  • Great for families

"My family greatly enjoyed ourselves at this wonderful beachfront condo. We were two kids (age: 4 years and an infant), a grandfather, my wife and I. The stay was perfect, the view was beautiful, the pool was great, and the interior was wonderful. The kitchen was fully stocked and we cooked almost every meal. The local stores had everything we needed (tip: just buy local goods from the stores, anything imported from the US is overpriced and bad such as apples and grapes) The owners and property managers were very helpful from the moment we expressed interest and throughout the stay. The building is almost the last building on the north end of Jaco and is very quiet (but note that a casino will open up sometime in the near future). The best way to get around town is by taxi, which is only $2-3 one way. There is no need to rent a car (@ $60-100 a day including insurance)! Most people in the building were retirees, which was perfect for our family. For surfing, there is a school not far away (WOW Surf) that I took a lesson on. Get in shape before you try it!"

  • Perfect spot for a relaxing beach vacation!

"Casa Miramar was the perfect place to kick off our honeymoon! We spent a week there relaxing, recharging and enjoying all of the beautiful sights in the Dominical area. The house itself is the perfect place to relax, we spent many hours sitting on the deck watching the ocean and enjoying meals and snacks that we prepared using the fully stocked kitchen. A few other things that were great about the place - it was spotlessly cleaned prior to our arrival, the decorations were lovely so we really enjoyed the space and the curtains are nice and dark so you can really block out the early morning light if you want to sleep in (which we did!). The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to prepare meals and there is a washer and dryer for sandy beach towels. The house is set up on a hill which gives you a feeling of total privacy, but it's not so far up the hill that you feel isolated or that it is inconvenient. There is a really useful house handbook that we referred to in planning our daily activities - the handbook has information from the house owners and reviews from previous guests. There were only 2 of us, but the house would also be great for 4 as there is another very private suite downstairs with a private bathroom. We spent one night in a local hotel and can say that aside from all the other great points about this house, it is a great value. Super clean, comfortable and equipped with modern amenities at a much lower price than local hotels offering similar amenities. I could go on and on about how wonderful the house is - highly highly recommend this place."

  • Gorgeous views, spacious and wonderful service!

"Casa Luz is situated overlooking your own personal jungle! Every room has a view better than the next! We spotted a sloth, toucans and a monkey in the trees and enjoyed a symphony of birds every morning on the deck. Our boys, 13 and 16, loved the pool and all of the adventure activities Natalia arranged for us (Catamaran, Mangroves, Ziplining to name a few). We had a wonderful meal prepared for us the first night (for the same price as a meal in town) and ate leftovers much of the week. There is a little store just outside your driveway gates for the basics and many tours provide a typical Costa Rican meal. We enjoyed El Avion and Victoria's for dinner, but there are many choices we weren't able to visit this time. We would strongly suggest renting a car with a GPS (programmed for Costa Rica). We drove and navigated our way to many places quite easily, despite some roads being quite bumpy. While many people did walk to restaurants, etc. from this home--it was at least 1/2-3/4 mile to the main road with no shoulder. Locals seemed very accustomed to this, but we were happy to have a car. Take the time to visit places off the beaten path-- our visit to RainMaker was one of our favorite days. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of our home and Manuel Antonio. It isn't fancy or brand new, but there is definite pride in ownership and we had everything we needed for our stay. The people, especially Natalia, were gracious and accommodating and truly lived up to the motto--Pura Vida!!!"

  • AWESOME FUN

"Had a great stay at Villa Bonita. The amenties, the house, the location, and the owner were just AWESOME. The town also had a great diversity of restaurants, which was great. I would definitely stay again at Villa Bonita."
