  • a jewel in Jaco

"My husband and I escaped the East Coast winter at the Monte Carlo in Jaco Beach. What a find! The 2-bedroom condo was beautifully appointed and a comfortable home away from home for 5 weeks. The beach, shopping and restaurants are short stroll away, but what made our stay special was the wonderful staff! We hope to return next year to this little gem."

  • Fantastic villa, location, and host in Dominicalito, Costa Rica

"Four friends (two couples) from Burlington and Oakville, Canada, we took our first trip to Costa Rica, and rented the Casa Antigua villa, based in the Las Olas community of Dominicalito. In one word: AMAZING! The house is gorgeous, new, very nicely furnished, and has amazing amenities (security guard, infinity pool, garage, BBQ, fully equipped kitchen, fantastic entertainment centre and sound system, A/C in all the main areas, and more), and all the things you'd need in a "home away from home." Best of all, when you want to relax, just lean back, float, and enjoy the infinity pool and the STUNNING vista from the top of the hill (where Casa Antigua is located). The weather was fantastic, there were almost no bugs, you could see and hear birds all the time... just spectacular! Clinton, the owner/manager was fantastic - he was flexible to our needs, endlessly patient, and ensured that we had a great first stay in Costa Rica. With the home where it was, we were able to fully take advantage of the home, but also the natural beauty of Costa Rica: - beaches in Dominical, Dominicalito, Uvita, Ballenas - restaurants (La Parcella, Jolly Roger, Por Que No) - the quaint towns of Dominical and Dominicalito - the Nauyaca waterfall - fresh Ceviche from Miguel's Ceviche Stand - fresh fish from the fisherman in Playa Dominicalito - grocery stores, banks, ATMs, and most other amenities All of the above were within 5-10 minutes drive, at most, from the home. All in all, a highly recommended property, in an amazing location, with everything you'd ever want!"

  • Dream Vacation

"My family of four enjoyed Villa La Vista tremendously. The house is very clean and well maintained and the staff is exceptional. The housekeeper will do your laundry if asked, which was excellent as we kept the towels fresh and didn't have to bring home stinky, sandy clothes. We had some issues getting the microwave to operate properly, but apart from that, had no problems. We were greeted upon arrival by a group of monkeys which excited my kids to no end. We also viewed a pair of toucans outside our bedroom window, were visited by a large lizard that liked the heat of the roof, and saw much more wildlife while exploring the area. The beach was outstanding and so close - we didn't rent a car and had to take cabs everywhere due to a medical issue, but saw many of our neighbors walking to and from the beach - it is steep and requires a 4 x 4 if driving. We took great enjoyment in the pool - so refreshing and the perfect size for a family. With the privacy, skinny dipping was fun! I worked with Sabrina, the concierge, ahead of time to book several tours, all of which were handled very professionally and as agreed - no unpleasant surprises! She even helped (to overcome the language barrier) order pizza for delivery , and when a cab wasn't readily available, she took us to our restaurant of choice for dinner! We especially enjoyed the jungle night tour, horseback riding on the beach at sunset, zip lining, the Ocean King catamaran trip, surfing lessons for the kids, and parasailing on the beach (with Mary's Rentals). The food and drinks available to order on the beach were excellent as well. This vacation was a big deal for us - my husband owns his own business and can rarely take this much time off, so we made every minute count. Having never been to Costa Rica, I feel very fortunate that I chose Villa La Vista - the house and staff made all the difference between a getaway and the vacation of a lifetime. Thank you!!!"
