"I stayed at El Jacalito with four friends for the most relaxing, enjoyable two week vacation of my well traveled life. This home is so spacious and comfortable with so many areas to congregate, dine, rest and chat that one feels to have an entire private resort at one's disposal. I loved the kitchen for staging buffet meals, appetizer spreads and quick meals on an impulse. Everything you need is there including candles for atmosphere and many seating options for couples or groups to enjoy. Without the distraction of TV and the internet, I found that we all talked to each other a lot and solved most of the world's problems, created all sorts of DIY craft projects and told adventure stories to each other that were nearly forgotten with our usual busy lives. We relaxed in the pool, the warm ocean and had rounds and rounds of splendid massage from the very kind caretaker who has magical hands. I would recommend a candlelight massage on the top of the the cabana with breezes blowing. Bring your favorite cream or lotion for an unforgettable experience.
This is a very family friendly house with plenty of space for everyone. The caretakers are very competent and respectful of your peace and quiet but they are certainly available for any assistance or suggestions that you might need. I will return to this wonderful piece of paradise by the ocean, it would be hard to resist go again, I am making plans already."

"Our family of six enjoyed a long overdue getaway. What a wonderful treat it was to spend it at this beautiful spot. The grounds were beautiful. The house was clean and well equipped. The swimming pool was perfect! The personnel were superbly helpful. It was a delight to be there. We are already looking forward to going again. We recommend it 110%!"

"This is my second time staying at the property, and will be back again in the future! It is a short drive from San Salvador and located between Libertad and Tunco, making it easy to get to either places for groceries, restaurants, or night life. There is a nice restaurant/hotel next door where you can get drinks and food, as wel, which is really convenient. The kitchen is nice and open, with a great sitting area downstairs and a beautiful pool and back yard. Depending on the season and time of day, there is a great beach for walking, or during this time of year, for watching surfers. We love Foci, the guard dog, and Linda and her family are always very welcoming and helpful. Great for a quick getaway from the city."

"After spending a week at Casa Azul, we just wanted to stay. The owners clearly put their hearts into designing this funky, beautiful, kid-friendly home. Our 2 year old loved being able to go in and out of the gradual-entry pool and exploring all the kids toys. I loved the american-style kitchen will all the amenities I am used to. The bedrooms and bathrooms are all beautiful and very comfortable. But really what takes this place over-the-top are the sunsets over the infinity pool (ok, and sitting on the deck and looking at the stars at night, too).
It is super easy to get over to the beach, run into El Tunco for supplies or go over to my favorite restaurant in El Salvador - Ola Beto's, just down the road.
The place isn't brand new anymore, and has a bit of wear and tear, but hardly noticed after settling in."
