  • Beautiful, Private and Peaceful

"I recently spent a week by myself at the casita at Villa del Olas. It was one of the best weeks I've spent in ages - perfect for contemplation and relaxation. The casita is immaculately kept, as are the grounds, and it is well equipped. Tyler was available for anything I needed, but my privacy was completely respected, which I appreciated. The view is mesmerizing - and at low tide, the beach and water are gorgeous. If you want to check out local restaurants, they are nearby. I couldn't drag myself away from the amazing view and the sounds of the waves that lulled me to sleep at night. I will DEFINITELY return."

  • The best house in the best beach!!!!

"I have been thinking of what to write to you, because words can not explain or described how much my family and I enjoy your house, we have stayed at a different houses on the beach, but for one or another reason it was not the one, well we found it, we found the place, time and most of all the house we really enjoyed. My mother, husband and I flew from California to meet my brother and his family and their dog and stayed together for 10 days, we also had family visiting almost every day and enjoy the beach, BBQs the pool and most of all each other. The house allows you to do that with their private setting, the house is beautifully furnish, the kitchen is very well equipped the bedrooms are very spacious, everything in the house is just right, the owners really thought of everything! what you see in the pictures is really true, the people working in the house are very nice and pleasant Keyna the maid cleans every day the pool also gets clean daily they are very respectful of the guest. Can't wait for our next vacation in January 2015"

  • The pictures don't do it justice

"This property far exceeded our expectations. Came here for a 9-day surf trip with some friends and was completely blown away. There are three main hang-out areas: the main house with 3 bedrooms and a large open veranda with a bunch of hammocks; the gazebo on the point, incredible view; the west residence which houses the kitchen, 2 bedrooms and abuts the pool. Pool very, very nice and relaxing. Private steps down to a private beach and a hideaway, super-refreshing outdoor shower. It is a walk to the main surf point but well worth it for the beauty of this house. It should also be noted that the 2 bedrooms in the west building do not have air conditioning, but everyone was quite comfortable with the ceiling fans nonetheless. Santos and Karin took exceptional care of our party. Cooking when we asked, guiding the uninitiated into La Libertad for supplies on occasion. I have been to Playa El Zonte many times but most of my friends had not. Now they will all be coming back."

  • THE BEST EXPERIENCE!!!

"My cousin and I were only in town for a short while and wanted spend a couple days at the beach. I found this beautiful place while searching online. From the looks and sounds of it I thought "This sounds like a good find" but it was more than we could have ever dreamed of! First off it is a part of one of the most prestigious areas and just down the hill from a fantastic restaurant. But that is just the beginning, once you come on to the property it reveals the most beautiful view imaginable! As we pulled down the driveway it was a little steep, but I promise you, if you are able bodied and able to go up and down some stairs; this cozy, private set of bungalows will blow your mind! Vilma (the owner), our hostess was the absolute BEST! Very hospitable, kind and accommodating! The area is right on the beach, I mean literally steps away. Each bungalow has its own balcony where we witnessed enchanting sunrises and sunsets. The pool is lovely and clear with plenty of seating area. The beach area is private and clean AND SAFE! Our room was spacious with clean linen, comfortable pillows, fresh towels, liquid soap a small fridge and A/C. It is quaint and clean but the view is so amazing off of your balcony and other areas; you will spend very little time in your room! We spent our first night walking along the beach star gazing, the next morning Vilma made us a lovely breakfast with great variety. We had our cell phones which allowed us to do most of what we needed to do via the internet but when we needed to do anything detailed there was a computer available to us. I know while we were there they were attempting to get the wi-fi up and going. (But please keep in mind this is a secluded area and may not be the best place to come if you want to be on the computer the whole time) But whatever it is you need Vilma will do what she can to help you. For example, I asked about yoga and the next morning an incredible man met us for spiritual yoga on the beach. It was so enlightening and uplifting. So there you have it...GREAT PLACE, GREAT PEOPLE, GREAT FOOD, GREAT VIEWS and a few stairs. : ) I love it and I will be back!"

El Salvador Travel Tips

Finding Your Way to El Salvador Vacation Rentals

El Salvador's main airport is the Comalapa International Airport which is located approximately 30 miles southeast of the capital city of San Salvado. The airport is commonly referred to as simply El Salvador International Airport. The airport hosts regular daily flights from international destinations, such as Los Angeles, Mexico City, Miami, San Jose and Guatemala. The flight time from Los Angeles is approximately four to five hours. If your vacation home offers an airport transfer service, it is advisable to make use of this. It may be slightly more expensive than a taxi fare but at least you can be assured that you will have a speedy and hassle-free transfer. There is public transport available in El Salvador but it is not advisable for visitors to use the buses. The taxis in the cities are usually reliable enough.

Travelers to El Salvador Villas

El Salvador is the smallest of the countries in Central America. It is tucked away on the Pacific coast between Guatemala and Honduras. It is one of the lesser-known travel destinations in Central America and the ideal place for those looking for tranquility and privacy. Enjoy miles of pristine beaches easily accessible from your vacation home. The luxurious villas make you feel like royalty enjoying a slice of your own private paradise. If you enjoy long leisurely walks along the beach, surfing or swimming, this is the ideal vacation destination for you. The villas are large enough to accommodate groups of 10 people or more, so invite your friends and enjoy some tropical luxury at a relatively affordable rate. Most visitors to El Salvador are from North, Central and South America with a much smaller percentage from Europe.

Things To Do at El Salvador Beach Houses

El Salvador is becoming known as a prime surfing destination. The miles and miles of beautiful coastline and the consistent swell provide ideal surfing conditions. You can wake up each morning and walk straight onto the beach from your vacation villa. Near the main resort towns, there are designated beaches for surfing and swimming. Flags also indicate the water conditions and if there are rip currents that you need to be aware of. La Libertad is one of the most popular surfing areas.

El Salvador is a leisurely vacation destination. Most people enjoy lazing poolside or on the beach and enjoying the tropical sunshine. If you are looking for some entertainment, you can visit some of the nightspots and enjoy some of the local Latin vibe. In you are interested in the country's history, you can visit some of the war museums which detail the country's turbulent past and provide insight into the culture of Salvadorians.

Best Time of Year to Visit El Salvador

Located in Central America, El Salvador enjoys a warm tropical climate. The coastal areas are hot and humid for most of the year, and the interior highlands are moderately more temperate. Like most other Central American destinations, the rainy season is from May to October. Tropical storms do occasionally blow in from the Pacific Ocean. Travelers should be cautious about traveling during late summer as this is when the storms occur most frequently. From November through April, the trade winds dissipate their humidity over Honduras and arrive in El Salvador as hot dry winds. This often leads to a hazy atmosphere which gives the landscape a mystical feel about it. For most people, this is the preferred time of year to visit and has become the peak tourist season.
