  • Absolutely wonderful!

"We stayed here with our two daughters, ages 14 & 10. What an amazing place! After sharing a hotel room in La Fortuna for 5 nights, it was so nice to stay in this condo and have room to spread out! We also appreciated having a washer (detergent was supplied) and dryer to clean our dirty clothes. The condo is spacious, modern, clean, and comfortable. The view is breathtaking, and the sounds from the birds & other animals are charming. The women at the front desk are so incredibly nice and helpful, and were happy to book our excursions (at no additional cost) for us. There were fresh towels for the pool and beach at the front desk as well. The pool is a bit small, but perfect for cooling off. We loved our stay here! Thanks so much for sharing your amazing condo! :)"

  • We Love Villa Mot Mot!

"My husband and 13 year old granddaughter stayed 3 nights in Villa Mot Mot out of our 2 week trip. We wanted to spend a week but they were booked. This is my second stay at Villa Mot Mot and my granddaughter's first visit and we both agree that this is our favorite place to stay in Costa Rica. I have travelled many times to this country and I will continue to come back to Villa Mot Mot. My favorite thing about Tulemar is the beautiful private beach and the individual Villas and Location. One of my favorite things about Villa Mot Mot is the large wrap around balcony with sofa, chairs, tables, grill, hammock, rocking chairs and monkeys. We stayed in the upstairs of the Villa which has one bedroom with 2 queens, bathroom with 3 shower heads/rain shower, Nice kitchen with 2 burner stove, small refrigerator but everything you could possibly want in appliances, including ice maker and wine cooler. Living room has a trundle bed and is beautifully decorated and all rooms have floor to ceiling windows with 360 view. We will be back and hopefully for a much longer stay. Concierges, Chris & Diego, are like friends you have known forever and are so helpful with restaurant info, tours, shopping, etc. They call daily to see if there is anything you need from them-thank you! And, thank you Susan for offering your wonderful Villa!"

  • Natural Setting and Large Lot.

"There is a lot of value to be had here. Cabuya is a small kinda remote town with some nice folks. The Beach in front of this house is visually beautiful but we did not swim there we opted instead to drive a really fun 4x4 road to Mal Pais 7km away which runs next to the nature reserve instead to surf and swim. We also swam on a nice beach on the road to Montezuma. After two runs on the road to Mal Pais it seemed easily traveled, but do not attempt with some familiarity with off road driving in my opinion, road can be rutted in some steap areas, with 3 streams to cross (just go slow). Lots of wildlife along road. We also visited Montezuma and went snorkling on Tortuga Island. As long time boaters in cold waters the journey through the big swells in an open boat with a sputering and stalling engine were to be remembered, in a good way. Glad the water was warm! Nice snorkling. There are nice people in Cabuya. Cemetary Island beckons you to visit. We did not although we had some very vivid dreams in this house, a kind of energy exists in this whole town in my opinion. And it is good. Not luxurious, but clean and does the job nicely. Property has a big gate and lots of room. Owner communicated very well and was a joy to interact with. There is a hazardous tree on the edge of the property, but it caused us no issues at all. We did see monkeys right next to the house a few times along with a very large black cat. There are some sodas and a great bodega right down the street. Suggest you have a 4x4 rented here to visit other areas close by. House is as pictured, simple, and the owner really had a lot of useful information and was wonderful. Costa Rica is so wonderful we are going back again and while looking for another house (this one was boked) I figured I would write a review. To sum this house up: not expensive, not fancy either, great owner and the caretaker Rosa was nice. A clean Tico style house in a less travelled Tico feeling town."

  • Best time of our lives!!

"Not really sure where to begin… My husband and I have had the opportunity to stay at many beautiful homes but I would definitely have to say that this home surpasses them all. Every square inch of this home was made for pure enjoyment and relaxation. Costa Rica is filled with so much adventure and beauty and to be able to come home to Villa Paraiso makes it all seem so unreal. We spent most of our time just hanging at the house because it had everything you needed. The house is set in green forest excellence and yet you are just a few steps from the beach. The full time staff was one of my favorite parts, the concierge set up all of our activities from horseback riding to ATVing. We would wake up in the morning, have our cup of coffee and our horses were waiting out in front of the house. Anything you would ask for was taken care of and we truly will always remember this beautiful place. I am so sad that we are not there anymore but hope to be back in the near future. Thank you for opening your home for others to enjoy. It has been such a gift for our family."
