"Firstly, I'm not a review writer. Never wrote one before, probably won't ever write one again. But we were so blown away by our amazing four nights at Casa Tzampoc last week that I couldn't help myself. From our first contact with Barry & Nannette, it felt more like getting back in touch with old friends rather than making travel plans. They had limitless patience for our myriad questions. Even before making our booking, they went out of their way to call us and make sure all of our questions were addressed.
THE HOUSE: Effortlessly walks that fine line between the pure simplicity we were searching for and grand luxury. Easily accommodated all nine of us (we're an extended family with kids). The outdoor fireplace was awesome, pool was perfect, large showers were heaven. Even the small touches were appreciated - the towels are extra plush. House is easy to get to, i.e. no boat needed (unlike some other properties we considered), and for small grocery shopping Santa Catarina is a quick walk. And the house is IMMACULATE - yup, they sweep under the beds. WiFi & TV worked consistently, kitchen appliances are modern.
THE STAFF: Nicholas (caretaker) checked in on us but was never intrusive. Teresa and Pascuala were our cooks and made great breakfasts to order. And they were lovely to be around.
THE AREA: Go! You will love it as much as we did. It's magical. San Pedro for the nightlife, San Marcos for a relaxing afternoon. And please stay at Casa Tzampoc...it will feel like your second home and you will cherish the memories you create there."

"Pamakanya is amazing. What a festive, cool, unique and lovely home!!! We went with our 3 kids ages 4,7 and 9 and my 70 year old parents. We all fell in love. It's all so cool, the views from the upper house are incredible. I recommend at least one sunrise session from the deck (you can't actually see it but the sounds and morning light are captivating). Having our own dock, kayaks and houses was a delight. Katie and her whole crew were incredibly responsive, kind and accommodating from start to finish. 4 days wasn't enough and we'd LOVE to return if we can!"

"This is our second stay in this apartment. We returned because it has all we wanted, The unit is completely furnished right down to a blender ( which we used for mamey/zapote milkshakes!), garlic press ( for our guacamole!), comfortable sofas , and a great king size bed. New windows keep out noise ( we slept well...unusual for us). There is a balcony to enjoy the goings on below, always enjoyable. Also, a rooftop terrace has splendid views of the volcanoes and is a peaceful oasis. Patti takes great pride in her place and is available for any help required and is always willing to answer questions."

"Wow- where do I begin? This place was amazing-from the views, to the service, attention to detail, the food and did I mention the VIEW???
David was great with booking and follow up, Daniel patient and awesome with coordinating our arrival and helping us with a couple items we left behind. Ronnie was great on site and saw to our every need-even booking transportation and a boat for a tour of the lake, arranging swedish massages etc.. Angela was our friendly and talented chef who prepared our healthy, delicious dinners.
This property is just amazing with breathtaking views, gorgeous decor, super super clean everything, and beautiful pool, fountains etc. There are A LOT of stairs, so consider that if someone in your group has mobility issues. I loved it- got to work off all the great food running up and down the stairs."
