"Tres Palmas is absolutely breathtaking. The attention to detail in respect to the lodgings were far beyond my expectations. The craftsmanship of the main building and cabanas showed all the hallmarks of skilled crafters, even down to the hand carved reliefs on all of the solid wood doors. The grandeur of Tres Palmas is further heighted by the fact that this beauty is in fact smack dab in the middle of the Jungle The surrounding jungle and trees were teaming with wildlife every day. We spotted the majority of the may species from the comfort of the negative edge pool or within a short walk from the houses. I read that this area was rich in plant and animal species but never expected it to be literally outside my bedroom door. But wait.... as if this was not enough sensory overload it got better. World renowned surf was breaking just a short, but steep hike, away. The hike down to the beaches in the mornings were fantastic. The caretaker (Marvin) and his wife (Yerlin) were first class all the way. From the superior meals they cooked for us (there were 6 in our party) to the cleanliness of the house. Marvin was also very informative about the local culture, terrain, safety precautions, pointing out wild life and just being an all around wonderful person. Thinking back now, after being back in the states for a week, all I can say is WOW!!! Words really can not describe this place. One has to immerse themselves in order to get a full understanding. THANK YOU!! Marvin, Yerlin and family."

  • Lovely Condo with Beautiful View

"We stayed a week mid-February. If you want a condo on Jaco, this is a very good choice. The condo was very clean and the beds comfortable. We could go to bed early and never were disturbed by noise. The view from the main area beautiful and the location on the beach very nice as it is not crowed at all. Diamente Del Sol is on the beach in downtown Jaco, so there is no real need for a car for shopping and going out to eat. We rented a car in San Jose as we knew we wanted to drive to Quepos and Playa Herredura for fishing etc. If we had it to do over we would have taken the shuttle from the airport and rented a car in Jaco as needed. Jaco is not very large, consisting of a main street and a block or 2 up or down from the main street. The Diamente Del Sol is about midway on the beach, a bit to the north. The south part of the beach is the best swimming, but is also the older part of town (with an area for sale, building torn down but graffiti wall fence) and more locals and surfers come to the beach and park their cars on the beach as the rip tide is less so swimming a surfing is better (All beaches are public in Costa Rica.) We thought it nicer to be north. The pool and first floor is constructed so it is several feet above the beach level. This is very nice as when there is a car on the beach, one‘s view from the pool is mostly over the car and looking at the remainder of the beach, the palms and the ocean. Diamente Del Sol is made up of 2 towers. The 2 bedroom units are all the center unit with a 3 bedroom unit on either side. We stayed in a 2 bedroom condo on the 3rd floor. The view was lovely with the beach, palms and ocean. I agree with other reviewers if you have a 3 bedroom unit, you want to be at least on the 4th or 5th floor so you can see thru the thick palms, vegetation or buildings on the sides. The 3 bedroom units also have side views. The view from the back is not as appealing as the beach. One downside is the 2 bedroom units have both bedrooms at the back which face into the open hallway. One can see thru the open air hallway to the back of the condo, but if either neighbor walked out of their condo they could see into the bedroom…so one keeps the drapes closed. Note, not a big deal but nice to know, the condo comes with bare minimum supplies.. one hotel size soap in the 3 bathrooms,1 hotel size shampoo in 2 bathrooms, one dishwasher soap pellet, 2 kitchen trash bags, one sponge and surprisingly an ample supply of hand dishwashing"

  • Very nice place to stay!

"This is a villa in a private condo, with its own golf course and private access to the beach. The villa itself was comfortable for the stay there. It might be small for four people spending too much time in there, particularly because it does not have a pool of its own. There is a pool at about 200mts away. The complex has a small market with the basic stuff (a little overpriced), and if you have a car, you can drive 15-20 mins to a town center to go into bigger grocery stores and other services. There is a restaurant with reasonable prices. The golf course can be used, but I did not see nor ask for car rentals. The beach is around 400mts away from the villa, and the beach is stunning. The beach is clean, no stones in the sand and the see is usually calm and no dangerous currents because of being in a closed bay. There are wildlife to entertain the view as well: red macaws, monkeys, iguanas, urracas, sea gulls and other birds. Brink bug repellent if you plan on going out to the green areas. The villa has the basic stuff to cook and enough utensils for four people. Bring your own toiletries (shampoo and soap), towels are included."
