  • Charming house, great hosts!

"Our stay at Mango St. Casita was just what we hoped for. It’s a sweet little house, next door to owners’ house, but out of sight—sufficiently private. We had our own little patio that backed up onto a patch of jungle, where we saw birds, butterflies and cute little lizards – but not the sloths or monkeys other guests sometime see! Owners Nichole and/or Mario would stop by every day to see if we needed help organizing anything, or finding food—I had some of the best fresh fish I’ve ever had, when Mario found us some red snapper that had just been caught that day! They helped arrange trips to Corcovado, snorkeling, the night hike (fabulous!), and a private bird-watching walk (Carlos was great!). We loved having our own little place, and felt very taken care of as well. The house is a 5 minute walk from the boat landing, or to the collection of little restaurants and tiny tiendas in town. You can also walk from town down the coast, in the jungle with ocean views and sweet little beaches, for as far as you want. We had a great time, and would happily come stay here again!"

  • Perfect family vacation home! Great location for adventures in Montezuma, Tambor and Santa Teresa.

"Very Beautiful home with lots of extras! It is a bit remote but we liked the tranquility and privacy. I recommend having a car and going on many adventures within an easy walk or drive from this great property. Tennis courts, golf course, soccer field, horse stables are next door and your backyard pool is superb! 5 min walk to beach and restaurant and Tango Del Mar spa resort and lodging. Concierge service is offered thru Tango del Mar and we used them and booked things online ourselves using Tripadvisor."

  • A dream come true

"My surfing family just stayed in this front row bungalow and we were blown away. The view of the whole beach and endless perfect waves were more than we expected. The accomodations were rustic, yet upscale. The sunsets every night were magic. After seeing the community we were very very happy we chose a front row bungalow or we would have been looking at the back of someones house from our deck all week. We are better people for having stayed there. I'd recommend this place to anyone."

  • Great Home! Great Value! Great Host!

"I was part of a group of six adults and two children staying at this most awesome home for Christmas 2014. In every group, some can be comfortable, while others not. I loved Gary's home! Everything that is needed can be found here! I loved waking up before sunrise, sitting on the back porch with my husband watching the sun rise over the beach. Pool stayed in almost constant use. We used the built-in barbecue located next to the pool. This area also boasts showers, bathrooms, and volleyball net with ball! ready for a fun family game. In the backyard, the fence door opens right onto the beach. After walking on the beach there is a water hose making it easy to rinse the sand off. This house is in a perfect beach location! Really enjoyed walking for a couple of miles after the tide rolls out in the morning. Beautiful landscape, lots of nice people to meet. Most amenities Gary listed were put to good use, #1- WIFI! The Ping-Pong table held several matches, the foosball table saw some action. Even my husband enjoyed the rope swing… we have pictorial evidence. We enjoyed puzzles at the table in the evenings. On Christmas, we played our annual game of Risk which lasted to the next day! We left the game for many others to enjoy. If you like open air, then this home offers it! Large windows with large doors that allow good circulation throughout the main part of the house - gives a "beachy" feel and not closed up. Plenty of ceiling fans throughout the house! Full kitchen with plenty of counter-space. A large refrigerator and pantry. Easy to cook breakfast and dinners when desired. Bedrooms were spacious. If a box fan is not in your room, ask Gary and for an extension cord if need be! It is true the shower water is not American standard hot. Gary was able to adjust the water from being tepid to warm. Gary is the best host ever! Shortly after arriving my husband became ill from a flu he picked up at work and unable to travel to the airport the next day to pick up the rest of our group. At a moment's notice, Gary was able to make the second trip but also stop by the pharmacy to get flu medicine. His wife immediately provided two icepacks. Everybody's opinion matters, but only you can decide what is important to you! If you are looking for Pura Vida in Costa Rica with the greatest host, the greatest place, at the greatest price… choose property #17355!"
