  • Beautiful and peaceful location

"I had the pleasure of spending a few nights in Casa Vista and had a chance to truly unwind... The views of the Whale's Tail and the Ballena coast are exceptional from this unit, and the breezes were pleasant all day long... Saw many species of birds including chestnut mandibled toucans, fiery-billed aracaris, laughing Falcons and chachalacas... The use of the refreshing shared pool was a bonus as well! Conveniently located only 5 minutes off the InterAmericana hwy, and just up the hill from the Jolly Roger, a great little bar/hot wing joint with awesome sunsets. Diane and Peter are great hosts who are very laid back and generous with their beautiful property. Strongly recommended for a person or couple looking for a relaxing place to come home to after a day of exploring the regions countless beaches, etc."

  • Casa Arenosa, amazing tropical escape

"We stayed at Casa Arenosa in April and had an amazing time! The house is so beautiful. We enjoyed the large open kitchen for cooking meals, making smoothies and hanging out in. There are so many seating areas throughout the house, including hammocks, so it’s easy to find a place to relax or socialize. There is also a plunge pool, which was perfect for cooling off during the heat. The beach is just a few steps from the house through some almond tress. The water was beautiful and we saw so many scarlet macaws in the trees! It was great to come out and watch the sunrise at the beach as well. Mornings were also good for seeing all the wildlife that’s around. There were toucans, and tons of monkeys in the trees just outside the house! The caretaker Mike is great. He even made us a delicious dinner one night with fresh fish he had caught himself that day. The sheets and towels were changed every few days, which was very nice as well. The place is perfect for anyone looking for an incredible tropical escape, whether it’s just a couple or a large group of friends. I would highly recommend it to anyone."

  • Awesome property and location

"This house is beautiful, very comfortable, very tastefully furnished and equipped with everything you will need. The location is to die for. The house is situated very high up on a hill overlooking the water. You do need a 4X4 to get there. The pool area is gorgeous. Our first day there we saw monkeys, tucans, and a sloth in the trees surrounding the house. Visit Osa Mountain during your stay if you can. There is ziplining, a restaurant, a wildlife rescue, and a butterfly sanctuary featuring various species of butterflies from the area. The road up Osa Mountain is very scenic as well."

  • Breathtaking and totally relaxing!

"Four of us rented in February 2014. LOVED every minute. Why? FANTASTIC views, beautiful pool and amazing staff. What else? Well, many places are a bit decorator-y, but what we loved about the house was how relaxed and comfy, simple and easy it was. We loved the location...a few minutes to Dominical or Uvita and the fabulous La Macha fish store right nearby. The climb was not that big of a deal as the road is really in good shape. Loved our helpers, Andrew and Jeanine. We loved it and want to come back! Thank you to the Stubbs family for creating such a beautiful warm home for all of us to experience. Big hugs!"
