  • Wonderful Experience

"Our experience with Lee and Elaine exceeded expectations. Lake Atitlan is a unique and beautiful place that offers visitors an opportunity for the trip of a lifetime. Through their friendly support, we were able to realize this opportunity. From arranging transportation from the Guatemala City Airport to the lake, assisting in grocery purchases, designing and delivering wonderful tours/experiences and booking hotel reservations in Antigua, we were helped by Lee and Elaine from beginning to end. The accommodations were clean, comfortable and were exactly as pictured. We will remember this trip for the geographic awe of Lake Atitlan, the unbelievable cultural immersion with the Mayan people, and the friendly professionalism of our hosts, Lee and Elaine."

  • Exceptionally gorgeous property!!! AND IT IS FOR SALE!!!

"We stayed at the Castle Casa for 1 week in March. It was so lovely, relaxing, with incredible views of the lake and lots of mature vegetation and fruit trees. Beautiful construction - gorgeous built-in huge chiminea-style fireplace - the entire house including all rockwork and stone paving was hand crafted. The home had stylish furnishings with all kitchen amenities and we could not have asked for more. It is at the end of a recently-paved road and transportation is not a problem with all the small "taxicabs" available. If you want to walk, the town of San Pedro is only 10 minutes away. We would hands-down recommend this to anyone looking for a really good quality get-away at a fair price. And the owner does want to sell it!! Good investment!!!"

  • Wonderful Escape

"My husband, two teenage children, and I stayed here for two nights in June, and oh how we all wish it had been longer. It's a magical place. Waking early and watching the birds and the lake from the home will be one of my favorite memories from a very memorable trip. The view of the lake from the home is breathtaking, in such a romantic setting! The accommodations were spacious, comfortable, and decorated with warmth and style. All the staff members were so accommodating and polite and always with a smile. The meals were prepared and presented so thoughtfully. A very sincere thanks to David Yates, the manager of this beautiful property. David looked after us incredibly well and was always a phone call away if we had a question or needed any suggestion. He went above and beyond what was required or expected, and took such good care of us that it felt as if we were visiting a dear friend. We have traveled quite a bit and know that this is a rarity. It’s definitely a place my family will remember forever. We would go back to Casa Tzampoc and Lake Atitlan in a heartbeat."

  • Cozy Nest in the Heart of Pana

"This property is one of six in a small Hotel, "Milagros del Lago," located on the Main Street of Panajachel some three blocks from the waterfront. It is an efficiency with all the necessary amenities: kitchen, dining table, living area with divider for bedroom with king bed, and plenty of closet space. The bathroom is roomy and the water is hot. Tasteful decor and furniture give the space a homey feel. The balcony, second floor, overlooks the street, and is a comfortable perch for watching merchants and tourists interact. The windows are double glazed and seal out most street noise, allowing for a restful sleep. Cable TV provides abundant English Language channels and the Wifi is strong and consistent. There is a pleasant rooftop area and a well stocked paperback library. Tastefully selected art adorns the hotel walls? Views of the lake and volcanoes are complimentary. The proprietor has made a genuine effort to be "Green'" using organic soap and recycling. There is daily maid service from Monday until Friday. The maid does laundry for a nominal fee. One caveat: like much of Guatemala, the water in Pana is not potable, but five gallon jugs of drinking water are provided. Should I again plan a visit to Panajachel, Patti's petit hotel will be my first consideration!"
